Positano is the most famous and iconic village on the Amalfi Coast, the spectacular strip of coastline with the turquoise waters of the Mediterranean Sea to one side and the peaks of the Lattari Mountains to the other. The coastline stretches for 37 miles (60 kilometres) south of Naples (Napoli) and north of Salerno in the southern Italian region of Campania. The entire Amalfi Coast is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with highlights including Positano as well as the equally picturesque towns of Amalfi and Ravello.
Take a dip in the crystalline waters off the coast, admire the dramatic cliffs by sea on a mini-cruise, relax over a romantic dinner overlooking the water, and stroll along the narrow, twisting lanes under a lush canopy of wisteria and lemon trees.
Where is Positano?
Positano is the first town you reach on the Amalfi Coast when arriving from Naples, and it's about a 20-minute drive from the Sorrentine Peninsula and about 30 minutes from Capri by ferry.
You can reach Positano by bus from Sorrento or Amalfi (there are two stops: "La Sponda" and "Chiesa Nuova"). There are also ferries in the summer from Sorrento and Capri.
Positano is a village built from the bottom to the top of an Italian hill on Monte Comune, in the province of Salerno, by the sea. It is absolutely breathtaking to see these houses one above the other because at first glance we only see these houses and no more vegetation, when in fact there are citrus gardens and palm trees.

It really is! Thanks for watching our videos 🙏❤️
❤🥹😅😍 C est tellement beau l’Italie 🇮🇹 quel bonheur et plaisir partagé pour les yeux 👀 sous le soleil ☀️ merci 🤩 🙏🌹🍀🥰🇧🇪
Thanks for your kind words, we appreciate a lot your support 🙏❤️🤗
So crouded. How it is possible to enjoy this beauty?
Hi thanks for watching our videos ❤️🙏 Depending on the days and time of the day you can find less people and we have videos on each location on our channel and you can see that only in the centre is usually crowded, but once you walk a little from the centre is pretty empty and you can enjoy the beauty sometimes even alone. Check our videos to see more detailed trips there.
Best Regards.
So beautiful ❤❤❤❤😍🥰
Thanks 🤗 ❤️🙏
Back in 1978 I went to this beautiful area plus Vesuvius and Pompeii and we saw pick pockets then in the back streets of Naples. Capri fantastic. Great memories.
Thanks for sharing, we have videos from Capri, Naples and Sorrento if you want to watch. We had a pretty good experience at Amalfi Coast and no issues with pickpocketers. Once you walk past city centre it's pretty empty so really nice to walk around. Hopefully you can visit it again soon. Thanks for watching our videos ❤️🙏
naples still has this problem
Make sure to hold onto your wallets, lol.
thanks for sharing! great video
Thanks for watching! 🙏❤️
Positano is such a fabulous place, 637 liked
Thanks for watching our videos ❤️🙏
I love how you drew the route 1:20 it definitely puts you in a tier above the other walk videos. Also your footage and location you picked were superb! 😍
Thank you very much for the kind words! It took some work but with comments like this is worthy the effort 😊😍 We upgraded our camera and are filming a lot of new stuff right now in a better quality so keep tuned in, a lot of new good stuff we come soon ❤️🙏
Positano! ➕➕➕
Thanks for watching our videos ❤️
thanks for sharing! so beautiful 🥰🥰😍🤩🤩🤩😘😘🤩🥰🥰
Thank you too for watching our videos ❤️❤️❤️🙏
Краасиво!
Thanks for watching our videos ❤️🙏
We've visited once and it really is beautiful! but It's expensive and massively crowded. This year we will take the boat from Sorrento and admire the beauty of the coastline from there, but will not venture into Positano town again. Ravello is another lovely town further down the coast and did not seem as crowded as Positano. Your video is excellent and really does capture the vibe of the town.
Thanks for the kind words ❤️🙏 We have videos from Capri, Sorrento and Naples you can watch. We had no time to film the other ones unfortunately, hopefully will visit them soon and film them. Enjoy your travel and thanks for watching our videos ❤️🙏
Walking without Walking

Many thanks ❤️❤️🙏

Thanks for watching our videos ❤️🙏
what a pain that road is!
Hi, once you walk past city centre it's pretty empty and really nice to walk around. On our video once you pass the main beach there are very few people. Thanks for watching our videos ❤️🙏
good work 👍
Thank you for watching our videos ❤️🙏 Cheers!
As pessoas falam muito baixo e não sorriem, diferente do povo Brasileiro que é muito animado 🇧🇷
Linda cidade
It's true that different cultures have unique characteristics! While Positano might have a more reserved atmosphere compared to lively Brazilian vibes 🇧🇷, it has its own charm. The stunning scenery, delicious Italian cuisine, and rich history make it a special place to visit. Every destination has its own beauty and charm! 😊🌍🍝
Looks like a dystopian bee hive to me.
Hi, once you walk past city centre it's pretty empty and really nice to walk around. On our video once you pass the main beach there are very few people. Thanks for watching our videos ❤️🙏
Some of us like a more vibrant scene. Personally I find places that have no one around boring.
Amalfi Coast is definitely a vibrant place full of life. 👍 Thanks for watching our videos. 🙏❤️
Beautiful picture, but 50 fps is so jittery when there's motion (the entire video)
Sorry for that, we had some issues so had to film 50 fps. Now we upgraded our camera and we are filming new high quality content. It will be 4K 60 fps with better quality, so stay tuned in. In meantime Thanks for watching our videos ❤️🙏.
Ide el fogok jutni 🎉🎉
Hi you definitely will get there, we believe in you. Thanks for watching our videos and good luck ❤️❤️🙏
Прекрасное видео !

Thanks a lot, we are filming a lot of great places now, hopefully you will like them, so soon we will have a lot of new great videos 🙏❤️
Several years ago I went in November - it was sunny and warm and there were almost no tourists.
It must have been such an amazing day. Usually once you get past the centre is quite empty, but there is something magical when you walk alone in this streets. Thanks for watching our videos 🙏❤️
How could anyone who are not 100% fit go on this holliday, otherwise you would end up with a bloody heart attack, the steps are a nightmare, lol😊😊😊
Haha, we get it! 😅 Capri can be a bit challenging with all the steps. It was a challenge for us to go up the stairs too! But don't worry, there are easier paths and plenty of ways to enjoy the island at a relaxed pace. Just take it slow and enjoy the beautiful scenery! 😊🚶♀️🏝️
Positano is so beautiful and i would love to visit the city sometime. I Think you should film so you film while you walk to the sides and not just dtraight ahead.
Thanks for the feedback we are working on this now, and we hope soon to make the videos more interesting and engaging ❤️🙏
How do you not get lost? I wish you had subtitles on the history of the places you walk through also, what time of day you’re walking and the temperature. And a map out diagram of where you walked.
Hi, if you check the description of the video you have the day and temperature written there and a brief description of Positano. If you turn on the subtitles (press CC button) you will see the subtitles with the historical information and fun facts. At around 00:01:10 you have the map showing where we walked and I will post a link of map soon so everyone can check it when it's needed.
Best Regards.
@@Meta__Travel Hello! I loved the video of Positano, and I'm definitely going to watch it again, especially now that I know there are subtitles. I love all the history of Italy.
Very nice but how can you enjoy gravel beaches? You'd have to drag a mattress down to the beach to lie down.
Yeah unfortunately the beaches aren't the strong part of Amalfi Coast, but the views are stunning. If they would had a proper beach then it would probably be even more crowded if that is even possible 😅
Thanks for watching our videos 🙏❤️.
Certainly has 'Tourist Price' markups.
Yes, unfortunately the prices are definitely not cheap. But there a plenty of shops if you need, and you have a lot of free water fountains. The bus is super cheap to get to Positano 2-3 euros from Sorrento. You can visit Positano and then go and eat in very good and cheap restaurants outside Positano.
Thanks for watching our videos 🙏❤️.
watch it once or twice. living there - it’s hard to think of anything worse. small rooms with access to narrow asphalt streets with eternally noisy motorcycles....
We understand that living in Positano might have its challenges, especially with the small rooms and noisy motorcycles. However, for visitors, the charm and beauty of the town often outweigh those inconveniences. 😊🏖️🚶♀️
I heard the council has done away with all the sunbeds on the beaches there.
I checked and so far there are still there. Thanks for watching our videos 🙏❤️
Positano is a beautiful scenic town but too over crowded in high summer.😝
Hi, once you walk past city centre it's pretty empty and really nice to walk around. On our video once you pass the main beach there are very few people. Thanks for watching our videos ❤️🙏
herding the cattle cash train.
Hi, once you walk past city centre it's pretty empty and really nice to walk around. On our video once you pass the main beach there are very few people. Thanks for watching our videos ❤️🙏
Overcrowded! I'll take another beach with less people anyday.
We understand that Positano can get quite crowded, especially during peak season. However, its charm and beauty are truly unique. If you prefer a quieter beach experience, Positano also has Fornillo Beach, which tends to have fewer tourists. Thanks for watching our video! 😊🏖️🌍
It is obviously beautiful. Still, a bit cramped and crowded for my tastes.
Hi, once you walk past city centre it's pretty empty and really nice to walk around. On our video once you pass the main beach there are very few people. Thanks for watching our videos ❤️🙏
I realize that this is not a tropical climate (destination), it's like Indiana where there are four seasons. Whenever I see a place like this it reminds me of the Tropics like Florida... do you remember as a kid putting sun-tan lotion on your skin called TROPICANA ? it was in all different types, oil, lotion, etc. it was for getting a deep dark tan, well that's what I think of when I travel to FLORIDA and I thought places like this were the same, but I come to find out the water is cold and the weather is not the TROPICS. Where can I find the TROPICS, like Canne or the Canary Islands?
It's interesting how different places can evoke memories of the tropics! 🌴 While Positano has its own unique charm, it doesn't have the tropical climate you might be thinking of. However, Positano is a beautiful place worth visiting at least once in your life. It offers breathtaking scenery and amazing Italian cuisine. For a true tropical experience with warm water and weather, you might want to consider destinations like the Caribbean, the Canary Islands, or Southeast Asia. Each of these places offers that warm, sunny vibe you're looking for! ☀️🏖️
@@Meta__Travel ok, I'll consider Southeast Asia for a trip in August (unless that's the worst time to go). Since I've done the Caribbean & Canary is a bit far away. great suggestions and information SUBSCRIBED
Thanks a lot for subscribing ❤️ For Southern Asia we would personally recommend Thailand, one of our favorite destinations there. But August is not the best time to visit this area as this is part of the rainy season. The best wheater to visit is usually between November to February during the dry season.
But if you enjoy a quieter travel experience and don't mind occasional rain, August can be a great time to visit Thailand. If you prefer optimal weather conditions and more people then plan your trip from November to February. Good Luck 👍
@@Meta__Travel thanks so much, i will be going back to see all the videos you've posted!!! thanks so much twice!!!
🙏❤️
looks too crowded

Thanks for watching our videos ❤️🙏
Sorry, buth there are a thousand more places in Italy equally as nice as Positano and way less touristi!
Hi, once you walk past city centre it's pretty empty and really nice to walk around. On our video once you pass the main beach there are very few people. We will have a lot of new videos with stunning views and a lot less people. Thanks for watching our videos ❤️🙏
a beautiful place ruined by over tourism...
Hi, once you walk past city centre it's pretty empty and really nice to walk around. On our video once you pass the main beach there are very few people. Thanks for watching our videos ❤️🙏
jeez what a bloody mess!!!
Hi, once you walk past city centre it's pretty empty and really nice to walk around. On our video once you pass the main beach there are very few people. Thanks for watching our videos ❤️🙏
Incredibly beautiful, but incredibly stupid at the same time. One rock landslide, and that whole town, along with thousands of residents and tourists will be wiped out. Why would anyone build architecture that hangs off a very steep cliff that is eroding year by year?
The views are stunning and crazy at same time, let's hope that nothing will happen to the residents so we can admire this beauty more.
Thanks for watching our videos 🙏❤️
Beautiful place but I guess it's way too over rated
At first I was thinking it will be overrated but it's really nice to visit.
We had pretty good experience there and no issues with pickpocketers. Once you walk past city centre it's pretty empty so really nice to walk around. You can see on our video once we go past the main beach there are very few people. Thanks for watching our videos ❤️🙏
Please don't post incorrect information, Positano is ONE of the most popular tourist resorts in Italy. Never heard of Capri, Sardinia, Lido of Venice, Rimini, Taormina? Besides, all the Amalfi coast including Positano and Amalfi is crawling with pickpockets that make your vacation less enjoyable for sure, and you won't find as many on the above locations. Double check your sources of information if you want to be credible...
Hi, we have videos on Capri and Sorrento if you want to watch as well, we will film more of Amalfi Coast soon. Our experience in Positano and Amalfi Coast was pretty good, no pickpocketers and once you walk past the city centre the streets are quite empty, you can see in our video that after we walk from the main beach it's not crowded and really nice to enjoy. Thanks for your feedback, we will consider and improve 🙏
These tourists in droves wandering around is my literal worst nightmare. That looks like hell on earth.
