Im three month's from having both of my credit cards paid off. I still have student loans and a car note, but im sooo proud of myself for this small victory 🎉🎉 . Comparison is the theif of joy. Ive got my blinders on.
Congratulations it's a good feeling paying off debt!!!! Your on your way to FIRE!!!!! Mr.MoneyMustache read his blog for more motivation!!! Love Our Rich Journey!!!!
I took Amont and Christina’s advice on F.I and now here I am living in our new house we just got built in an amazing foothills surrounded by tall pines and bamboo with our two young children running around happy!
This was very encouraging- thank you. Having been self-employed for the past 20+ years I like to celebrate that I haven't missed a meal yet and I recently I just reached the milestone of being completely debt-free...continued best wishes to you all
Dear Amon and Christina, I don’t remember exactly when I first commented here about how happy I was after earning just a few cents in dividends-such a small yet memorable milestone. The second time was when my husband and I hit $100K, and we rewarded ourselves with a trip to Portugal. Now, we’re so close to reaching half a million, which still feels unreal and unbelievable. To celebrate, we’re planning a trip to Italy. We’re not retiring anytime soon-we’re still in our late 30s-but we truly enjoy the journey of accumulating wealth. I can’t thank you both enough for being such an inspiration on this path.
so i stared to read and study the videos you made and now im 3 years away from retirement using your ideas has help me so much , with the help of god i will be done with work in 3 years at 50 years old . thank you guys
Thank you for making this video. It is true sometimes I beat myself up for not making the best money decisions in the past. I am feeling optimistic this year. Happy New Year!
As an early 50's person who will be retiring soon, I had to smile today at the thrift store when I overheard a couple of 20-something young ladies talking about Roths.
This makes me feel much better. I’ve been saving for a home since I was young (15) with absolutely no knowledge of investing, savings accounts, etc. so I felt I’ve been behind. By the time I finished with my masters degree, I had saved $65k. Now I’m at $80k, not including the $10k I have in my retirement account. I’m splitting my savings into $30k for emergency fund and $50k for a home and going from there. We’re saving at a rate of ~$1-2k a month because we stick to a budget and are intentional about what we spend on. No impulse buys, no services we can do ourselves, and NO overconsumption! This year I told my family we weren’t buying anyone Christmas gifts because no one NEEDS anything and that helped save us over $500!
I'm 23 years old and my boyfriend is 27. We started FIRE 1 year ago with the goal of retiring in 10-12 years. We would also like to move to Portugal 😊. Thanks for the video!
Hey. Good to see you guys again. While I do agree that being ahead of the median is laudable, the fact is that the median is in a very precarious position. I do think I have money dysphoria, because my family of 4… our net worth is about 11M$, and yet… I stress about money all the time. Not sure how to stop worrying.
I became FI at 38 (Oct 24) from dividends and RE. A week later, my employer let me go. I haven't looked back. Thank you for creating these videos.
What a great feeling. I aspire to be there someday. Congratulations
Collecting unemployment insurance as a send off after achieving FI, congrats!
happy to hear you had your dividends and RE on point!
How? What was your job? Salary? Investing strategy?

I took your stock market course a couple years ago and every time I buy another dividend fund share, it’s a win. 🏆🏁
Happy New Year! May we all experience abundant health and wealth!
