Fun to see you both in the shop a couple of times during Madison's visit! (Next time you both should join us for Stitch Night on Wednesday nights!) Enjoyed catching up with your current projects. - Sheri
What a nice surprise to see you two again so soon. I love when you are together. Those mushrooms were super big. The tomatoes do really look delicious. The pillow is gorgeous, great job!!!
Thank you, Bonnie and Madison, for your fun and interesting videos. They always go so fast and you leave us wishing for so much more beautiful stitching! I am so excited you shared your discovery of Curtis B patterns, Bonnie, because his 12 Days of Christmas patterns are in my stash. I purchased them years ago and set them aside because I couldn’t come up with a plan for them. Now I can’t wait to start!
Y’all are the cutest! I think I’ve finally found my favorite floss tubers. I feel like most channels concentrate on samplers. I don’t do samplers although I think they’re beautiful. I can relate to what y’all stitch and love your chemistry. 💕
I have just found your floss tube and it is delightful to watch. I too do both cross stitching and quilting so it is nice to see both of these crafts in a floss tube. Glad that the two of you could be together for a visit. Look forward to seeing your next one.
So nice that you two got to film together! I love all the WIPs and totally agree to start EVERYTHING! I recently started The Gather Inn, so it was nice seeing Madison’s progress. That barn! 😱😍
Another great flosstube!!! 😊 I highlight my more difficult patterns also. I also use a magnetic line keeper which really helps alot too!! Hope y'all have a great week!!
Loved seeing your stitching progress and I'm jealous that you have an LNS so close by. I also organize my charts in sleeve protectors in 3-ring binders by season and designer within each season. A couple years ago I spent a few days creating a Google Drive Sheet with an inventory of all my cross stitch and quilting patterns (different tabs). I included the pattern name, designer, what season/holiday it falls under and a column for whether I've stitched the piece. I have it sorted by designer and the pattern names are alphabetized within each designer grouping. Having it accessible on Google Drive has been so helpful when I'm shopping online or the rare occasion I get to visit an LNS.
I just want to tell you two that you might be one of my favorite floss tubes! Last spring I’d did a 2 week road trip to visit lots of Cross-stitch shops (I suppose I am used to quilt shop hops!) and ended up driving 3400 miles! Anyway, during that trip I was surprised that I forgot which charts I had bought at the beginning of the trip. Justine at Welcome Stitchery mentioned the X Stitch plus app to keep your charts and flosses on your phone I have like 80 charts and it did not take me very long to load it up. I don’t really do my DMC on it but it is super helpful for fancy flaws too. I have found it to be amazing, a total game changer, and now I’d just enter whenever I buy some thing it lets you snap a picture in the app. You might really love it!
You two are so so adorable! I wish my Mom would live closer and we could have stitchy days more often than once a year :S Cannot wait to see the bristol sampler :))
Thelma writes: Hello lovely stitching duo, so good to know Madison comes home for a visit. Maybe Madison should have brought Gus too to visit Apolo. Was Gus left behind with your husband, bet he is missing you, Madison. Love all your WIPS, and Bonnie, I personally love your Midnight Watch cross stitch without the alphabets, I think it looks pretty without them, it will not look so crowded. However, you do what's best for you, though. Apolo is adorable as always and love your garden, Bonnie. Tutorial on making project bags would be so much in favour. I made a few of them, but always love watching other tutorials. BTW, re the vinyl frontage on your bag, how about cover your project with a piece of fabric so it does not stick to the vinyl. I do this with mine and project does not cling to the vinyl, as vinyl and sunlight tend to create moist, especially when it is left in the car, when temperature is hot. Hope that helps. Thank you for sharing all your lovely projects. Bless you both and journey mercies upon Madison returning to Baltimore.
Hello Ms Thelma! Gus had to stay home with my husband, I would love to bring him sometime to play with Apollo, they would be terrors together. The garden does look so pretty all green and with all the vegetables growing. Great thoughts on the vinyl bags. Happy stitching!
This is only the 3rd floss tube I’ve watched of yours but I’m hooked! You’re both so adorable and I love the way you interact with each other. I’m actually envious of your mother/daughter relationship and the fact that you both love stitching and making/shopping together. My daughter doesn’t share any of my crafty interests. :( Thanks for sharing and inspiring me with your wips, starts and finishes. Can’t wait for your next floss tube!!!
Makes us happy that you are inspired! And thanks for letting us share with you. Hopefully you have some friends to share crafting with, we both need the creative outlet.
You all are so fun, Glad I found you. Similar interests and yes I had the same vinyl project bag problem too here in hot FL! I just started Lilas's Studio Halloween Quaker on 28 count, very fun stitch that will take me 50 years😂. I love that you both share the cross stitch passion. I so want to do Jack's Urn the colors you showed previously were beautiful! Happy Stitching and Happy Fall 🎃🤗
You two are so fun to watch! 🎉 I wanted to say you may be able to buy the wildflowers of America patterns your missing from Cross Stitch Stash. They had several. 😊
I always stop to watch you! I’ve been having an issue keeping me up at night sometimes and I was the 19th viewer of this episode. Made me feel special. Keep not finishing things and inspiring us!
Love all the fun things you guys are working on. I love the snowman pillow with the wool. I think it will be really cute. I had recently picked up the enchanted quaker pattern also to do but I had a piece of fiber on the whim, that is Heather, and it’s a fun purple shade. I liked the Halloween theme with the purple. I am excited to start it. Keep up the fun videos. 🎃
Just found your fall wip parade. I enjoy your interaction and that you stitch some of same projects. I also like that you use aida, that is so unusual on floss tube. I'm an 18 ct aida stitcher, and I feel I'm in the minority. Look forward to next episode.
Another great video, Ladies! I love seeing all of your WIPS. I’m going to need to go in search of that Gilmore Girls chart. I’m a huge fan. Take care! Safe travels Madison! Bonnie, I know how hard it is to say, “See you later. “ when your child leaves. I live in PA and our son and his wife and little girl live in CA. It’s so difficult when they leave. Take care ladies! Happy Stitching!
You guys are such a delight!! Your enthusiasm is infectious!! Love seeing all your projects! I am so glad you both share your hobbies. Can’t wait for the project bag tutorial. Love your bags!!! Your garden veggies were drool-worthy!! Be safe on your way home, Madison. Hugs for Apollo and Gus! 🐕🦺🐾🦴Happy stitching!!❤
Ok Madison I need your conversion for the house on the witch nest door by primrose cottage. I don’t want to do a White House either! Love y’all fosstube
Right! We stitch enough white in the winter months! Ok, I am just listing the numbers in order of the colors on the chart by column.. 310, 732, 3865, 732, 310, 28 (for the house) and 29 for some other things, 3031, 3829, 3920 all dmc called for Persimmon because I had it. Let me know if you need more help.
Madison can you make a shirt that says start all the things and finish nothing? I love that! My mom came in from another room and kind of chanted that phrase after you said it! I love watching you guys.
You guys are so fun to watch! Your garden was amazing Bonnie, such beautiful veggies! I miss the days of my garden since we downsized. What a fun week for you both, I’m sure it went too fast. I remember Curtis from the late 80’s early 90’s when he came to our cross stitch guild in Ohio. I had a couple of his patterns autographed. I don’t know what he’s doing now. I love Queen Anne’s Lace even though I think it’s a weed. Used to grow wild on our property and I would cut it for inside along with other flowers. Have a safe trip home, Madison! Happy stitching 🧵
His patterns are fun even tho they are older. And hand drawn! Oh I am pretty sure it is a weed too :) Time always goes way to fast when we are together.
How fun that you got to visit your mom. I have two grown daughters, one stitches, so it's fun to chat about stitching. Love all your stitching. I can't wait to learn how to make project bags, and I'll be looking forward to your tutorial.
Great video! Love all your projects! Bonnie, I just came across Curtis Boehringer patterns in my moms stash, I have the monthly Santa’s, monthly snowman and he had a barefoot angles of the month. If I come across the ones you are looking for, I will let you know and you can have them.
I'm excited to see how you do your project bags. Your WIP's are beautiful. So inspiring for Fall. I love that you share the tips you get. I always love hearing something new.
I love watching you two! In fact, a few weeks ago, I decided to go back and watch your channel from ep. 1. That was so fun and now I’m caught up. I enjoy the fact that you both just truly love stitching. I hope you had a wonderful visit, how blessed you are to have each other and your shared love of X St! Happy Stitching! Kim from Roseville, CA.
Looking forward to your project bag tutorial. Maybe you could do one on how you dye fabric, especially the gray one with the black streaks in it - how did you do that? Thanks!
I love your bags and I’d love to see how you make them. I’ve made some but I always learn tips and tricks from someone else. So can’t wait to see the tutorial. It’s so nice that you and your daughter stitch together. I have 3 girls and one of them are interested. I do a big variety of crafts. Thank you both for sharing
Hi Bonnie and Madison, Really enjoy all of your vlogs. Bonnie, do you prewash your quilt fabrics prior to sewing them? Its so great to have stitch videos and watch stitchers who stitch on aida like I do. Even though I love the look of linen, I just cannot see it, even with glasses and magnification. I felt like I was left out of the cross stitch community till I started watching your videas and seeing that the charts I loved looked just as great on aida as they did on linen.
I do not pre-wash my quilting fabrics. We are so happy we can inspire you and to let you know we are out here too stitching on aida! Aida is too frustrating for us both, makes it not enjoyable. Linen looks beautiful and I love the look, but aida is beautiful too :)
That gray fabric is soon cool!! How did you do that? Also wondering why you use painters tape on your fabric edges? I use an overcast stitch on my sewing machine, too cheap to buy the tape! Can't wait to see your project bag tutorial.
It is easy to dye using either tea, coffee or rit dye. Hopefully we will do a dye tutorial soon. We use painters tape it is easy and cheap and quick. I only have a straight stitch machine set up so painters tape is quick. It sure is ugly tho :)
Here is the link! I will also add it to the description box. It’s a fun pattern for Gilmore Girls fans! www.theblackneedlesociety.com/collections/the-black-needle-vault/products/autumn-in-stars-hollow-pattern-vault?_pos=2&_fid=fd2267795&_ss=c
My Mom stitched a quilt by Curtis many years ago, Snowman of the Month. He has had so many wonderful patterns over the years. Start all the things you say, I'm all in for that. Happy Stitching!
I have started too! If you message me on Etsy about a specific design I can get it listed for you! They just come in very limited colors but most designs will work!
Loved your 🐕 what breed or mix is he ? BTW your comment regarding Curtis Boehringer freebies isn’t correct, It’s a shame soooooo many Etsy, eBay & other sellers are making a profit off his beautiful patterns, shameful in my opinion. they were freebies in the late 80s & 90s My xstitch store in the 90s gave these out, & had a small trunk show if his other designs. He was a prolific NEEDLEPOINT DESIGNER. There use to be a blog post But family took it down. I’ve been stitching since 74 So I have a lot of info :-) You 2 are fun together.. Just only found you a month ago.. Blessings
Thank you so much for watching and for the info. You have seen so many changes I am sure! I meant that just the one I got was free, they sent it to me with an order. It is so terrible when people make such a profit on old charts. We really do have tons of fun together :)
Your snowmen in wool is a spectacular piece of stitching 🧵
Thank you so much for your kind words!
Fun to see you both in the shop a couple of times during Madison's visit! (Next time you both should join us for Stitch Night on Wednesday nights!) Enjoyed catching up with your current projects. - Sheri

It is so fun to use crazy fabrics that you do not know what to do with!
Curtis Boehringer has so many awesome designs. Santas angels ect
I am finding that out.
Thank you for the video!! So fun. You both are so inspiring. Glad you have had a nice visit!!
Our visit was wonderful! Never enough time. We love sharing!

Not sure about storing cross stitch on paper towel tubes. The acid in the cardboard may not be good for the stitching.
Oh, that is a good thougth, you might have to wrap batting around the tube first.
