If you get a generator, get a Dual Fuel propane and gasoline unit, and a few 10 gallon propane tanks for it - safer to store propane tanks in a residential garage. And some LPG generators can run on Natural Gas too. Or have propane tanks if the Natural Gas goes out. 13:00

Red Prepper here. Run to Harbor Freight and grab a small backup solar generator. Such as an Ecoflow. You will be able to run and charge electronics (including coffee maker) in your house and use the sun to recharge it.
Definitely a good idea. When we put solar on our house I had a battery installed also. No need for a generator, it can power the house for as long as the power is out
You know, you could gather your folks and it’s not too late to evacuate. Also keep the weather channel just on… It’s so like Walt to chose the highest land. God love him! Plus, your mom is gonna be wanting a dinner to cook. Do you have just snacks? You have to pick up real food (chicken, bread, a a vegetable melody, tomatoes. Also get cookie and a cake. We got a small Honda generator and a small window AC unit a couple of years back. Game changing. Power outages no longer mean sauna fest and spoiled food.

Wow....that is fascinating that Celebration has the power lines buried. I always wondered why we don't do that throughout the majority of America. Seems to be a no brainer imho. 😘
Wish our power lines were buried here in northeastern KY, but nooOOoO.. it's a regular forest here and wind/ice/sleet/rain plays havoc with tree branches, leaf clusters, saturating the ground to the point the 150 year old trees are uprooted and laid down like dominoes and the power is out for a minimum of 12 hours (on a sunny day) up to 3 weeks.
I'm hoping this storm gets a lot weaker but I'm glad to hear you are taking some precautions. This central Florida area was smart putting the power lines underground. I never paid attention to that until this storm.

just a tip i heard. fill your bathub with water just incase for drinking and then fill a tote or big container with some water or collect the rain water to help flush your toilet incase your power goes out and stuff.

Adam fill your bathtub with water in case you lose water you can use it to flush toilets. Fill your freezer with bags of ice in case you lose power. Get a grill and charcoal and can goods soups tuna etc
I live about an hr from you. Most people here have boarded up and prepared , most businesses have shut down .DeSantis said he has more fuel trucks on the way.now we just wait and brace for whats to come our way. Hopefully we won't sustain too much damage

I haven’t even watched all of your video yet. But make sure mini Marge is fully charged. I would expect to lose power. After the storm, I would expect large debris on the roads, probably unable to get a full size vehicle through. Mini Marge should be able to get you out for what’s needed.

It was early in the morning and you had your "Piping hot caffeinated beverage" in hand entering the elevator we exited. I think you were very tired after the scary night prior.
