it certainly is! I had a 2020 R1 previous to this and as fun as it was to crack open on the highway, I wasn't skilled enough or willing to risk even going 1/10 of what that bike could do on the twisties. but I got to live out my super bike fantasy for a few years. the T9 is a much better fit for me :)
Hi man, the installation of the carbon fiber clamp should be with both side outside of the braked, not inside and outside, this is the reason there is a gap.
Great video mate! I own a Tracer 900GT and fitted a Delkevic and it sounds exactly the same as yours! I absolutely love my bike but will likely one day upgrade to the 9GT.
Thanks for watching! :) and thats awesome! I've been loving this bike since I got it. I previously had a 2020 R1 and as much exhilarating fun and blistering speed as that bike provided and would be needed a break from riding about every hour just to stretch haha. The T9GT has been just perfect for the street and also with my goals of doing some moto camping. They really are rad bikes!
@@sullyroams I used to own an FZ1 which had a (de-tuned) R1 engine, just so so fast and smooth! I love my 900GT because it is so comfortable to ride and still quite fast particularly down low but I do occasionally miss that warp speed feel of the FZ1 when it hit 6000rpm. I could never understand why Yamaha haven’t released an MT10 Tracer as a rival to the BMW S1000XR however now Suzuki have released their equivalent GSX S1000GX I am hoping Yamaha will do the same. Imagine the comfort of your Tracer 9GT with almost the speed of the R1!!!!!
Hi man, thanks for such a cool video! I just have bought the same exhaust and going to install it. Just wanted to know about the header gaskets - is it possible to use the old ones?
They do suggest using new ones but I just used the same ones. I think a lot of people do. All things considered they are pretty cheap to order if you have the time/patience(I did not haha) to wait for them to ship.
that part alone probably took 25% of the time getting it off and then even worse, getting it back on. I unbolted the lower radiator support to get a little extra room as well I had a pivoting socket on the end of an extension. it took some patience getting it back in.
How is the sound when you drive constantly 100 km/h (62 mph)? I thing the sound is annoying and it sounds like if there is a 7th gear missing. I don't know if it's the motor or the stock exhaust
I definitely wish 6th was a little longer, it does seem a little short for something that is part "tourer" right? I still find the wind noise to be louder and more annoying than the exhaust at that speed though.
The bike already comes with a more cleanly-mounted OEM exhaust that sounds good. There is no need to replace it with that wart that adds zero function.
ha, thanks for your opinion. Like I mention in the video, I agree the OEM one is slick and minimal which I like... as for the Akro, besides actually adding horsepower I think it adds quite a fun experience sound wise, and a little race flare with the carbon bit. I've generally always modified the exhaust on all my fun vehicles to my liking :)
Yeah man I don't disagree, I have used them in the past especially on highway commuting or touring. Around town, running errands I previously wouldn't bother usually since I wasn't getting up to speed for much wind noise. Now with this exhaust just running errands the bike itself is so loud I lean towards wearing them all the time. @@i.beremliyski
Looks fast enough to me!

Thanks for watching and good lookin out! I'll go back and change that :)
Looks like a decently easy job. Thanks for the vid!
yep, pretty straight forward! Thanks for watching!

super nice
Great job bro, do you still jave stock wheels, if not, which ones do you recommend?
Good sounds!
thank you!!
Nice install video....did you remap after exhaust install?...
It's on my to-do list as I think a flash tune generally smoothes everything out even more, but as per Akropovic it is stated as not required.
Good question I installed this pipe today and im thinking that 🤔

I used the original* ones
How did you get to that 10 mm radiator bracket bolt? I can't find any good angle to get at it.

You can put your panniers on with this not interfering correct?
yep! I was concerned about that too but they fit without any conflict with the exhaust.

I live in commifornia , I can’t get this exhaust shipped here 😭😭😭😭😭🤬 I want it really bad !
I have the same akrapovic and i am thinking to sell. To much loud for me .
yeah, it definitely requires use of earplugs when riding now. I do enjoy it though.
@@sullyroamsyou should wear them regardless

Anyway, I recommend earplugs due to wind noise. This work very good with the exhaust sound.

No before and after. Waste of everyone's time.
There’s plenty of “before” videos out there for you to listen to 🙂↕️
