im in slp grad school. i record myself reading my notes and reading the book. if you have an iPhone, you have a voice memo app that you can just record yourself. i go back and listen to it if I'm driving somewhere, or i go to the gym daily and will listen to it there. it almost becomes an audiobook. it so easy to take basically anywhere with you. and it almost allows me to think about what I'm listening to versus just like staring at words on paper and trying to comprehend it right then and there... if that makes any sense haha! also getting a whiteboard and just writing things out over and over again really sticks it to memory in my opinion a lot faster and it doesn't waste so much paper!
Thank you so much for sharing your study strategies!! 💕
Lots of good information Melissa!
This is really good information thank you!
Could you possibly go Into more details about the different job responsibilities in each setting? I’m curious about it
Oh good!! We’re glad it was helpful. And yes! We can put this in another video 😊 Thanks for the suggestion!
Thank you so much for the videos, I'm thinking about becoming an SLP but I'm not sure if it's the right path for me, how do I know? What kind of places can I work at as an SLP?
We encourage people to job shadow, volunteer at a clinic, interview an SLP working in the area of field you might want. Any extra information can be helpful. SLPs can work in many places. Below is a link from ASHA explaining all the settings.

I am finishing up my BA in psychology. Do I need a BS in order to become a SLP? I just learnt about this career 😖
Nope! Both a BA or BS will work. But because you have your degree in psychology, you will most likely need to do a post baccalaureate program to get your SLP prerequisites before grad school 😊
Lütfen Türkçe altyazı ekler misiniz?
Bu bölümü okuyorum fakat Türkiye' de kaynaklar ve kanallar kısıtlı...
Hi, yes we can try! We’re not exactly sure how to do that, but we’ll definitely look into it and see what we can do. Thank you for the suggestion!!
