    Rien à dire, j'ai fait du parachutisme pendant plusieurs années, et essayer le Base jump est un rêve (mais ma femme m'en empêche, elle a trop peur vu que nous avons 3 enfants), mais alors le wingsuit c'est l'étape ultime, et quand je vois la qualité et la maitrise des vols que tu fais Tomic, respect. Je ne pourrai jamais essayer mais me contenter de tes images est déjà une étape vers le rêve... merci :)

      No idea why people even do this. I thought about getting into it 15 years ago, and knew I'd die. And that was before I ever heard of guys like Alexander Polli or Uli Emanuelle.

      Thank you 🙏🏼.. I have just over 200 Wingsuit base and 580 BASE jumps.. I had about 360 BASE jumps before I put my Wingsuit into the base environment… but my skills come from training in the skydiving environment a lot.. I have about 1500 Wingsuit skydives with a strong focus on performance flying and Acro skills…

    man this video is crazy asf i have rarely seen someone go this deep into the rabbit hole, like some jumps where you 360 to lose altitude legit cannot becalculated so there is no way to know if u have overdone it and will crash fucking insane man

    • @tomic13
      @tomic13  9 місяців тому +2

      I have trained for those corkscrews and 360s hundreds of time in many ways.. so I know exactly where and when and how much altitude I have.. and how to manipulate it to adjust to the terrain I am flying towards… everything is calculated..

    Incroyable, je viens de découvrir ta Chaine, Des frissons. Tu pilote bien avec ta wing. Avec mon Aile Ritewing NanoDrak , j'ai le meme genre de vitesse et performance enveloppe de vol. forcement je vol en FPV ne suis pas a bord, je peut donc prendre plus de risque que toi. Ce serais Genial un chasing. je suis en Aveyron/Lozere a 30 min du viaduc de Millau. Petite question, la camera a 360 ne te gene pas en vol niveau aérodynamique ? sur mon aile ca fait trop de trainé. j'utilise soit de l'Insta 360 GO2 ou DJI O3

    Ya man! Top content and awesome technical skills. Prox to those trees and deep cracks best I've seen. May I ask about (baubles) ... Have u experienced these under tight conditions and whats the recovery?

    • @tomic13
      @tomic13  Рік тому +3

      Hey man.. appreciate the compliment… did u mean burbles.. like turbulent air?… these flight are all done with almost optimal morning conditions, when the air is still and the ground has not yet heated up enough to create thermic bumpy conditions. Knowing and understanding mountain weather is a must for this type of flying. There would be no recovery if a mistake is made.. once you commit to a line like this you are actively flying it until you are back over safe terrain. Hope this helps.

    • @coxgaspoweredtether
      @coxgaspoweredtether Рік тому +2

      @@tomic13 I have a question: can you not actively flare out of an line when you think it gets too risky/flat? Like the flare you would do before pull

    • @tomic13
      @tomic13  Місяць тому

      @@centrywt912 you can flare out, if you have enough excess speed.. but if your in an area that is too flat, then you have already used a lot of your speed and energy to fly in the flat zone. That means you wont have the excess energy/speed to convert into a flare.

    Is it possible to convert speed into height, if you need to jump over an unexpected obstacle - or is their a minimum sink rate independent of the speed?

    • @tomic13
      @tomic13  Рік тому +2

      Hey eigil, it is possible to covert speed to height.. but it is more a fact of changing body configuration in the suit to change the glide at which the pilot is flying at to get over an obstacle. Most flights are flown down steep mountains, and flights are usually at a quite steep trajectory.. so when an obstacle is ahead the pilot avoids the obstacle by increasing the glide to go over it.. in saying that… these days with the technology of the suits, it is very possible and sometimes used on flights.. to convert a lot of speed into a lot of lift, letting the pilot actually fly back up.. and gain altitude for a short period of time.. before continuing flight or deployment of his/her parachute. Hope this helps..

    • @Eigil_Skovgaard
      @Eigil_Skovgaard Рік тому

      @@tomic13 Than you, it helps an old glider pilot to know that this insane sink rate is improved with new technology, which will come handy in critical situations. I guess the best sink rate must be close to 1?

    • @tomic13
      @tomic13  Рік тому +1

      These days we can sustain glide ratios of around 4:1… depending on the speed, pilot skill and conditions..

    Is it exhausting to fly wing suits?

    • @tomic13
      @tomic13  Рік тому +3

      Hey mate, it can be if you’re on a long flight… but for the most part, it’s pretty easy. The Wingsuit is filled with air helping the wings to stay inflated and then it’s up to you to hold the correct body configuration for whatever flying input you need to make or hold..
