- After it was announced that Power Book 2 Ghost Season 4 was going to be the last season for the Power Ghost series, there was chaos on social media from the cast and crew in regards to the cancellation of Ghost. There was conflicting information in terms of them not knowing about Power Ghost being cancelled after Ghost Season 4 and I released a video where I said, there could potentially be a marketing spin to it. Well, in recent days, Michael Rainey Jr who plays Tariq St Patrick on Ghost did an interview where he said he did know that the show was ending and he was trying to stir the pot a little (straight from 50 Cent's playbook) something we've seen 50 use over and over again in the Power world and in the Power Universe to promote his shows. So it seems like Michael Rainey (Tariq St Patrick) knew that Ghost Season 4 was going to be the last. But the next question is, what next? What's coming after the world of Ghost? In this video I also breakdown what other spin offs could be in the works in regards to the wider Power Universe.

*After the latest interview I thought it was the perfect time to rewind it back to Courtney Kemps comments from a few years ago and yes, she may no longer be the showrunner or involved as much. But, they had a plan before to implement a major shift around the s5 mark and it might still be a good hint as to what's coming next in the Power world. Great breakdown. This has been my exact sentiment once they announce this will be the end. Just the ending of this chapter (4 yrs in college) and now off to the next. Present day. I also feel like the woman who may demand for Tariq to pick between the board room and the streets can be Noma daughter.. the fact that she’s in school and don’t know what her mom does is interesting. Also, I don’t think they’ll add a new character to the last season if they didn’t plan on using them as an introduction to the next chapter of Tariq journey. Just my thoughts

I love the idea of him starting a lawyer career for two reasons - he could have people like brayden cane and Tommy dragging him back into the drug life and having to live two lives as he always has, but the big one that I think is eliza marie could also be a lawyer which could be a huge thing as she knows tariq set her dad up to be killed.

Years ago i was on courtney kemps ig live and she said season 4-5 will have major changes. So the whole “canceling” was a marketing gimmick cuz the show will change from drug dealing to probably more white collar type of show.

It's good to know the cast and writers were not actually caught off guard with the cancellation. Hopefully it means the ending will have a (satisfying conclusion) instead of feeling as if the show was promptly cut off in the middle of a storyline.
I hope we at least continue Tariq and Brayden's story(if brayden lives) in another show

@@Caden30244YT well this really was the "Tejada chapter" of his story. Plus I think another spinoff would be in another city like where 50 just opened another studio. It all comes to money man. A lot of networks are gonna start doing the same. Cut shows to 4-5 seasons and spinoff from there. Just the way the industry is going.

I can definitely see Riq going legit or attempting to do so but I also see something big happening to Brayden’s family. Which would in fact push him down that dark path even more. Probably needing money his family is ruined name ruined no money Ponzi scheme on the run.. he did say he didn’t want to end up like riq but now look🤷🏽♂️😭 Riq will definitely feel in debt to Brayden after all he did (reminds me of season 6 of power ep 9 (ghost said I don’t need you but you need me! & Tommy was like you get everything I got nothing!
Tyriq as a lawyer is actually something I would love to watch I think that is the move that way he can still be connected to the streets in some ways but definitely legit like he is figuring out he wants to do now

I disregarded the news as just a rumor and I was in total denial… even after the official announcement and trailer broke it took a minute for the news to get through to me lol

Ive been saying this. In a interview a long time ago, Michael said that there will not be a long wait between season 3 and 4, and there will be a long wait after season 4 between you see Tariq again
I think his character might continue through his father’s footsteps and have it be in power book v: influence… they announced it with the rest of the power universe and they ended up switching force and influence in the lineup from 4-5. Power book v is going to be the final era of Tariq not sure if it’ll still be called influence but definitely know he will spread his wings n fly in it with character development to the max

The woman woman who will make Riq choose between being legit or streets cant be Effie or Diana, so I think possibly it could be Lauren, because Lauren was the only one who loved Riq for the man who could be instead of the monster he was, like who Angie was to Ghost.

I feel like the narrative around Tariq will shift massively in the next show and start something fresh. Idk which characters from here will make it there. But I know they won’t kill Brayden or Cane as there’s too much interest in these characters to be apart of more. I think everyone we have known In ghost is either going to jail or dying so that this chapter can be closed and the next one can open on a new chessboard with new characters and problems for Tariq and hopefully Brayden.
I think they got ghost to come back to the show and will reveal him in the last episode saving Tariq and bringing him full circle as Ghost 2.0
I’m sure there is more in store for tariq whether he gets another spin off or moves to force or maybe they make a new spinoff basically combining force and ghost into one new show who knows but I don’t see this being the last of tariq and like Courtney kemp said she had a big shift planned around season 5, if she was still the show runner and we were still getting more seasons I’m sure that season 4-5 would be the last seasons of college and probably most of if not all of the tejadas gone, so I’m hoping this is just the end of one chapter for tariq (dealing with college and the tejadas) and the next can be him fully in the life and have him work more on his own with maybe just brayden as opposed to taking orders from monet and having to worry about which one of her kids will try to kill him or set him up that day 😂
It would make sense for another spin off because after all this whole season is gonna see Tariq basically build his own organization/crew to take down Noma,The Tejada’s,and Effie it would be a waste if they build his whole story up for that just to kill off everyone by the series finale theres definitely gonna be a twist in the final episode that sets up for a new series revolving around him,the club,and streets like we saw in power but this time he might be on his own
Hate to break it to you but if you read the episode descriptions you’ll see the war is only going to go on for 3-5 episodes at most, the descriptions for episode 3 and 4 confirm that monet finds out the kids set her up and that it wasn’t tariq once the truth is revealed there’s no reason to have a war, secondly episode 6 says tariq and brayden have to get back in nomas good graces and by episode 7 it is confirmed that tariq is working with the tejadas again (mind you he could start working with them even sooner like episode 4 or 5 but 7 is the first episode that mentions him and the tejadas working together) the description for episode 9 also says that tariq and monet are sent on a seemingly simple mission meaning again they’re working together. On top of that cane and dru are mention all the way until episode 8 and monet is mentioned in episode 9 Diana is last mentioned in episode 6 so even if any tejadas do die based on the timing tariq won’t be killing any of them because he’ll be working with them by episodes 6-7 and the soonest we could see a tejada die would be Diana in episode 6. They’re really hyping up this war when in reality I guarantee you by episode 5 if not episode 4 the war will be over

In my opinion going away from the street aspect would be a huge mistake. Myself and 90% of the REAL fans gravitated towards that. Yeah it sounds nice but who would want to watch Tariq get finessed left & right when he was just a murderer

Riq as a lawyer or politician would be perfect. Keeping him in the streets doesn't seem like a natural progression of this story. His father kept him in the best schools. It's only right he elevated to white collar crime! Then eventually legit. But to keep him selling drugs is CRAZY and backwards. Redundant even.
Now that 50 cent has his own studio in Louisiana, I would not be surprised if Tariq leave NY and go to Los Angeles.

I always felt that with Tariq they could spin his story, to where he could have been a lawyer or been associated with law because he grew up in private schools so he was more of a natural in the boardroom and men in suits.
That or he could have gotten into politics to embody what his dad tried to do. Then he truly would be “the manifestation of what he could never be.”(Ghost Season 1)

Of course they won’t just focus on dems or republicans but the pursuit of power along with the corruption that goes along with it. Assassinations, death, sex, law enforcement, drugs can all ultimately be lead back to the streets because the politician being focused on has connections to it and utilizes it as a way of rising to the top. It can be quite intriguing if written and produced well.
Edit: it can be what OG power was but on a greater scale. It will just involve some political talk which could be interesting on its own if written well
