I this review made me very happy about my decision to buy this laptop. Exactly what I was looking for. A desktop like experience away from home! Can’t wait to get my hands on it!
12:55 Not true. They have PC cases the size of a 2013 original Xbox One console. You can build a very powerful PC with the Fractal Design Node 202 case or the Silverstone RVZ02 or RVZ03 cases. You can easily bring that with you in your car and drive to your Dad's house and hook it up via HDMI to his TV or a monitor.
I love that jacket. Clicked on the link to see the price. I figured 60-80 $, maybe 100$ but no; 330$. For that price it better double as a motorcycle jacket & be slid resistant up to 40 MPH

If your interested on spending this kinda money on a laptop, and can wait a few months I would recommend it. Nvidia should be coming out with mobile versions of their new Ampere series GPUs within a few months.
My gaming PC is just collecting dust, ever since I switched to use zenbook pro duo as a daily driver. Even if secondary screen isn't properly angled it is useful as hell.
30fps in current day is not a good experience for any game (be it how demanding it can be). In most of the games fps is more imp than 4k res. So its suggested to always stick to 1080p for new games (if you don't have 3000 series GPUs from Nvidia) . Games have started to become more and more demanding now adays which makes me think twice before splashing on a laptop or a desktop. For a normal or a casual gamer, a Console is better suggested.
after seeing this, I kinda want Mr. Mobile to check out the G14. Yeah it's terribly old at this point of time, tech-wise, but I'd still want to see his reaction.
I ordered that exact lap top a few days ago! Did a lot of research. Your review made me feel even better about it! My new job covered most of the cost so even better. LOL.
Own it. Love it. Minus the Aura keyboard shortcut. The preset you make doesn't end up on the list of Fn+Arrow Keys, so if you switch it accidentally, you need to open Aura completely and change it. You also cannot re-map what FN+Arrow Keys does, so ... yeah. It was a learning curve vs my XPS 15.
I bought the "Asus Zenbook Duo" earlier this year, with the i7 but I certainly didn't have the money to get that PRO model you reviewed. Even still, I couldnt be happier with it. Life at home means I've rarely used the 2nd screen (usually leave it off) but I use the hdmi everyday for a bigger screen. So once work is done - I have more than enough power for youtube on one screen & StarCraft 2 on the other. The SD card is a real winner as i'm a media junky and 512gb (475 usuable) storage isn't enough, so having an additional 256gb SD card to tank - help keeps the SSD storage on the lower side (and hopefully working for longer). Battery life is decent if you watch media & browse internet pages, but as soon as the GPU has to turn on... it's turns into an old big block V8 and battery depletion plummets fast! - I purchased mine in Australia (Harvey Norman - yes they were actually the cheapest by a good $200) - and walked away with it for $2,200 AUD. As happy as I am with mine... As soon as I bought it, I wondered if they would be able to give a tilt function to the 2nd screen... and oh hey.. they certainly did! Perhaps if things get back to normal in the near future I can make a costly decision whether to repair my desktop (ssd/motherboard/ram up the shitter) or spend more and get a very nice laptop.. I prefer desktops.. but i'd be lying if that isn't what I always dreamed about getting in my school days... back in the days of 5110, 3210, 6210 & 8210s ^^
Got the zephyrus 15 DUO se laptop last week and i cannot even play a youtube video sometimes on the internal laptop if i have both the displays on! Basically no PC in existence can run Flight Sim at 4K Max settings, so I'm really not surprised how it ran as a laptop. The mobile 2080 Super really isn't quite cut out for 4K.
13:05 Who on earth would set up a desktop PC on the dining room table? If you have 4000$ budget, there is plenty coin left for a small Ikea desk in the corner of the room.
The laptop has one major flaw which contradicts the main objective of purchasing this laptop: you cant use the touchsceen while gaming. Oddly, your main display is minimized if u attempt to touch the second screen while gaming. This defeats the main purchase of purchasing the laptop as it means you cant use the second display actively while gaming. For example if you attempt to use skype, whatsapp or discord in the secondary screen while gaming, your main screen would be minimised when you touch the second screen. This means that you can only use the second screen for display purposes while gaming but cant interact with it. Hence I would recommend it for creative work but not gaming
I don't think it would minimize the main window. He said it shifts focus, so if you touch the smaller screen, you would have to click or alt+tab back to your main window.
Michael, where did you buy that jacket??? I love it! I've always wanted a TNG jacket, but they usually have the printed comm badges and pips on them and it always felt too much for me. This is a clear reference but understated and subtle.

@@derriusbranch8620 ? what? this laptop has everything I personally need commuting between locations. I'm months deep w this setup and I love it. I ain't gon drag a monitior and desktop through lower east. a lot more inconspicuous
If it's not a solid 60 it's not perfect chief. Then again I'm probably just spoiled by my desktop.
This thing will do 98% of games at 4k 120hz, just not cyberpunk and flight sim 2020. Does your desktop manage to do that? Because if so you must be one of the six guys who actually got their hands on a 3080.
@@XTYRMIN8Z I'm just shitposting.
great video Michael! Just as I was telling David Imel I got my Zephyrus Duo 15 he said you just posted your video an hour ago!! What are the chances? I've only had it for 3 days and this is my first new Windows laptop in over a decade, so there's a bit of a learning curve for me. So far so good.
Well, I don't have this one, but, I do have the Asus Zenbook pro duo. Yeah, I didn't needed a dual screen laptop for gaming.
"And of course, it was cheaper."
The Duo runs more FPS on an external display if you disable the ScreenPad+; will probably get more with the main display off too!
Every video from MrMobile is an art
I'm so happy for your dad at least he experienced playing MFS and yeah portability is everything!
I bought this laptop awhile ago. I do not regret paying the $5,000 for it. This is a premium luxury product that has not let me down. I decided to have mobility over a desktop and I still do not regret it!
I love how brave ASUS is.
MrMobile is slowly becoming MrLaptop
Looking forward to the review of those AirPod max you got on that washing machine!
He will say that he can't recommend them to a lot of people due to the price, but that for Apple enthusiasts that have cash to spare they will be great.
But he'll do it in a really elegant and cool way!

Last time I was this early...
No, never been this early. Thanks for the AMAZING level of production value as always. I admire your scriptwriting finesse.
I this review made me very happy about my decision to buy this laptop. Exactly what I was looking for. A desktop like experience away from home! Can’t wait to get my hands on it!
“It’s a little slice of the future that you can buy today”
Somebody in a marketing position is going to make a lot of money thanks to you.
Not every laptop needs a camera, there are plenty on the market that offer them. Let asus make new things. Don't LG asus.
Cyberpunk 2077 and Asus Zephyrus Duo
Two most buggiest and lovable!
I love that jacket. Clicked on the link to see the price. I figured 60-80 $, maybe 100$ but no;
330$.
For that price it better double as a motorcycle jacket & be slid resistant up to 40 MPH
Haven't followed your videos lately but it's a good change to see you actually talking instead of narrating. Thanks for the review, now excuse me while I go to wipe the drool from chin! ;)
PS: That's a sweet jacket!
If your interested on spending this kinda money on a laptop, and can wait a few months I would recommend it. Nvidia should be coming out with mobile versions of their new Ampere series GPUs within a few months.
Dude 13:10 was GOLD - The True Gamer Moment!
My gaming PC is just collecting dust, ever since I switched to use zenbook pro duo as a daily driver. Even if secondary screen isn't properly angled it is useful as hell.
I just bought the Asus Zenbook Duo a month ago and I am loving it. But this is on another level.
Damn, playing cyberpunk 2077 without putting it in the tag at all, i have respect for that.
Ha! Damn, actually that was an oversight. I really should.
@@TheMrMobile lol, either way i have respect for you to try to play the damn game anyway 😂
Same. I buy gaming laptops because I like being able to bring them anywhere I want to
30fps in current day is not a good experience for any game (be it how demanding it can be).
Awesome review as always, do you think you will ever cover the LG double play on "when phones were fun"? It's essential the predecessor to the LG WING
I ordered that exact lap top a few days ago! Did a lot of research. Your review made me feel even better about it! My new job covered most of the cost so even better. LOL.
Awesome. Enjoy it!
Own it.
I like the Lost numbers at 11:33 :)
I prefer desktops.. but i'd be lying if that isn't what I always dreamed about getting in my school days... back in the days of 5110, 3210, 6210 & 8210s ^^
probably the most underrated tech youtuber
Got the zephyrus 15 DUO se laptop last week and i cannot even play a youtube video sometimes on the internal laptop if i have both the displays on! I have a 5k monitor connected VIA HDMI, i cannot even play GTA5 on low settings, similar issues with video playback and especially if i connect a Bluetooth headset, it's done! HELLLPPPP!!! 🙌🙌
MrMobile is the only channel where the narrator can say "after a quick word from my sponsor" and i lean forward and say "oh, yes, please let me know what the sponsor has to say" and i'll watch the sponsor message with no problem at all.
Couldn’t help but notice a razer blade in your video as well. What is the laptop of choice for you Mr. Mobile? Razer blade 17 2020 or the asus zephyrus duo? The razer blade allows you to upgrade ram and the hard drive.
That Razer was from an earlier hands-on. The Zephyrus would be my preference if I were buying. (Which ... I might be!)
@@TheMrMobile would you buy it now though mike? With 2020 coming around the corner and possibly next gen graphic cards and such? I’m on the verge of getting one of these as well, but the model I’m looking at has a 2070, not sure how it would stack up in the future .. just trying to convince myself to pull the trigger on this guy I guess lol
Not tech related: I love your sweater! Very TNG movie era!
ASUS is awesome. Zephyrus Duo and G14 are best laptops this year.
Omg I can’t believe they named their brand “thrust master”
I've been catching up on your videos today, (having a one year old daughter keeps one very busy). Loving your content Michael and you have an awesome home too!
Man, that bulkiness! That cooling! That battery! This laptop is CRYING for a Zen 3 Ryzen! With what Asus already managed to deliver here, I sure hope the next gen of Duo laptops hits the nail this time.
Perfect review as always. You're my go-to for reviews since you always cover a customers standpoint. Keep up the great work!
Basically no PC in existence can run Flight Sim at 4K Max settings, so I'm really not surprised how it ran as a laptop.
The mobile 2080 Super really isn't quite cut out for 4K.
You'll hate me, but first thing I'd do would be to dual boot it with Linux Mint
Should have gone with lower res screen - 4k just put the whole situation upside down.
All depends on the usecase. I bought mine for vMix and content creation first, gaming 2nd. The 4k is perfect for productivity and content creation.
This is probably the most interesting laptop of 2020
13:05 Who on earth would set up a desktop PC on the dining room table? If you have 4000$ budget, there is plenty coin left for a small Ikea desk in the corner of the room.
First comment on a video and I have to say, thank you for finally saying Asus the correct way!
Papa Fisher playing Flight Simulator was hands down the best picture of 2020
I’ve subscribed for the flight control reviews, so don’t let me down MrMobile!
The only laptop I'd really want tbh. It looks amazing.
The lower settings like clouds and what not look near identical and runs much much smoother!
lost me at 3 hours of light office use :( haha
Michael, where did you buy that jacket??? I love it! I've always wanted a TNG jacket, but they usually have the printed comm badges and pips on them and it always felt too much for me. This is a clear reference but understated and subtle.
Thanks! This is from Volante Design (who provided it in exchange for its appearance). Link is the last one in the "Products" field of the description.
@@TheMrMobile Thanks Michael! Keep up the awesome videos and Star Trek references. They keep me going man.
3:17 nice
Love how you mention portability Michael and how that sort of laptop isn't really intended for it... my Alienware Area 51m goes everywhere with me, thanks to my eBags Professional Slim bag.
If they had kept the top touchscreen you could just tap it to restore focus after touching the bottom screen. 11:00 Why the hell did they remove the touchscreen at the top? Ridiculous.
Been using this since last month after ditching Alienware area 51m r2..so happy with this portable powerhouse..
