A BIG THANKS! For mentioning and remembering Papa Dee, MY DAD, and and Sharone, many thanks for the respect, they were awesome individuals!
I wish I had gotten to meet your Dad (one of my biggest regrets). I shot some Lowrider Band footage in Chicago; Lee Oskar himself told me that I reminded him of Papa Dee (I have a pretty unorthodox sense of humor. Also at the time, I was a bit on the "fluffy" side lol). He was a powerhouse. RIP to him and Charles Miller.
In case you were wondering, I shot Slippin' Into Darkness and The World is a Ghetto at the Beverly Arts Center in 2012. You can find both of those clips on here.
Yes Eric Burdon the best ✌ yeeeees........
Your father was a huge part of the band. Such a talent, they made music for generations to come. WAR for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. They deserve that honor
I remember you if you was one of the boys me and my brother played with in Boulder Colorado at Caraboo ranch (excuse my spelling) when war was cutting the low rider album...Sharron is my big sister...if you are one of the boys that was there you and your brother should be in your sixties...your dad was the baddest Congo player ever❤
That's my big sister singing...I miss her so much...I found her dead in her apartment in 2013...Sleep in Heavenly Peace Sis😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
This is THE song for today's COVID times. No live gigs but we will always have music.
RIP all the departed WARriors. Even in death, they can't take away our music.
Beautiful, beautiful Eric, you mesmerizing, green-eyed soul brother. 💖💖💖💖😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
So True
in den achtzigern sah ich ihn life...sturzbetrunken....aber seine musik ist unvergesslich🥰
I was there, on the 16th of February 1971 at L'Olympia in Paris, close to the stage, seing for the first time Eric Burdon, my favorite singer for ever.
Il y avait des affiches partout, sur les murs, dans le métro à Paris.
Je ne peux pas oublier ce concert magique. C'était formidable !
❤✊🏾❤🤘🏽
They’re all so great! Long time fan of Eric’s though. He never disappoints!
Eric Burdon is top
That young LONNIE JORDAN can sing dammit.......👍🎤🎤🎤🎤🎤
and the old one can too
Believe me lonnie is older than he looked...they were all around the same age range except for pappa dee...
This song, these people, have been punching it out in my life for over 45 years. Amazing they/this is as pertinent then as now, year after year. I feel that Mr. Burdon chose the path of being a voice of the people rather than the path of the big-bucks. Thank you for posting......
+The Laguna Tuna I totally agree.. Eric cared more about others than his pocketbook.. Still jammin too.... xxx
so many comments ... so true... close your eyes and tell what colors you see...
Check out some of Eric's recent videos!
That ol' man can still deliver a song with grit and growl, and a great voice, and a great sense of phrasing. My admiration of Eric Burdon is growing all the time.!
I watch every video I can of Eric’s. His later videos are awesome too.
@@oldrvr True
He will always have that killer voice and look until he flys on out of this place. Love the man
Love Eric's voice, so powerful and natural, every song he sings he makes it his own, and to this day is still great! ;)
+ Barbara Agree, Agree!!!
He is my favorit too ,from House of The rasing sun 1964 to day
Heartfelt, I Love this musical force!
Saw them March 1971 Fillmore West. Panama Red made an appearance.
Everyone of these beautiful souls singing takes me Higher and higher every time I listen! They cannot take away our spirit or our music , unless they take our lives and even then we shall still be singing and our spirit with our Father Above ALIVE with HIM forever as Jesus, One and the same, overcame sin and death when He arose! ♥
🙋♀️massa 😍🤪
Never! It's Ours, All day long, with "3 Fingaz and a Smile, In the tall grass somewhere"!

Grandiosa actuación.
Meravigliosa.
This particular performance gives me inspiration and good positive vibes! Love, peace and joy. ♥♥ Eric, I can tell when you come in to sing as your vocal timbre travels miles into the sky! ♥ Love to all and Happy Thanksgiving to those in USA. ♥
No full version?
yes they can, and your flag too.
+jackie Oh no, no one can take away our spirit, maybe you should leave the USA and go back where u came from, You know, I dislike negativism so if you can't say or type anything positive , then don't type or speak at all . Bless and thank you :) :)
I love this song, which is funny cuz, I don't like eric burdon. Something about the voicing.
WAR , Eric is great but my dads group makes it better
