Thank you - and thank God, who spoke directly through you - for exposing the incessant “neck dive” complaint for the easily solved non-issue it always has been.
THANK YOU! It’s refreshing to see someone not dogging on the SG in a review. I never understood the hate, especially for the look. It looks like it was carved straight from the Devil’s workshop, and what’s more ROCK than that? Always loved the symmetric design. I’m in the exact same boat as you brother, Angus Young was my first guitar hero who made me want to rock. I too find the SG very comfortable to play.
Great video bro, I'm glad I found your channel. I have a 2019 LP standard with the compound gradient neck. It is by far the most comfortable, fast, easy to play, and I literally can sit and play for hours with her.
Great review! Good that you dont have the guitar hanging to your croch. I am a strat guy, but this guitar really has my curiosity going. For me, its all about the neck and comfort. I seems this guitar has both...including, being light weight. i am 60 and I hate skinny necks. Tone is in the hands and your signal chain. Thanks for your honest opinion.
Nice video, have you ever tried the Gibson SG '61 Re-issue? I have one and I love it. The pickups on it are Alnico 5. The ones you have I believe are Alnico 2. I believe Alnico 2 are a little less output.
@@SloppyJoes_ShredShack Nice. I won't blow up your spot, lol. You guys are great dude, all the music from my high school days. Was out of town for the anniversary show but I'll be there in November for sure.

Hey guys if you're looking to hear ONLY guitar tones, click the link above!
I have an Epiphone SG 1961 reissue. It has the 490 Gibson USA pickups. I love it and it only cost me 700. It is a pretty precise recreation
Two other great reasons to buy an SG: lightweight, and way more affordable than a Les Paul.
Got that right. The SG feels way more natural for me, personally
A normal width leather strap no dive. Classic wiring and SD 59’s…..perfection.
I used to own a 1967 SG! Always loved the SG’s!

Nice dude! That's awesome. I have a Les Paul Classic that I am absolutely in love with too

Yes there is a solution. A thick strap. No neck dive. And plays like thunder. I Love my Gibson SG Standard.

I have not, but I've always wanted to try it
Awesome video! What guitar strap do you use for this guitar?

Cheap and works wonderfully 😎
Switch the Grovers out for vintage Kluson style tuners and it'll help take care of a lot of that neck dive.
There really isn't any if you use the right strap
That headstock looks like a headstock 😂. Thanks for the video! Just bought one!
Ayyyyeeee!!!!! I hope you like it man!
Are you the singer/guitarist in that awesome emo/90s cover band? Lol, you look just like him. Stumbled on this video looking up something on strats.
LOL YUP THAT'S ME 🤣
