      That goes to show the key is definitely not power but pure technique!

    Hey mate that’s a class video. Thanks for the tips and honesty. I’m on the path to this.
    I did see with your follow through however- you were finishing with your hands on the front plane. I saw the master finishes with his arms behind him, at kind of a diagonal angel

    When I played Football back in the 90s a friend of mine would take a throw-in and boy did he get some great Distance. Now how he did it was a trick if you are right-handed
    what you would do is put your left hand behind the ball now the trick is to put your right not on the side as you would do left hand and right on the side of the ball but instead, put it straight behind the ball. Now when you take a run just as you get to the sideline your left hand goes limp you throw the ball only with your right hand it is like a goalkeeper taking a throw out with one hand try and get back to me it will work.

    I had a season ticket at Stoke for 10 years until ill health stopped me going in 2018. The pure "theatre" around Rory's throw-ins was great. The crowd got involved from the moment the ball went out. Even the wiping clean of the ball was cheered as the opposing fans complained about the use of towels. The build up and throwing of the ball was joined in by 27000 Stokies, all knowing that the opposition were crapping themselves. Great times. Great Fun. Great goals. (sorry Arsene!)

    Maybe height helps alot. I think all the throwers are tall. Maybe you throw OK for your height. Now I want to test myself doing that.

      Yeh I thought maybe limb length, whatever it is I'm certainly not built for it 😂

    Hello mate. Love the videos I follow them all. What is the possibility of you sending me your vertical jump program please. I want to start a program but can’t afford one from the big names.

      Hey, there's a few decent ones for free. Vertical Jump Bible 9to5strength.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/vert_jump_bible.pdf and my 4 month custom program might be okay depending on your training background docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1uC_wEhW0gaDqjqhkhyyulozH2M9B_Rdb72pYIuYfbKs/edit?usp=sharing

      Not at all, just not making a video update until the new year. Started microdosing finasteride about 8 weeks ago, have written everything up on my website 9to5strength.com/hair-growth-self-experiments/

      Not for now, it was too big a time commitment. I'm doing winter training for indoor 60m sprint and have been tracking my countermovement jump so I might do a standing vert video if I can get some decent results

    if you want to throw a ball far look how to throw the javelin. its a body/core throw you dont pull with arms first but absolutly last

    • @9to5strength
      @9to5strength  2 місяці тому

      Yeh I watched a load of javelin content for the gym exercises but struggled to map across the technique itself. That makes sense now as to why my core training gave me the biggest overall improvement, cheers

      @@9to5strength yeah lower abbs core is very important takes some time to get the stability. notice how he is lifting himself up with the legs and then torso moves and arms are back like a slingshot. you can also do/should also do these reps slow/slow or smooth atleast. focus on the energy transfer from the floor through your body(your body starts to do big movement) up into the ball.
      Good luck :)
      also a "heavy" ball like 2-3kg might help you
