what is the role of this node? what job does it do in the ecosystem? why is it called a node since in essence there is no hardware? for a stake program it seems to me.
Hi, great questions. Node sales, genesis NFT mints, IDO pre-sales, airdrop farms etc. all of these are just forms of crowdfunding and/or marketing for projects.
Each are essentially a pre-purchased package of tokens that will be released to the buyer over time depending on how they interact with the protocol / ecosystem / community.
Traditionally, nodes were indeed a hardware + software component of decentralizing a blockchain with token rewards as the incentive.
But this concept has been adopted as just another system to distribute tokens and the branding of a "node sale" has become a meta trend since the previous bull market.
In the case of Galaxis, their engines emit their token and Launch Key NFTs to the community based on how much the participant helps the community grow which is quantified by their pool weight (more like a social node).
They could have just branded that mechanic through a genesis NFT collection instead but the NFT market has an issue with enforcing royalties on secondary sales and is also extremely volatile so a "node sale" is a much more stable form of crowdfunding and distributing token rewards. The staking mechanic is just to stop the circulating supply of the token from becoming too inflationary by rewarding the early community until more retail investors arrive in the market and altcoin demand increases.
imop, it is best to not take crypto too seriously and to just look at how each project is distributing their token and come up with a strategy of how to trade that system effectively.
A bear market will send almost everything to 0 anyway, but before that, the right narratives and speculative demand can create alot of wealth.
Galaxis is actually making a solid product with real utility so we'll see how that performs - but everything else is just branding and playing the game of speculation.

Hi, if you click on the "claim" tab in the dashboard you will now be able to transfer the tokens earned by your nodes to your wallet - the actual nodes themselves cannot be transferred until all 50,000 are sold out; until then they will remain on the platform: 03:25

good evening.. how much do you think the price of a token will reach at the end of 2024
Hi, well that depends on many factors - especially how quickly BTC climbs to its bull market peaks and how big the altcoin and NFT seasons are.
But, personally, i think the token could get to around 0.20 cents by end of year.
Currently, the market cap is at around 4.5 million and the market conditions and search engine interest for crypto are at the lowest they've been in almost a year. Once hype for crypto picks up again, low cap tokens can climb past a 100 million market cap easily. For Galaxis, I think it will peak with the NFT market so that will possibly occur throughout 2025.
