That outro, man. It sounds like running out into a thunderstorm screaming, crying and cussing at God. It sounds as if the last bit of hope to surmount this tragedy has just run out and now all you can do is scream in grief. This is a living nightmare. You don't want to see what it's like when the dust settles and leave behind what has been lost. But tomorrow always comes, and I think Jane Doe, the next and final song on this album, captures this: the depressing moving-on phase; the forgetting; the fading of emotions; the survivor's guilt; the broken promises to never let go; the loss of meaning over distance and time; the neutering of a soul.
The entire opening riff leading into and including when Jacob starts singing "Thaw" is one of my favourite pieces of Converge songwriting. Also Nate's weird bassline in that bridge before the big climax.
Always knew about Kurt and Converge but once I saw them live I was hellbent on building Kurt’s pedal that’s also his business card; The Brutalist Jr. Thanks to Kurt, I’m building my first pedal very soon!
peak of music. i could write a paper about my love for this song

Beautifully put mate. It never gets completely neutered though, that's why we keep coming back here ;)
@@mariboustate4707 facts man 😌
my thoughts exactly
I think the ending of this song is one of the biggest highlights of the album
Absolute favourite, such a masterpiece of an album.
It's extremity and heaviness haven't waned even a little. Groundbreaking for 2001.
my god that riff at 2:32 is magnificent
The breakdown brings tears to my eyes it’s so good.

Ryleigh S That Bass bridge is fucking amazing, always gets me pumped for that huge climax
Always loved that part, sounds like NIN or something
One of my favourite songs by Converge.
I love that intro drum fill, with fast snare hits and kick combo. Ben is really talented and he can make also small drum fills, really interesting.
This lowkey sounds like it’s mixed a lot better than on Spotify. The guitars feel crunchier, the bass rumbles, and the drums hit like a sledgehammer
yeah, also some of the vocals are way easier to pick out than the download i have and the spotify version.
Falling from a burning skyscraper the musical

This is the best song on the album
I dont even understand half the shit this guy is saying but its so powerful
he's saying ARGHGHHHGHHHHHARGHHHHHHHHH!
exactly. Donald Duck is the vocals on the heaviest metal album yet
Eargasm outro.
Bannon screams like a feral monster, it's so cool
The guitar fills at the end
this song sounds like the end of the world
MEOW!

This is the equivalent of fireworks that shoot underground instead of up in the air
Не люблю подобную музыку от слова "совсем". Но этот альбом чистый восторг!
