Was there any study on this matter done in India also? Lots of Spices are also being used over there.

There are studies and third party testing going on continuously, and Indian International supplies are seen to be in the clear:)

So what do we do? I guess stop eating all curry powders, turmeric... and only buy fresh turmeric roots? I just bought new dried curry and turmeric, and turmeric tea by Numi. This is so depressing...as I already have a chronic medical condition. And, since I have inflammation, I try to add turmeric to my diet.

@raymond daubney I don't think there is any real concern over in Aussie Ray. I am doing a deep dig into this concern, and I think much of it commercially created. As seen in the video here, It is Bangladesh Related and discovered along time ago. Many world regulators have known about it since the discovery and have taken precaution from I have discovered thus far. The only good news about the hype being displayed now is that the Bangladesh GOVT are finally taking action against this problem:) Curcuminoids are awesome.

All Turmeric from India has Lead in it .
Mostly added to cheat or small amount from soil pollution.
I buy fresh root from Thailand. From India the best spice is cow dung , moldy curry powder is 2nd (poison).

The information in this video has been heavily edited to leave out critical information about how the lead gets into the spice, who is responsible for poisoning the people in this way, and so on. Grateful to these gentle whistleblowers, but truly shameful cover-up on the part of those whose job it is to regulate food safety.
