Ancient Methods bought me here after listening to a mix he did with this and Immured in Supreme Beliefs at the same time, amazing! Would love to know the keys notes your playing so i can try on my Korg Triton. Fantastic version you've done here.
@@fischek Thanks very much for the info, I will give this a try! Is the Nord being played through a DAW reverb? I do have a few effects pedals as I'm a hardware kinda guy! Thanks again. 👍
I didn't create it from scratch, rather bumped into it on my Nord and recognized that it's similar to what Autechre had used. I might've edited it a bit to come closer to the sound, but the secret sauce here is in the reverb (Valhalla Shimmer in my case). The sound is made up of 2 OSC set to sawtooth wave. I hope that helps - thanks for watching.
thanks, I think the same octave, but what brightens up the sound is opening of the filter - if you can find some Nord Editor - there used to be some, I could send you the sysex @@flyingsteaks
no problem at all, if manage to find the editor that I think I had somewhere I can send you a screenshot of the settings so you could try and replicate
@@fischek You did good at recreating the feeling, the piece makes feel, and then sharing that feeling with your viewers and listeners, via your fingers on the board. It has a lot of subtleties. @daveryland5735 It's Valhalla Shimmer, I am a hardware guy too, but this one is amazing...
Sounds like Blade Runner 2049 soundtrack.
yeah, it certainly has that subdued sci-fi vibe to it. also, they are ofc big fans of, and inspired by, Vangelis xD great cover btw!
can you give me some insight in how the patch was made? I'm really curious how to achieve this sound

You're right, it's not perfect. It's *better*
thank you 😎
I'm listening to it on repeat... but I forgot to like it.
thanks!
Not perfect?!?! Oh, come on! You're too modest. How would it sound if it was perfect, then?
thanks mate, means a lot :)
Missed the chirp.
well, it does say it's far from perfect in the description - thanks for your comment though
