The fact they are selling that for nearly $500 is criminal. Their is no more then $20 worth of equipment on that.
It is you can get an older asic for cheaper and that would use much safer ethernet rather than wifi.
Agreed. Especially for something that will never make profit.
Wow. Rip off
You can get the usb miner itself for $190
@@michaelcarson8375 you can run rigs off wifi just secure it..
Yeah, it's the price of some older miners, but I can't have a 3000 watt miner that also screams at 80 decibels.
Nice craftsmanship I guess, but 500 bucks seems quite steep for something that will more than likely never roi. I would turn my s9s back on before I bought one of those.
when you get it for free it doesnt matter, kinda shilly honestly. i would never recommend this
For that RIDICULOUS amount of money required, they could have at least implemented LED control from the Raspberry Pi :/
If I hit a 500 on a scratcher I might buy one. Hard to find parts to build these lol. Not profitable but it looks good on the table haha
@@TechManTY. i mean you can buy a S17 or even better an S19 "broken hashboard" for pretty cheap that still has many working chips on it they usually only have 1 or 2 bad chips(sometimes its resistors or other parts an all the chips are still good) then you just need a Pi-W heatsink an fan + a Pcb for the asic chip. But honestly for the $500 this think costs you'd be better off solo mining with a older full size S15 or S17 in this bear market those full size miners probably sell for about the same maybe just a little more. You just need more hashrate I wouldn't even attempt solo mining with 250Gh/s I'd want atleast 25TH/s this little PI miner is just a novelty item aimed at people thinking it actually has a chance at finding a block with such a low hashrate.
I love the idea of this thing. It’s not practical, obviously, but it does seem fun; every time you look at it, you can dream of hitting that block…kind of like holding a lottery ticket. I do think it’s a bit overpriced though, but it’s has a nice design. If it was half the price, I think I’d buy one just for the F of it.
nice, a 500 bucks paperweight with rgb leds
The average time to find a block with that is 21,000 years and getting a lot worse. But hey! Ya neva kno!!!
Lmao
If this was like $100 I would definitely buy it
You could just send me the $100 in the hope I send you 6.25 bitcoin. The chances are 1 in 500,000,000 of that happening, which are far better chances than this shitty box is going to give you one. If you think that's ludicrous, it is. But it's also a fact.
i wouldnt even buy it for 50
@ZaPpaul, it’s not about getting a Bitcoin block. It’s just a little taste of crypto mining to set on your shelf or desk that lets you dream of the possibility…that today could be the day. Looks cool too. It’s clearly not meant to be serious. Too expensive for a novelty item though 🤷🏻
@@ZaPpaul I would be spending the $100 for entertainment value/fun, not with the expectation of ever winning the lottery
Looks like a good Christmas present for the kids. They should build it with multiple cpus for that price.
The price point of this honestly makes it little more than a scam
If red panda mining talks about its not, said his sheeps.
@@zackk6415 He doesn't support everything he reviews. It was sent to him for free to review, doesn't mean he's promoting it.
@@kreak403 then why he's showing it lmao ? It'll still be promotion, making it "spread"
If someone even mentions something in positive manners and adding "% off by adding rpm" it's called promotion. Simple is that.
I'm doing this with block erupters! Awesome case!
If they send me that shit for free mby ill turn it on for fun, but paying 500 buck itsa a joke
totally agree... this is ridiculously expensive for the plain new-joes like us getting into the game.
do you now what the name of the cgminer raspi web ui is ? its probably open source and i want to try it out
it's cool...as an extremely expensive novelty item.
which frequencies you have tried?, 400 Mhz or 450 mhz?
I have 29 of these sticks I picked up on bulk sale overclocked the electricity cost is so nominal compared to my other ASICS it doesn't matter.
hi also it would be great if you made a video for us where you compare the chances of having a BTC block with this little object and with the new nice hash solo mining package at 2 dollars 20 dollars and 200 dollars
200-250 GH, man, I remeber that hash ranges from 2014 - antminer S1 used to have 180, and it was whole heavy machine - not a small chip. World have changed
Really cool device wish they had this like 6-8 years ago designed like this. (I know gekko has been around but not with this design) But 480$+ and it’s a break even at best at Pool Mining. And even if you had a 120 THs I don’t even think you have a shot at a solo block logically.. just my Opinion
🤡💎👐Solo⛏️
This device is a really cool but its significantly underpowered and there just finding ways to use up old ASIC chips that are no longer efficient. Also the odds of finding a block are much worse then people probably realize.
120 Th/s = 12,991 days
240 Gh/s = 6,495,988 days
@@paul.1337 The funny thing is i think someone has hit a block with one of these before (not this exact one but similar)....but dude is the luckiest S.O.B. alive.
Im taking a wild guess here but the S17 was known for hash board issues...i wonder if these are all used/repurposed chips from dead boards they have sitting in the factory from warranty claims.
@@williamsullivan1160 yh he found a block with about 10 of them
In concept, its cool. Place it on a shelf, set it and forget it. The price though? Go buy 500 scratch offs.
When does the unit pay out? Its been like 2 day and nothing.
Wasting of money and time..
“I don’t afford to scale an investment so Im going to discredit it” 🤡
@Turmoil is your username a biography? lmao
You can buy always one used asic with better power and keep it on solo mining more clever way more better price more power
This thing is marketed to suckers with dozens of worthless GPUs. You'll hit the PowerBall before you solo mine a bitcoin with that paperweight,
That thing is fkn cool, do they make them for other algorithms? Why do my gpus hash so little...?
The Apollo btc miner has more power than that and that's $500 to $800 lmfao what a rip off for less than $100 worth of equipment
Better odds then the lotto on daily rate
idk its cool idea but i would take 3070 at this point and mine with ergo -> btc
That is like a very very expensive lottery ticket.
Surely you can change the pool and coin and stick it on a profit sharing pool, mine something else for BTC lol
buy this shovel, dig a hole somewhere and find a gold nugget.
So should I buy one?
I don’t get it? This device has a GPU? Like I don’t see it?
I was going to buy a bunch of these since they are quite and im a residential miner and would love to get into btc mining but the price is a straight up scam
I tried to buy one of those little miners and ended up getting refunded because it never shipped wanted it so damn bad. How did it work out? Any luck? I hope you got a bunch of blocks
I think it's pretty badass. I just bought 2 yesterday used from somewhere else. Cost me $200. I think its a fun lottery play
RPM, Sometimes it's a good idea not to do paid promotions. Especially when they are scams like this.
Wasnt paid. I will always mention if it was. Also getting an Item for free isnt considered paid promotion. I gave all my own opinions and I did talk about the risks. Please watch the full video before commenting. If you decide to buy it its on you. I never once in this video said to buy it.
I’ll keep spinning up more nodes for now… 😂
Would someone with a little tech knowledge be able to build this? Would it be worth it ROI?
Like a race with the fastest man on earth, the bolt says no chance man! But yeah let's try aye
Red will you please make a video on setting it to mine on a pool?
I always wanted an USB miner, though paying so much for what's basically a lifetime lottery ticket that will most likely give me nothing is just too much.
Is that thing a FPGA? Where’s the GPU?
Old asic from failed in 2018 company, just marketing to sell 25$ as 500$ "merch"
Per day how much BTC income?
Electricity burn machine for free, that's what they should call this miner
🤡
Better off buying an apollo miner does 3th for $524. Just run with an old pc or raspii
So how much does this thing make for you?
Impossible, unless one owns a town of asics.
is it possible to mine litecoin?
It would be cool yo track how many people made this purchase and how many people win a block.
No one will win a block with this thing. The network hashrate is to high. That’s like saying you could win a ETH block with 0.1 MHs when it was POW
One billion to one chance? I'd say none will. Its like someone throwing a pea into an Olympic sized swimming pool and you grabbing a thimble blind folded and expecting to scoop that pea up. Not happening bro.
Great Video! I am tempted to buy one! Looks like a fun "lottery" style purchase.
Looks like fun: not profitable for mining: It only makes a few cents before power costs. Instead of Solo mining, better off buying $500 in lottery tickets.
Only if it can be use on other Algorithms
Per Day How Much BTC Mining That?
That would be a Woody Moment!
I may sell 2 CSGO knife to purchase one and leave in my elevator shaft roof room and never touch it till 2024 lol.
How about temperature bruh?
Got 9th solo mining btc since feb. No blocks of course yet. A few billion shares and best share is 130,xxx,xxx,xxx
You have to be very lucky to get a block with only 250GH/s. But maybe you are soooo lucky and get one. Good luck from me.
i would solo mine other type of SHA-256 coin with it insted
Please do a follow up video and see if it connects to pools. Or if it’s too slow to stay connected to a pool or not. I have a usb miner SHA256 and it does 15 Ghs from years ago. Buts it’s to slow for the difficulty and won’t stay connected to a pool since it’s to slow..
It wouldn't be remotely profitable. For such a low power draw have fun with the lottery play!
@@briananderson305 I know this I’m just curious if the faster one stays connected.
Try something like zergpool in password field you can set a difficulty level
@@TechManTY. I may just whip out the old beast and try that
Urs is probably a 2pac, like their first version
Lottery tickets in a new form i guess
Wouldn't it be much more profitable to mine regular BTC?
What are the returns like then?
Panda maaan get a chestcam with gyro…. Then your handsfree love your work thanks for all
250G can not dig a block in a lifetime.
Nice video! I like learning about this stuff.. but I wouldn’t spend that much money this I’d rather get a 3d printer or something
I can hardly wait
Definitely no change 😀
just buy a lottery
Chance of winning the Lotto 649 is 1 in 13 million (approximately)
Would it be more profitable to just pool mine with it? At least you are making some bitcoin, even be it small. Since BTC will be worth more in next bill run.
Especially your electric bill run 😂
you can pool mine sha256 on some pools, that has auto switching for various coins, at the highest profit rate. prohashing does it
Quanto satoche ela faz por dia meu amigo
500$??? Such a scam
can anyone really know about this can tell me is it worth it or its just a toy
Now we are gambling
I think it's time for you to implement some simple keyphrase filters in your comments section given how many spammers/scammers are shilling that lame/dumb/fake coin. There is only so much reporting one can do... 😭😭🤕🤕
When you were reading tha add script you said operating experiences, not sure if it was supposed to say operating expenses. Just a heads up, great video.
Cool little rig 😎
You should try pool mining for no other reason to show config setup and compare recurring earnings vs the power...
$ burn simply
When @rpm hits a block, us little guys will buy this. Rpm if you like DO find a block with like 0%, don’t publish it
Just a nice paper weight
nice idea but price is waaaaaaaaay to high
Get a s9 put in custom firmware tune it down to 250 watts and 3 tera hash wala
You can overclock a bunch of these to be over 3th for less wattage.
@@antscape for one I've already have them and using one s9j at 1.8th at 150 watts I can run for years at $15 a month electric so how is buying one of those saving anything? To get 1.8 th I'd have to buy 9 of those so $4500 vs $15 a month that's a no Brainer for me..
@@peterfitza7590 6, for 1140 more like it but I understand your logic.
wow so if you have an exahash you can get a coin in a day sweet lol.
This is just based on LUCK. Purely relying on luck. BTC mining will be a thing at least until the year 2140. You may or may not get a block, but reality is that this machine can die way before it gets a block. Can this machine survive 5 years non stop? I don't think so. So unless you think you will get a block in the next 5-10 years, there is no point on buying this except for just burning money on stupid things...
Cool idea, way over priced! Will not buy.
I bought a compac F with fan on amazon for $230. Plugged it into my gpu mining rig. It's running at 330ish GHs at 525MHZ. Solo bitcoin lottery baby!
Just make sure you aren't pulling too much from that usb port or you could fry it.
BTC FTW3 🚀
It will ROI wen Elon makes it to Mars!! 😅😅
IMO, this is just a money grab for the developer, I would never buy one.
you want to get money easy? yea, sell lucky mining machine
So a $450 lottery ticket
At least it’s actually Bitcoin! Lol
This unit is a nice display piece for disposable income. It's a fun factor to purchase it.😄
Wat the Flux?😳😳
Pool mine it please.
Actually, that is an EXCELLENT point about the Halving. Even if you did "hit the lottery", the payout would be so minimal relative that it'd be a non-event.
Gpu mining is dead.
Go for KDA mining
can you overclock it?😂
