Thanks for this one. You are definitely doing something different with these arsenal videos. Good stuff. I have a mix of expensive and cheaper balls in my bag, basically depending on how much I plan on using them.
Pretty good picks overall. But special mention to the fireball. Really good budget ball on the weaker end. Pretty angular for me. And GB series is incredible for the price
Can still get certain higher end balls for that. They usually only stay top price for the initial hype of the ball and then the websites lower the price to move product. Can get the roto grip gem for $169, DNA coil for about the same price. I have learned to wait on a ball release if I’m interested in it, as in a couple months you’ll see them on flash sales online for $20 off or sometimes even more.
Here's my cheap arsenal. These are all new prices S/Smooth: C300 Atlas Solid. I paid $103 but you can find it at $93 sometimes S/Sharp: Ebonite Emerge Pearl $93 M/Smooth: DV8 Chill Solid $93 I know it's a strong benchmark but I'm low rev M/Sharp: C300 Messenger Pearl B/Y $110 W/Smooth: none W/Sharp Track Tundra Fire $75 Spare: Cotton Candy T-Zone for $60 I didn't mean to become a B7 guy, but the storm equivalents were a lot more money. I guess my point is to buy last generations B7 balls for half price lol
It's amazing how pissy people get (I believe staffers, but I can't confirm this) when I point out with some current balls that I think do not fall in like with the market for what they are... people get downright offended, as if it's a personal affront. I have reasons. For instance, a ball like Eternity Pi...I throw 14 lb. It's specs go from big ball to a .044 diff and .011 int diff at 14 lb. I merely point out that there are options in other brands where the price point is more mid-level, which is where the ball falls for me
The staffers are saying the Lightening Blackout is "the perfect ball" for a ball right before your hustles...which is exactly what I need, BUT I refused to buy it at that price, ha.
If it's a brand in the low budget category, Hammer's Black Widow series seems to be a great middle ground comparing to something like Storm or Motiv. Like, seriously, you could have a BW 3.0, Ghost Pearl, and a 2.0 Hybrid to round out the top while going with that there Arctic Vibe, Nu Blue, and a BW Viz-a-ball for a whole 6 ball arsenal, and it would be completely relevant. That being said, I also really like the Storm line, but a lot of their high end pieces are deffo expensive. I've been eyeing that Storm Absolute Power for awhile now, but I just can't put down $200 for it lol. On the other side, Hammer's new Hammer Effect paired with an Envy Tour sounds like an awesome set, and so does something like EJ Tackett's Venom arsenal... which is also expensive. T_T
Even high quality non-custom leg pads for goaltending in hockey do not compare in price to a non-competitive Formula One car. See how pointless it is to compare apples to oranges?
@runnikee6986 I appreciate the hyperbole. I also want to be clear here and say that I forgot it's clearance time for last year's goaltending equipment and the new stuff isn't out yet, so prices are roughly in the same ballpark: Expensive arsenal from the video: $1160 undrilled. Probably around $1520 +/- $100 drilled. Non-custom good leg pads: $1400 +/-$50 on sale. In the range of $1700 +/-200 normally. Yeah, it's an apples-to-oranges comparison in that I'm comparing a ball arsenal from one sport to two pieces of protective gear in another, but we're looking at two types of fruits that have roughly the same price and availability. For fun, I looked up how much a non-competitive F1 car costs: $7,600,000. Given they only make like fifteen of them a year and there's a difficult to get onto waiting list, tossing the F1 car into the comparison is like comparing apples to oranges to a locked bank vault. Also, my comment was basically saying "This is expensive but it could be much worse." Equipment prices in bowling aren't as good as they used to be, but they're downright reasonable compared to a lot of sports.
@@yeehawmckickass There are 20 cars on the F1 grid, each team on the grid has multiple cars, so there are a lot more than 15. If you want a comparison that is not as to the moon, use karting instead of F1. Not nearly as expensive as F1, but also starts for kids well under ten years of age and costs parents incalculable hours and tens of thousands of dollars a year. I was also saying “Yes, it’s expensive, but could be much worse.”
I just thru money right out the window . First brand new ball I’ve owned in a long time every one raved about pre ordered it waited month finally shows up and get it July 1, 2024 . For whopping price of 270.00 ball , tax drilling and grips pure garbage. Brand new ExJ limited Venom junk out of the box not much movement for me surfaced it up 3000 then down to 1000 nothing piece of garbage. 🗑️ unless to throw like Tacket 500 rev which I’m not even close to. I have three other people that bought this ball all three said it’s junk. I just sold mine for 175.00 my hammer and other MOTIV balls move the way I throw them and do just what their supposed to do on the lane my evoke raptor fury black venom and venom shock move better than this ball hell my rotor grip hustle and honey badger claw go better so expensive yes 🙌 I only usually but used ball S/D decent shape vs a brand new ball like u just did lost 100.00 dollars on it but good bye good riddens looking into the new harsh reality pearl maybe we’ll see great video keep em coming

Thank you for creating this video. I appreciate it.

I bought a fireball a couple of months back. 100 bucks on eBay. It's a surprisingly good ball for being a cheaper ball.
B7 made in Mexico. Storm and Motive made in USA could account for price differences.
I remember when a high end ball was 175 a couple years ago it’s crazy how expensive they got

@@mikeday6908 you’re not wrong. Guess it depends on the ball.

I cost me like 70 a ball to get drilled with thumb plugs and inserts, this past weekend. But it is CA...lol
I pay $70 for an interchangeable thumb and grips in the midwest
I used to pay 80 for inserts and vise it outer in phoenix but now I pay 33 for the exact same through Buddies pro shop website.

I've always loved Storm, but they are starting to turn me off. Yes, their balls are great, but they are so expensive anymore
Same here! Also every staffer says every ball is great.
@brackend1936 fr my high school coaches are both sponsored one hammer one storm, but they don't let that affect what balls they recommend

high budget med sharp, I'd have Envy Tour Pearl at $195
agreed
well in this case im going with the low ends balls hey they have a x ponent on sale also is that a good deal ? thank you for putting this out
I also just picked up the DV8 chill for under 100.00…ridiculous!!!!
Thank you
In everyone’s opinion, Who has the best online ball prices ? Thanks
I've seen guys spend more on a week of golf than the cost of my entire arsenal
