Thanks for posting this! I was so inspired that I drove up from San Diego on Thursday night and ran the loop on Friday. It was absolutely stunning!

Wow, that is so great to hear. Part of why I even film stuff on the trail is to get people excited to go out and run it!

20 years ago, maybe, before my back said 'NO MORE!' Now, just hikes out of Huntington to Nellie and back. You are awesome!

I did this loop yesterday and I was absolutely stunned by it! Did not expect this much snow, but I guess that was my mistake! Went totally underprepared. The scary part was that I did not see a single soul the whole time which kinda freaked me out (especially when I struggled to find the trail)! 😛

If you did this as a loop I would put the distance beyond 15 miles. I have done Kaiser Peak starting at the Nellie Lake Trailhead and taking the Nellie Lake trail to the Kaiser Peak trail to Kaiser Peak and back. That route is 16 miles using my Garmin GPS. I have it at about 12 miles out and back from the trailhead above the horse stables to Kaiser Peak. You folks being able to jog up the trail makes me smile.

You're spot on with the milage. This particular day we went off the trail a bit and came up a little short on the usual miles. This is one of my favorite trails I can't wait for the snow to melt! Glad you enjoyed the video!

Good luck on that! I was up there in June after the 2010-2011 winter and could only get to College Rock before turning back. The Nellie Lake trail melts out even slower b/c it is more shaded. I wonder where the Climb To Kaiser turn around will be this year? Kaiser Pass might be full of snow.

I've watched this video a few time now, finally hiked the loop this weekend, counter clockwise, a great day. Someday I wish to be in enough shape to run like you guys, til then, more trail hikes. Did you refill your containers at the streams, using filters?

Kaiser Wilderness is beautiful and never crowded, glad to hear you were able to experience the whole loop. We did refill at a couple creeks using the Sawyer Mini Filter, it's very compact and works well.
