@@Daniel-lu8uh He normally would have stayed dead, since all of his chakra burnt up, and tailed beast reincarnate via chakra, however, a small amount of kuramas chakra mixed into himawari, same thing happened to naruto hence the whiskers, so he reincarnated into that chakra inside of her. Probably couldn't do it in boruto due to y'know, momoshikis hating ass.

Its explained, that even if they figure it out, the shinjjutsu will make people like shikamaru forget, the purple haired girl and sarada dead NEVER forgot, they were in love with boruto and that somehow made them immune to the shinjutsu, shikimaru is still effected though, so he'll forget eventually again.
Boruto explained it himself, he outright tells Shikamaru this is not the first time he learned the truth and that he always forgets and will forget again.
Sumire and Sarada are just immune, they dont need to figgure it out or anything as they just know the truth.

Maybe it's just for me, but I feel like MK just resetting almost 90% of the story right now. It feels like all of TBV chapters is a begining of a story. Not really like the continuity for NXG.
Maybe the eida incident is something that MK come up with to reset everything and start new. Maybe originally Boruto will be like sasuke (travel around the world, but their place didn't switch) but it can't be happening. And also the prologue look like kawaki is the one invading konoha. Soo maybe the original story isn't like this one
