From David A.Wood:After listening to the deservedly renowned writer/celebrated New York City personality Fran Lebowitz, I have gratefully found out that I really love me some Fran Lebowitz! After having heard her at length for the first time on this very early Monday morning (April 22, 2024) which is amazingly enough given all the time that I have known of her existence, can enjoyably listen to hear her all the freaking, livelong day. Nuff Said and Peace Out from Kettering, Ohio.☮️🇺🇲😃👍

@@creativeblunder I said please 3 times. And asked so nicely. There are other people in the comments complaining about the poor sound as well. Give me a break.

"Nostalgia is almost always false." So true. Although I would add that more often it's 50-50; part truth, part falsity.

Fran does not "gab.". Fran speaks ideas and observations the majority never conceive of thinking, ever.

Yep - so true about lawyers and doctors being professionals and NOT ALLOWED to run advertising! I remember that so well. And now??? YUCK! I have a complete distrust of advertising lawyers and hawking doctors.

Are differences in status in media today the 'economic divide' of the 70's? I know my question will be ignored, but I just have to wonder. We and the host are unknown, compared to Fran, but Lebowitz, in a sense, relives the way we used to ignore differences in income. In the 70's, we never talked about who has more money. We just found our tribe and got on with life.

Nostalgia...I think nostalgia makes good writers.😁

We have too much of it. And we CAN'T really live in nostalgia. Times move along - or we're really in a LOT of trouble. Times are a'changing - THANK GOODNESS. But with Trump we're just going backwards - THAT is hurting the country immeasurably.

Yes, this is what annoys me about Fran Lebowitz. She's an entertaining character but the snobbery is hard to take.
