    I lightened my hair with indigo in it but I always put henna on my hair first before the indigo. Which is advisable no matter what.

    Hi, thanks so much for this video! I was looking to see if I could cover roots with henna because I wanted to love on my hair but was worried because I do have streaks very much like the ones you got in the salon and wanted to make sure they could dye over them! Would you mind telling me if you use a specific brand of henna, and if so, which one? Do you think "Rainbow Research, Henna, Hair Color & Conditioner, Dark Brown" looks okay? it has no additives/preservatives. Also, do you use lemon juice or coffee/etc to boost the color at all? Just want to make sure my hair doesnt turn green!
    Thanks so much in advance for your response!

    Don't wanna be the bearer of bad news but I don't see much of a difference. Maybe one shade lighter.

      Laura Mahan After the application of the gloss at the end it was a dark red which may be hard for you to tell but for me I definitely can, and I wanted it more subtle anyhow, but if you saw after she took the foil off before adding the gloss, it was very blonde! And that's what I found to be of most significance for this video as I wanted to show that you can bleach over hair with henna in it as long as the henna you used was body art quality, meaning it's pure and has not salts or additives in it that can react to lightening products. Thanks!

      If you check this video ua-cam.com/video/C2KOkigdFt4/v-deo.html you can really see the difference now that the gloss has faded

      Really weird because I absolutely can. Especially in the "after" picture that is shown there you can see the warm mahogany brown glow in her ends. When you consider how dark and quite cold shade the starting point is the result seems way warmer and fresh. Anyway, it wasn't even the point and the difference at the bleaching part is without a doubt noticeable

    How long did you wait to bleach your hair?

    • @GopiHenna
      @GopiHenna 6 років тому +4

      I believe it had been a few months but no matter when you did your last henna application just make sure you do a full test strip, making sure the strands are covered from the roots to the tips since if it has been a really long time, the ends may still have some left in them, so always test first to see how your hair will react and then you can proceed if you got a good result!

      This reply is late but for anyone in this predicament- L’Oréal effasol+ 20 vol developer will help significantly!! Do at ur own risk though, it’s damaging and if there’s indigo in ur henna it’ll probably turn blue or green!

    Stay with the dark henna tones, don't lighten it/highlight it, don't. Highlights look great on mousy brown girls, but dark beauties please stop the trend of highlighting your hair, stay dark, please🦋
