    I live up here in Southern Ontario Canada and last year I was hiking along a friend's farm property when I found my first artifact, I now have 10 different pieces including a large scraper.
    I get such a wonderful feeling inside when I watched all of the reactions of those fellows when they showed their discovery. Thank you and best regards from Lloyd.

    From the looks of things you are unearthing what was a relatively densely populated Native American encampment or village.
    Great finds, and great friendship in appreciation of past lives and civilizations.

    You should fill that display case up with epoxy to make a solid block. Still a amazing find! I found my first point last week two houses down from me and was dragging the back 20ft of the back yard to get the bumps out and I stepped off the mower took o e step and I don’t know why but I stopped and looked down and there she was still stuck in the dirt. I was giddy as a school girl!! I’m 53 and been looking for the past 5 or 6 years for a whole point and it finally happened!

    .Wow friend, great organization in this type of search. I hadn't had the opportunity to see them looking for points in this way. You will surely continue to find beautiful and interesting pieces there. How do you identify when a tip has been subjected to heating? I was happy to accompany you, always learning from you. BLESSINGS.

    • @HeartbreakerRelics
      @HeartbreakerRelics  4 місяці тому

      Thanks my friend. When the material has been heat treated the color will change. With gravel chert it will turn a shade of red (from pink to deep red) depending on the temperature.

    So you guys aren’t recording any of the information about these findings? All the potential knowledge of the past of this location is being completely lost forever. There’s a word for what this ultimately is…looting, straight up.

    • @HeartbreakerRelics
      @HeartbreakerRelics  4 місяці тому +4

      You sir are off base! Every point I find is logged by location. If you knew what you were talking about you'd understand how many of these sites are being lost to development every day! The artifacts and information gone forever. So give yourself a pat onnthe back and cookie and go crawl back in your safe space.

    • @LLcooljoe1969
      @LLcooljoe1969 4 місяці тому

      @@HeartbreakerRelics Unfortunately for you, I know exactly what I’m talking about. You have no organized units, no measurements, no maps, you aren’t studying the soil for any features, etc… You’re just a bunch of guys burrowing through the soil to find points to sell or add to your own private collection for bragging rights. It’s absolutely disgusting to someone professionally trained and who cares about the history of the prehistoric people that lived here long before Europeans showed up. There is absolutely no justification for the theft of cultural relics. I’m sure you never dig up a burial either…too bad you’re too old to be educated.

  • @mishap00
    @mishap00 4 місяці тому +1

    Is this legal in your state? I know a lot of places that what you are doing would be called looting native sites. If it is legal I don't have a problem with it, but it is kind of a shame that no archaeologist has gotten a look...or have they?
    Sorry, that sounded kind of judgemental it was not meant to be I just couldn't think of a better way to put it.
    I just love history and there is relatively little known about the pre columbian history of North America compared to say Europe and Asia.
