I've had this exact same set for years and years, it's a good way to be able to play when you have limited space and volume concerns. It's not much compared to what's out there today, but it has held up very well for me who can't afford to upgrade. It's been going for over a decade now with no signs of slowing down. The thing I did was make both cymbals ride on the inside and crash on the edges so I can use them as two different cymbals each. It works very well for me. I've found maybe for or five sets that I like the sound enough to use regularly, the rest are less used, some are just novelty sounds.
I got a barely used TD-9 kit for $350 CAD, hooked it up to EZdrummer 3, now it's a beast. Even with its limitations it's great as a MIDI kit. Those Roland cymbals are still better than anything else in that sort of price range -- they don't feel like they're gonna snap immediately (looking at you Alesis)
When you know what you're doing u can make a digital kit sound good like you obviously do bro. It's a plus to control separate volumes on each component and that alone is worth the price. Also Roland is a ROLAND u cant go wrong
