@@CD-Freedom it's a ship designed to fight and kill larger ships, so heavy cruiser in modern naval standards would fit. It's definitely not a destroyer.
I was hoping to see Dooku’s Punworcca 116-class interstellar sloop, a Geonosian ship modified to the Count’s tastes, including the addition of the solar sail.
I cannot get enough of this channel and the Bens. I start my day with them. I am still curious, I feel like I haven’t seen American Ben in a bit. Is he alright?
The Recusant really made it on this list? Feels like that's reaching a bit, but it is one of my favorite Separatist designs so meh. I mean that in the "this isn't obscure like the other ships on the list" way. The Sabaoth is freaking cool though.
A lot of the CIS stuff mentioned here are tanks/large droids, I'd love to see an episode on tanks/assault vehicles (manned or droids) if one doesn't exist already
It's been a while since I heard of the Separatist support ship. And when I heard of it again, it has an official name by Star Wars' way now. So congratulations, I guess.
Great video, some awesome picks here like the Bulwark which was really fucking bulky. A few ships are missing that show up in some games or mods, I have no idea how canon they even are - Techno union frigate/destroyer, very sleek yet starwarsy design - Wavecrest frigate, an absolutely beautiful ship that is canon but I don't know if it's model from Republic at War mod is. Probably the most powerful frigate in that game, looks stunning as well, a true piece of art.
I always thought there was a story in the Recusant class. That the Calamari had leaked a faulty or poor droid brain in an attempt to have the enemy use a substandard Ship.
hear me out... the munificent star frigate could have saved many of the military problems of the empire. minimal crew, with the powerful weaponry the empire wanted, extremely cheap to produce and maintain, full capital ship systems, definitely had carrier ability for ties. basically the exact size and power of ship the empire needed as a capital ship.
Allen, the kind of Star Wars content you put out is perfect for the Star Wars fan like me. I’m deep in the lore but not as deep as the most hardcore fans..and this is exactly the level of deep diving I like. Not anymore, not any less
Its disappointing that the Recusant-class (unlike other commonly known CIS shops) doesn't make much appearance in video games such as Battlefront II (2005) or Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga (2007) after Revenge of the Sith. Were the developers of these games lazy to even include it, because it looked similar to the Providence-class Dreadnought? Because it's like since these two streamlined ships are almost similar in appearance they don't even bother trying too include. But at least it makes several appearances in the Clone Wars TV show (unlike other ROTS ships and vehicles that aren't seen in the show), and the Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars (2011) game.
The Recusant Class wasn't a rare ship, there were supposed to have been hundreds of thousands of them built according to the Star Wars Guide to Warfare
Please work on your music mixing. The last video killed my ears and this one while a bit better was still killing my ears. Not headphone friendly at all. Otherwise great video but please fix your audio mix.
I'm not sure if it was intentionally of not, but the clone wars always reminded me a lot of the American Civil war, in its reasons, in what was believed by many, and in what the reality actually was. In the Clone wars, on the surface the confedracys side was presented as a planet rights issue(as the south presented it as state rights) and the corruption of the Republic(again, the south did the same) that was real(in both cases). And many in the CIS really believed this to be true. And there was a lot of legit weight behind these claims, again, also true of the American Civil war. The North had a lot of issues, state rights were a real issue and in many ways were really being stomped on. There were tons of legit reasons to be pissed off. But the leaders of the CiS had other much darker intentions, same with the south. Both were using legit reasons to stir up the population to achieve horrible ends. Sith control, or slavery and their wealth(though those also were part of it for the Sith, was the south led by Sith?) There are just too many connections. And also, to this day, some people try to pretend the south was rightous and just fighting for state rights. And while many of the people believed that, the leaders very much weren't and it wasn't their reason for war, just teir excuse. And the same is true with the Cis.
It always cracks me up when they call the Recusant a "light destroyer"
SW is bad at classification of warships. Like freighters in Star Wars are armed like modern destroyers lol
What would be a more accurate classification?
@@CD-Freedom it's a ship designed to fight and kill larger ships, so heavy cruiser in modern naval standards would fit. It's definitely not a destroyer.
@@DarkPuppy9 When you have to deal with the threat of bein' attacked by Pirates, bein' armed to the teeth is a must when operatin' in the Outer Rim.
@@frankg2790 truth! But the fact that most civilian freighters in SW are pocket warships their classification system is bonkers.

I can't lie, idk how some of these are rare because they seemed more "uncommon" than rare. Atleast the Recusant and the OMNI cargo ship.
And the hardcells appeared in the movies

Yeah we could have factions’ rarest ground vehicles, speeders, and tanks. Or maybe even a video for rare Separatist droids!

The Saboth Destroyer looks absolutely badass
The Hardcell class looks rather close to one model of mech dropship from Mechwarrior. So does the command ball of the Lucrehulk.
So many great ships rarely used.
Admiral Trench is my favorite Separatist. 🕸🕷Edit: Allen, you're Generation Tech, bro. (What the hell? I* wanna be "Generation Tech!" I pout! Hard.)

The Recusant isn't made for close combat. It has two long range big canons on the front
Great list! I think another ship that belongs on this list is the Wavecrest frigate.
