hey yall! I took the test last week and and the ela is really close to the handbook in terms of difficulty and the math is like a mix of the handbook and Tariq's classwork. The test was decent, ELA was good I got Form C1 Which only had 1 Poem. I feel I did good on ELA, I annotated, Highlighted, Wrote notes on the side, I did the process of elimination Although ELA Took a good 2 hours and 10 minutes. I managed to finish math in 50 minutes with 10 seconds to spare lol. The math section was eh, Most of the things we reviewed were there but there were barely any circumference/diameter questions. Most of the questions involved fractions and charts and graphing. It was still hard but hopefully, I get the results I desire and worked hard for.

The test for me, had only 2 geometry questions with identifying angles and one surface area question. The rest was ratio and proportion. They also included a lot of slope questions with both the chart and graphs

@@10k190 you should check out some sample problems just to make sure you aren't too rusty on anything with a 627 practice score it's incredibly likely that you will get into bronx sci
update: took the test and you really gotta keep up with the time, that’s the biggest challenge. ela was much easier for me so whoever takes it in the future I recommend doing math first then ela (depends on you)

just watch your pacing, I recommend to finish math in less then an hour,bc the Ela is tough to read and comprehend. So you are going to need more time on ela then math
Back in High School I was proud of Myself to fill note book w Professors Algebra but I could not read my own notes for exam. Years laterI advised my girl friend to divide each page for only two math problems w space so you could read for final exam study. She got an A.

@@isaacnewtoon-bm6vo if ur taking the normal shsat and not the retake that is plenty of time. You can learn a lot in a month especially if you already know seventh grade math. If you don't there is still hope. Remember that depending on your district you can be selected for Discovery so if your school isn't well funded or if your in a lower income you can normally score below 440-480 and still get into your top choice through discovery. Just remember that discovery cutoffs also range year to year just like the normal cutoffs.
If possible, can you upload 9th Grade Shsat Math Problems from your 2020 workbook of 10 Practice Tests and 13 Worksheets? I bought that book from Amazon and I wish that you could assist me with your video. I hope you read my comment!

It depends on both cutoff scores and where you put Staten island tech on your application, if you put it on your top 4 and you meet the common criteria/cutoff score requirement to get in, then, you should be set! If you put Staten island tech Lower on ur list or didn't meet the score requirements, then I hope u got a seat at another school (87-93% on your practice test can easily get you to Staten island tech if u performed similar or the same on the test
