If you turn the rake to 40 degrees you will close the tine spacing to your travel and it will force the large stuff into wind rows you will find easier to pick up or move later.

I have been a subscriber for a while and have learned a lot from you videos. In 2016, I acquired land near short mountain WV. I have 117 acres-13 of which are fields. Since, 2016 I have built a timber frame home and a 1600 square foot garage with an attached 800 square foot woodworking shop and a 400 square foot three sided shed. You channel has been a great help to a city boy who is building his retirement home in the country. Keep up the good work. Bill

Hello Morgans!! I am currently woking overseas in Iraq, but I am scheduled for vacation here in a couple of weeks. I have about 10 acres in the mountains of Northern California, in the foothills of the Sierra Nevadas. I was looking for some tractor videos on LS, Kubota, Deere, and Branson (these are what are readily available in my area) before I get home and purchase one, when I stumbled across Outdoors with the Morgans. Now I find myself checking in on you guys daily! I enjoy your channel, you are super helpful and bring a refreshing change to the youtube/media world. Thank you for that! I come from a logging family, and now I find watching you mess around with wood, brings a strange sort of nostalgia back to my busy life while I am away, so thank you for that as well! keep it up and know, what you do , has value!!

I'm 2 yrs behind in the story, but catching-up quickly. I'm 69 yrs old from Concord, CA, living a suburban life just using hand tools. A retired pharmacist, haven't had to use a tractor or machinery. But. I did get a battery-powered saw and trimmer for my little property. I enjoy your family's storylines. Found your channel after watching Arms Family Homestead and Hometown Acres, both family-centered vlogs. Keep up the good advice. God bless.

Hi my wife , son and I are from CT we have family in Bradford County Pennsylvania. They had a very large natural gas strike there a few years back love to see people that were just getting by get there just do and most are doing very well now it’s kind of funny you drive through Bradford county now you see the old farm houses all dilapidated but brand new tractors trucks for wheelers and such. I’ve been visiting my family there all my life .I absolutely love Pennsylvania and all the scenery and wildlife. I am a new subscriber looks like you have one heck of a set up there in PA very nice to see good people doing great things. Thanks for the videos

I use this for new pastures and seeding. Turn the rake around and it will smooth out soil so well and the down pressure will set the seed into the soil. Great tool.

From upstate NY. I bought 13 acres a few years ago that was logged off with a mess left behind. I finally got an old John Deere tractor in late October but have not yet been able to get anything done at the property due to a very wet fall and winter up here. Thanks for the info on tree cutting and some ideas on implements I need to look at. Tractor came with a bucket and back blade and I just bought a flail mower that I need to get set up.

First Time Commenter here! My name is Justin, I am 18, soon to be 19, and I really enjoy the outdoors. I found you just within the past week or so from Josh, The Stoney Ridge Farmer! On a live stream, he mentioned your "How Old is This Old Oak?" video and it seemed very cool! I watched the video (amazing and educational!) and you said how your north of Pittsburgh and mentioned that the tree fell from the ice storm. My jaw dropped! I live in Robinson Township, between Pittsburgh and the Airport! My "Homestead" is actually in Volant, Pa. (southwest of Grove City, northeast of New Castle) I should say "Future Homestead" because it's my grandparent's old and overgrown farm. (about 50 acres) We are starting to revive the old place, quite the weekend job. We are not new to the game, but we are starting with our bare hands! That's why I love watching all the homestead/farm channels; The hard work (and lots of it), dedication, risk, and more is something I admire. I don't know how I didn't find you sooner, but it is nice to see someone in the Pittsburgh area with a really nice Channel and following. I look forward to many more videos!

Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Still some ice left here in the shaded areas, and starting to stay above freezing at night. I started watching for the Kubota and chainsaw stuff, and I am in the process of building the firewood hauler you did, back a couple years ago, that fits on the back of the tractor (episodes 19 & 20). I have only about 4 acres, but I have had it quoted out and the pricing is nuts! Some stuff, 100ft trees near the house, yeah, I'll pay someone, but fallen trees, dead standing, brush, slash, can all be done the way Mike gets it done. Plus, it gets you outside and keeps one active.

I've got the rk/kk 72" landscape rake, probably the same one you have behind your RK tractor. I removed every other tooth and it made that rake work 10x better in those conditions. When all of the teeth were on it, it acted like a box blade and drug up too much dirt. Therefore where I raised my rake I had a big pile of debris and most of it was dirt.

Beautiful ND here, love watching the work out in the woods. I don't have the acres you do but still live using my tractor when I can.

I shop at the Rural King in Butler PA. I have a Cub Cadet (Kioti) which is about the same size as your RK37 (YTM). Korean tractors are great as long as you stay away from those with computer controls.

Another great video Mike. It has been really nice here in PA. I cut 2 maple trees down for my elderly uncle last Sunday about 15-20' from his house. Made some nice firewood.

Mike, you had better start negotiating with RK for an extension on your contract. Too many nice implements to give any back. Melissa just found a new toy she likes to drive. Lol. Look forward to your next video.

That yard looks so much better and I thought you might get 2 logs in the grapple but backwards uphill I guess not. Great work once again and hey just leave some wet socks under the drivers seat, you'll get your pick up back.

Late comment here. A Landscape (York) Rake is a wonderful tool for clearing. Gauge Wheels are a nice addition to a rake, helping hold a constant depth, or just barely skimming the surface. Mike is doing an excellent job without gauge wheels, making it look easy, but depending on your soil condition, ground levelness, and 3 point valve control you can easily "dig in" and create ruts in looser soil conditions. Great comment by Mike Watts regarding making windrows of debris. Another method is rake to a point, lift rake to leave debris behind, and continue doing this at the same point for each row, and you'll have a line of debris that can later be pushed into a pile and scooped up.
