Jordan Poole: Just a Kid from Milwaukee

- For the first 16 years of his life, Jordan Poole lived in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Due to his head coach at Rufus King International High School leaving, Poole eyed a change. As he says himself, it happened by chance where during a game of Nike's EYBL, then La Lumiere head coach Shane Heirman was watching Brian Bowen play with Meanstreets. Meanstreets was playing the Mac Irvin Fire at the time. Poole played with the Fire during the spring season of AAU ball. Heirman was looking for a shooting guard and Poole was looking for a new coach. The match was set.
Almost a year later, the match proved to be perfect. Poole matured into a young man ready for college not just with basketball but with his grades as well.
InTheGymHoops was fortunate enough to cover Poole throughout this past year of his life. See how he has embraced change, from transferring over to the Mac Irvin Fire from the Playground Elite (which he later went back to at the end of the summer) and from Rufus King to La Lumiere.
