    Wow! Loved her breakdown of how him questioning her makes her feel inadequate but has nothing to do with him but actually her own insecurities of being inadequate and making bad decisions. 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾

    I “survived” some misfortunes. And I used to think that even though I was still feeling empty inside, I thought that the fact that I survived, that survival was enough. Thank you for sharing, and letting me know that there is more…more beyond “survival”.
    There is healing, happiness, and peace.
    I will continue my therapy.
    I will continue to grow. I will continue to believe, and I will continue trust in God’s grace and mercy. Thank you again for sharing.

    Very good. I feel this is a "We Made It" moment. The past 3 years have been instrumental in the crossover from religion to faith. Many saw it as a great falling away but I see it as a great return. Getting back to the source with actual tools that reap real life harvest. So grateful for the Roberts and Charlemagne for this Mental Wealth segment.

    I'm sooo proud of you, both. Through this kind of ministry, the Church has begun to understand and fulfill this WORD: Matthew 25:31-40
    For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to ... When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?
    The WORD has been my refuge in the creation of mental wealth.... NOTHING LIKE THE WORD...see Psalm 43.

    “ If you have to bypass church to get to God…” … THIS!!! As I’ve gotten farther away from the church and identifying with a specific religion, my faith has grown and I’ve gotten closer to God. These types of messages and this delivery is NEEDED. Much respect to them for the honesty and authenticity. Thank you for promoting faith AND therapy. I whole heartedly believe that God gives us the tools and places tools around us to help us in times of need, and it’s upon us to use them. One of those tools is therapy. This message has been missing in the black church further causing more trauma. To hear this conversation is amazing! ❤

    • @Daya1828
      @Daya1828 2 роки тому +2

      Members of these churches need to take accountability for HOW y’all contribute to the trauma then leave to get these ‘growth spurts’, only to Go back and bash it.
      Let’s just say you outgrew the church you went to that caused your trauma.
      You found the real love u were missing the mark in getting for yourself.
      No blame or shame. God is faithful

    • @Daya1828
      @Daya1828 2 роки тому +2

      The black church needs all these ppl who have grown so much in love to go back and give back what you’ve found

    • @arayenjay8112
      @arayenjay8112 2 роки тому +5

      This response doesn’t apply to my personal
      Situation, however lets promote HONESTY. Telling people to go back and give back to a place that caused them trauma is toxic in itself. If the church caused someone trauma, you don’t get to tell them to sugar coat and say they left because they “outgrew the church”!
      Instead, support people if they leave with the understanding there are some churches that are toxic AF for people. Encourage them to tell their truth, and if you don’t like it…. Mind your business. God is faithful and wants us to live in and share our truth. Many times people’s relationship with God is built and strengthened outside of the church.

      @@arayenjay8112 I totally agree with you! I was one who was in church ALL MY LIFE! From my childhood church ( in which I was in from Adolescent to 22 years old), then got married, moved out of state and joined another church (there for 14 years) then my pastor passed away and my husband and I went to another church (there for 6 years). I was very active all 3. The word of God was the most important thing to my husband and I. Unfortunately, I could not continue to "ignore" or "tolerate" ALL of the FOOLISHNESS that I heard and seen going on around me and all the churches I was involved in. I was dealing with my OWN ISSUES and I started to feel like church, correction "church folks" was ADDING to them so I left the church all together. I was out of church for 3 years and when I tell you I GOT CLOSER TO GOD because I was able to focus MORE on HIM! All the noise, politics, religious antics, and man made foolishness was shut out! I left church but never left GOD! Jesus was with me the whole time! Fresh revelations was coming to me everyday! One day I prayed to GOD and said "Lord, if YOU want me to become a member of a church again then YOU LITERALLY have to lead me there, but until you do, I have no desire to search!" Welp, GOD heard my prayer. I now belong to a christian church and the JOY that GOD has restored in me is amazing!!! I never thought I would feel this excited about going to church again. I'm learning more! I'm loving the fellowship and the word of GOD is the BEST THING EVER there! SO, Like Pastor Sarah said, "If you have to bypass church to get to GOD" then DO THAT!! because church "folks" are not all there for one thing and the distraction is real but whatever you do ACKNOWLEDGE GOD AT ALL TIMES AND I PROMISE YOU HE WILL DIRECT YOUR PATH!!!

    • @Daya1828
      @Daya1828 2 роки тому

      @@arayenjay8112 if it’s still traumatic for you then u haven’t found love. You’re still searching, so no, you wouldn’t go back because you couldn’t give back without it. That’s honest and biblical. Do not ever try to fill a place unless you have overflow from the cup filler- God.
      Church hurt needs to be processed. Bashing or blaming the church for your ongoing trauma you haven’t released to receive love is not getting anyone closer to healing. That’s honest.

    Praise God. For this discussion. So needed and powerful🎉🎉🎉🎉. I have to honestly say this has always been my struggle . I love God and God’s people and just being apart of the body. However, there were times when I was going through storm back to back and would be told lovingly to renew my mind. So, one day I went yo God and said GOD how do I renew my mind when my mind is here and there and I begin to name the places and it was then when GOD started becoming my personal counselor and gave me peace. So, I have learned from GOD even as I write this some things have to be worked through as well as prayed through not just prayed through only.❤

    Thank you Pastor Sarah.....the best is HERE for you.....I am so glad you experienced ALL of the bumps and bruises that you went through because it shows us all that God's word is true....The last will always become first/the head/the leader/the greater one.....
    Thank you for your national apology....I sat here crying wishing my friend who committed suicide because he was embarrassed and cast down by the church that he served and grew up in for being GAY. He shot his self in the head early Sunday morning. I cried for my friend Tim who died feeling like an outsider after hollering for understanding and for help from the church, he had AIDS and died of disappointment and died feeling dirty and like an outcast
    I accept your apology on their behalf

    Gratitude to Charlemagne the god, Mr and Mrs. Roberts and all of the activist who were involved in the Mental Wealth seminar. I have always appreciated Charlemagne for acknowledging the taboo topic of mental health, and raising awareness to the community on addressing oneself mentally and seeking help. Israel and Ishamelites are all we have, that connects and share ancestry with one another, so as we receive knowledge and revelations, we alt to share it with the family, to remain strong in this foreign land. 🧕🤴👳‍♂️🧎‍♂️🧎‍♀️

      Well all know Charlemagne isn’t sincere with people dealing with severe mental health. It’s evident in his commentary of public figures suffering from this debilitating disease. This is a disgrace

      I don't agree. Charlemagne came from one of the most racist states in the United States, where slaves were unloaded straight off the Atlantic and stripped off of there culture, beliefs, faith and themselves. He then found his way North where Israelites have a little more pride and freedom and he's always giving back to our community. From books or representing us positively in show biz, or seminars like this he is God sent. He is a god and he knows it, how remarkable it is to witness such a man of love. It make the faithless believe.
