Can't wait for chapter 7 to release on the English server. Can't wait for that new Idia card! I'm too hooked on TW to where whenever I watch a Disney movie I see a lot of Easter eggs and squeal!!! I watch Alice in wonderland a couple months back. If you look back to where The Queen of hearts was getting onto the cards she mentions Ace, Duece and Trey. 😳
@@dess872 I noticed too. If you notice closely, some of the Heartslabyul boys' favorite/least favorite foods are possible Easter eggs. For example, Ace hates oysters which could be a reference to the little oysters in the movie.
For me Vil being turned old can also be a tribute to how the evil queen herself turned to an old woman to poison snow white, Idk, sort of can work this way too right?
@@AnnaDeadman Yeah, that was what I was thinking too. Both have white hair and their noses become longer and a bit more crooked than their normal look.
Also in one scene (can’t remember the chapter), Idia like directly quotes Hades. He says something along the lines of “Sorry, there must’ve been a chunk of brimstone stuck in my ear”
I don't know if these count, but with Hercules' whole emphasis on becoming a "hero" (I forget if Hades ever commented on that), Overblot Idia has angrily asked Vil if he thinks he's a hero for standing against him. I think this would also connect well with Vil falling to save Idia like Hercules did for Megara. There's also the "zero to hero", with emphasis on "zero". When Vil tried to encourage Idia and Ortho about turning a 0% chance to at least a 0.001%, that became Ortho's obsession for a while. Though that may not be a Hades thing. However, on the other hand, in Kingdom Hearts 2, Hades did make a point about his underworld turning "heroes to zeroes" which could coincide with Idia's own despair at having to inherit STYX and not being able to free himself from it. On another note, even though Pain and Panic are referenced here and there, I sometimes wish that Ignihyde had student characters who are based on them. I think their interactions with Idia would be priceless, though I have other ideas to how they could be expressed.
Really like the video, here are some that might be or might not be addition to the reference; 1) I see a lot of people compare when Idia snap at the subjects he says "do you forget something? Where are you right now? And thus what does that make me? I am the boss!" To hades saying to meg "aren't we forgetting a teensy-weensy but ever so crucial little, tiny detail? I own you!". 2) When Idia make the subjects sign a non disclosure agreement, they took their time to think just like herc with hades term, which both Idia and Hades urges them to answer right away. 3) There is a scene where hades free the titans he calls them "Brothers!!" (even if it just to show that he is on their side) but when in twst they're actually brothers. 4) This is just pointing out obvious, zeus thunder = thunder spear, OB Idia 3-hit attack = that scene where hades combust when he knew pain and panic let herc live, the subjects are being held like meg which both are offer to do something for their freedom, the subjects also get the same treatment as herc where their power has been taken from them and lastly ortho being view as wonder boy There might be more reference from the tv shows to put a character to island of woe but as now I have not seen it yet. And yes there can be ref from other media that came from the film for example [Spoiler to scalding sands' Al'ab Nariya event] Jamil little sister Najma is a twisted version of Nasira, Jafar twin sister from the sequel. Oh also btw love the thumbnails
I really love these ideas! Plus the order of the titans phantoms are the same order they are shown in the movie. I find it weird though how they call Zeus, Jupiter, cuz Jupiter is Roman, but Ignihyde is based off of the Greek gods.
@@AnnaDeadman I think there was a gag in one of the episodes from the show where the greek gods gets their roman names but hades really felt distasteful to be called pluto, that may or may not have any relevancy towards your comment but that scene cracked me up for a cheap animated show.
Oh also I just notice something, while this might sound too reaching... the one part of interaction between past Idia and Ortho are kinda like pain and panic's ordeal, its kinda complex tho thats why it'll look like I'm reaching too much; Its the one where Idia said "I can't because I will have to inheret the organization when I grows up" and Ortho's suggest "what if we go *before* we grows up" which can have the same meaning to him emphasizing "...*WHEN* you grows up" but that line does not fit Ortho's innocent chara. If they go that route it will sound like how Panic says "hades will be mad if he finds out" and Pain emphasize "...*IF* he finds out".
Things I want to add about the Easter eggs cause I thought it would be fun to share some things I know about disney. Vil turning old could be a reference on how the evil queen became older at the end of her tale, and how that element wasn't use in chapter 5, but 6 to connect to the underworld aging effects. This might be a stretch, but I thought I should share it. We find out that Ortho/Idia has a mom, father and grandmother. Now we know Idia is a fanboy of Hades, but his family could connect as this from Greek mythology, Father=Hades, Mother=Persephone, and grandmother=Demeter. Why them you might be asking. Well in 1934 Disney made a short from the "Silly Symphony" and that short was called, "The Goddess of Spring" which covers Persephone meeting Hades. And his family tree might connect to that short as well. Update: Tots remember now about Riddle's white hair and how that could connect to the white queen in the sequel movies by Tim Burton. I could be wrong, but Twist dose make another ref to life action movies. In Lilia's band SSR card the side of his sleeve of his shirt reference to Maleficent with the movie title, "mistress of the evil", which is a sequel to the first life action movie.
I don't think that has to do with the live action film. I'm more inclined to believe it's a reference to the White Queen from the book "Alice through the Looking Glass" Twisted Wonderland if full of references to the original stories the Disney movies are based on.
All of Big Hero 6 for some reason lmAo Seriously though - watch the movie again. Yana seems to have pulled alot from it - Genius brother outlives his brother, bonds with robot while dealing with grief, even Idia's overblot outfit looks like Baymax's armour. The most blatant is Ortho's flash drive. The whole ending sequence is Big hero 6 vibes.
@@baotrannguyenngoc9964 y...yes You'll find that alot of the characters are based on multiple inspirations. The most blatant being Lilia - raised Silver, three fairies, pink and blue shoes - but he's also Maleficent's minion.
That flaming thumbs up is by far the funniest easter egg! So glad they included that! I mean Idia is inspired by Hades after all, Hades but a gamer and way cooler ^^ Idia is for that same reason my favourite character 2nd goes to Lilia (who can't love that guy) 3rd goes to Jack But overall, Twisted Wonderland made the villian inspired characters very very very loveable
in the flashback where he's playing video games with ortho you can see pain and panic plushes in the foreground in the left corner also ive been wondering lately if idia's fondness for small and fluffy animals has anything to do with that one part where megara calls pain and panic "a couple of rodents looking for a theme park"
The Overblot Phantoms fought throughout the trek down on both parts of the three towers in Book 6 are also references to other Disney Characters there are seven but I could only pin down six. Pain, Panic and I believe Nessus are some of them then we have one in a dress probably Madam Mim a slug thing with a shield possible referencing one of Maleficent's minions one wearing a golden crown with a bar of gold and a golden chalice most likely meant to be Prince John I just can't figure out what the gloved one is referencing my first thought was Governor John Ratcliffe but he he doesn't wear gloves then maybe the Huntsman but he's already referenced in Rook.
can i talk about how blue fire is hotter than red fire but i thought when you get mad you become stronger/hotter, so it kinda didn't make sense to me when his normal form (blue fire) is probably weakerr??? than his red fire
not really related but kinda, i never understood why hades and idia and whatever turn red when they're mad, red is less hot than blue so it just doesn't make sense to me i don't know maybe i'm stupid
I feel you 😩. I have two accounts for twst, but my second one doesn't have good stats. It took my about 40 tries to get through the titans (except for the Riddle and Azul team since my water guys have the best stats). The characters need to be at least level 45 and it helps if you can use any duo magics.
(1:13) maybe I should make that noise every time I get an SSR.

Yes that can work since old Vil and old Evil Queen has similar features (like long white hair and same nose).
@@AnnaDeadman Yeah, that was what I was thinking too. Both have white hair and their noses become longer and a bit more crooked than their normal look.
Yup definitely
Vil is based on the Evil Queen.
The whole Hercules rescues meg scene might be why they did vil turning old in chapter 6 and not chapter 5.
Idia going "boom ba-da boom boom boom" is just way too cute 😁

To be honest that would be nice if there was a twst version of Megura as Idia's vice dorm leader since Megura was Hades' servant.
Is Megara.
