This routine really makes me torn about who should have won that year. Cali had some amazing talent and were flawlessly clean, but top gun has undeniable difficulty. I have no idea what the point differential was but it had to be close.
I think (in general) gyms just started focusing on quantity and difficulty rather than technique and cleanliness. But all the new rules and regulations were put in place after an increase in injuries during practices and competitions, so I think it was a wise decision. Also, long live CaliCoed! This routine is amazing!
its funny because in 2009 i think top gun should have won and cali gotten second, and in 2010 i think it should have been the other way around ooh well, love both teams
don't get me wrong california is amazing, but i think the reason top gun won that year is because the pyramid for california was very boring, not much went on, top gun's was very good, and also top gun had smooth choreography when cali didn't. in my book that's top gun winning every time. but cali is still very good
