- With this short video, get a beginner's introduction to Twine and learn how to create your own interactive fiction or short game. Created and presented by digital storyteller and game designer Mel Frances, this video accompanies Modern Art Oxford’s digital participatory artwork, branch (10 February - 13 March).
branch is a digital, participatory artwork inviting creative storytelling and shared imagining about what might come next. branch is set inside a forest of multiple possibilities, inviting explorers to write a story, or delve into those written by others. Fusing game design, interactive storytelling, speculative fiction and citizen science, branch was created by Mel Frances in collaboration with a group of nine Creative Consultants: Laura Aris, Taniya Batra, Divjot Kaur, Phantom Lovewell (they/them), Matthew Elliot Pitfield, J Ponte, Vaishnavi Singh, Luke St Clair, Vaishna Surjid.
I think you are a natural teacher and made understanding the basics of Twine very clear. Have you thought about making another video that teaches even more about Twine - next steps?
This was very well put together and a great intro to Twine! Thank you so much! Cannot wait to jump in and start creating my own adventure.
Great introduction video. Short and sweet. Love it!
I love Twine
thank you so much!
thank you!
is it just me or has the format of twine seems to have changed?
I love the narrative possibilities of twine.
But I am having problems with embedding media. I want to do it via Google docs or something i can control.
Any suggestions? Thank you.
The built-in subtitles are too distracting - thanks though!
