A Secret Journey into the World of LADAKHI CUISINE | Ladakhi Food Experience

Not only is food a vital element when it comes to experiencing a place on our travels, but the local cuisine of everyplace is a gateway to understand the culture and traditions. Contrary to popular belief Ladakhi food is a lot more than just momos and thukpas. And to get a peek into its history, heritage, and roots I found someone who is on a mission to honour, document, and celebrate her native cuisine. Kunzes Angmo is a food researcher who conducts bespoke Lunch Experiences in order to promote the food and culture of her ancestors
These experiences are not just about having a meal but also the stories behind the ingredients on the plate, what their cultural significance is, and what role each dish has played in the evolution of trans-Himalayan cuisine. This is what I call a true experiential feast.
