I hate that picture that compares a really cloudy and poorly cut sapphire vs a diamond. I have definitely have seen and even own a (lavender) sapphire that is not so cloudy and very sparkly, comparable sparkle to a diamond albeit probably not quite as sparkly. I just think that comparison picture does not do the sapphire justice.
I have white sapphire that if cut would be hard for a person to tell its not diamond. I have some that is more clear then glass with such a reflective index you can see a ranbow in it.
Mossinate is the best alternative to a diamond. Diamond pens cant tell the difference. And is infact the 2nd hardest stone, not sapphire. With the same fire and brilliance.
Totally agree with that! The only other alternative that I recommend are lab-grown diamonds. I just published a new blog post about this topic mydiamondguide.com/lab-grown-diamonds/
Definitely not the same fire and brilliance. Moissanite is NOTICEABLY more brilliant and lustrous than a diamond. Many people like that and that’s fine and laymen won’t typically know the difference between the two, but you can definitely tell with the naked eye. To me, moissanite is just a little too… rainbowy and gaudy.
Milind P White Topaz sparkles “ White” with no colors in sparkles. But still rare & desirable because the White is natural, where as all the colored Topaz is Irradiated to give it the color.
White Topaz is softer and scratches easily. I get annoyed having to take my ring off every time I wash my hands, too. However, I heard that white sapphire clouds easily as well.
@@e.michelle2424 White sapphire is a hardness of 9 on the Mohs scale, so it shouldn't cloud up unless you're very hard on your jewelry. That said, you have to keep them clean, especially underneath. Even diamonds look cloudy if they're dirty.
Or get a lab created sapphire. I paid $10 at Christmas for lab white sapphire stud earrings, 4 cts total weight, from JCPenney, and they look like diamonds. Moissanite is a created stone anyway, so if you don't mind created stones, white sapphires look like diamonds if cut well. Just don't buy from those companies who pretend to sell white sapphire engagement rings, because they're really czs. I know; I have one from Jeulia.
Get a White Natural Zircon instead. It has more sparkle than a Diamond as it has a higher refractive index. That is what they model Cubic Zirconium after.😝
White sapphire is harder. It's a 9 on the Mohs scale. The one they showed isn't typical since they chose a very bad stone, so please don't judge by this video.
The price is SOOOOOOOO much cheaper is could be worth it for costume purposes. I rather buy sapphire than lab created diamond simply because I think lab diamond values will plummet over time. Lab created diamonds are 1/10 cost now but I think they will go even lower to 1/25 cost as supply increases. At least the Sapphire price is already a rock bottom price and it is still a real natural stone.

I agree. They sabotaged that comparison.
The guide is called MyDiamondGuide... Understand ? haha

My white sapphire looks just like the cubic zirconia and diamond in the photo, the sapphire in the photo is inaccurate.
I agree! I have a brilliant cut white sapphire, and it looks just like a diamond.
Great explanation with beautiful voice.I hope more video come again.From. SHERWANI
I have a white sapphire engagement ring and it gets so cloudy so fast and almost never has a sparkle to it.

I liked it Great informative video!
Moissanite is the second hardest material in the world, not sapphire, which is actually quite soft and clouds easily of not cleaned daily.
Helpful advice!
What about white topaz? In india its sold mostly as cheaper alternative to diamond over zirconia

A sapphire is a 9 on the mohs hardness scale. Directly under a diamond.
very good presentation
Pls confirm how to place order from you
Another alternative would be moissanite, looks better than a sapphire and is cheaper than a diamond.
Totally agree! I actually wrote an article specifically about moissanite mydiamondguide.com/moissanite-vs-diamond/
Where can I find a moissanite ring?
