In my view Rati Agnihotri most talented but underrated. She was very spontaneous and natural. I would put her in the class of madhubala type artists who just mesmerized with their lightness in performance. Ratiji is the best.

Rati ji is a very very talented actress. I am a big fan of her. I have seen almost all hit movies of Rati ji. Tawayaf is the best Movie of Rati in my view. I could not meet her .Actually I have struggled in Bollywood for some years so I have met almost all big stars.

Still remember her in a tamil film in early 80s, Niram Maaratha Pookkal with Sudhakar. Who became a comedienne in telugu films. Was in high school, fallen for her beauty. Why is that most beautiful looking people, suffer the most??.
Rati Agntihotri was not only beautiful but talented also that was seen by the great filmmaker LV Prasad who presented her in 1981''s 'Ek Duje Ke Liye' with tremendous success of which she shot to fame overnight even as legendary B.R.Chopra realized acting flair in Rati and exploited the same in his superhit movie 'Twaif' wherein Rishi Kapoor was her hero. She has contributed hugely to Bollywood and will be .remembered for that, always!

I saw the movie Tawaif about two dozen times which is a muslim social drama.Her acting was superb and I was surprised how well a character she played of "Sultana" and the excellent Urdu she spoke.

Lively video of an accomplished actress. Rati married on 9 Feb 1985 exactly a year after her film Mashaal was released. After the 80s I haven’t seen an actress like her spontaneous & beautiful. Her graceful presence enhanced the quality of films in which she acted like Aiyaash, Hukumat, Mujhe Insaaf Chahiye & Boxer to name a few.

Hopefully you will in this new era of internet, have more up close interviews and interactions with the legends at more lengths. And making us believe and taking us near the stars that we all humans. One of the saddest aspect of marriage..is domestic violence. After being being hit..a wife loses all faith and confidence in husband.
May be husband saw his father abusing his mother and that's how he learnt.

i agree with you but it is not necessary that the same evil should be repeated and continued some one should take an initiative and stop that even the son could have taken positives from that experience and vouch to himself i would not do what my father is doing to my mom or the mom could have educated and groomed her son that see what is happening is not right i would not want you to do the same to your wife and your son to his wife and this goes , so please stop and never do what your father has done to me. This happens because we let that happen. I am a man and luckily i didn't see this happen in my family with my parents but when one of my sisters got married this actually happened and i vouched to myself i would not do these things to my wife when i get married and by god's grace i put that into practice what i felt then and then my sister's son did the same like he felt what his father is doing was not right and he vouched that he would not do repeat that and now by god's grace he is leading a happy and successful life with his wife and kids and his mother and he didn't treat his dad badly either as a revenge so after a certain period in his old age his dad mellowed down too but it was too late though and now he is no more.

@@jkishan1964 thanks for the appreciation. i would say not just this domestic violence but also these rapes or dirty comments on all social media on ladies and these eve teasing which most of the times crosses decency is all result of not getting proper grooming to the male folks at home by parents and other elders. This male dominated patriarchial society's norms, rules and regulations justifying all the bad deeds of the male members where as it is always the female is oppressed, suppressed and taught to behave is also one of the reasons for all the crime against women whether it is a big city or a small village this is rampant and in feudal society's it is the only law and as long as this double standards prevail the crimes against women will continue.
If every male thinks what if someone does this to my sister or my family ladies how would i feel may be this empathy would stop or at least minimize the crimes related with women. I hope there are a good percentage of men who really empathize with women and think and avoid and behave properly and decently. earlier on some similar topic when i commented in a decent way, i got lots of vulgar comments which i cant even share here by some folks which shows the sick mindset and upbringing and at least you have the courtesy and decency in your comments which i really appreciate and make me think there are more people like me who respect the women folks because it is the women which gives births to us, it is the women who ties rakhies and pray for our long and safe life , it is the women who is the better half and home maker and it is the women who takes care of their parents be it daughter or daughter in law if we think that way. Even though i am not a hindu but even in hinduism the female goddess are shown powerful be it shakti, durga, kali, lakshmi or saraswati and people still dont understand the value and respect of the women. sorry boss for this long comment you know when you feel someone is there to listen and appreciate you pour your heart out, sorry once again.

we were all working under her father Late Mr.Roop kumar Agnihotri,she was a little girl riding bicycle ,she had a very good Filmi career and we last saw her in Qatar,when fortunately she was staying in Sheraton ,when myself and one Mr. Lobo working in Qatar.she invited us and we exchanged old memories.we dont know after that,it is very sad that she had a divorce in this age.we are not aware of it.we pray she should live happily.
