I've been down that line years ago when I got the ferry to Douglas. It goes on a bit into the nuclear power station but obviously no passengers trains there!
Looks like there's still a run-round loop for platform 2 (Morecambe), presumably for the goods, but apart from that...what a mess. Does the Guard set the road for the North Curve from the ground frame? I'm guessing Morecambe terminators run into Platform 1, and nothing runs into 2 until the Heysham service is back. When you remember what it used to be like...
The run-round was kept for the weekly nuclear flasks from Sellafield to Heysham, but was last used many years ago, as the flasks are always top & tailed, bringing class 68's to Heysham. The driver operates the ground frame, with a token collected at Lancaster station.
After thirty-odd years in Lancaster,I have yet to do this trip! Thank you.

You can clearly spot the curve down to Green Ayre, for going to Morecambe on the electric route.
Shame they don't reopen that dead platform. :(
At 9:42, you can see the remains of the platform for Poulton Lane station
