I love Felix's style and his approach. Whenever I get stuck because of my inner critic and the joy evaporates, I always go back to his books and his Domestika course and he gets me going again and I rediscover the joy and love of creating. He's unique. Thank you Felix!
This is super inspirational. I found out about Felix just last night via Sketch Book Sckool and I have to say he’s one the most real, enthusiastic and exciting artists I have come across so far on my artistic journey!
Excellent channel, excellent content, thank you for the very inspirational & interesting content and interviews. Much appreciation from a new urban sketcher in Dublin Ireland 👍🙏😊
Thanks for another opportunity to listen and learn from Felix. I'm an all time fan of his art and philosophy, and I've read his books online but couldn't believe my library would not have his books so I bought them in hard cover too! Great tips and advice here. Joining his workshops is a dream, and I hope Felix would make it come true soon in any online platform. I'm still keeping an eye on Domestica Felix ;)
Thank you Carmel! I think it's very inspirational to just sit with an artist's work for an hour or so and really take it in--absorb it. At least, it is for me :)
Thank you so much for such an interesting, inspiring and thought-provoking video. I have been considering illustration for a while and now feel very enthusiastic, especially as I love sketching. This will help me take my ideas to a whole other level!
Thanks Felix. I've always been afraid to make a mess. I'm learning not to worry, and people say they like it!!! I'm shocked and having fun too. Thanks for opening up the way.
This artist is amazing! I liked his books Dare to Sketch and Urban Watercolor Sketching very much. I'll remember that "spitting" trick. LOL. Thanks for doing this interview.
I draw from life and photographs. Both feed and inform each other. Don't throw a tool out of the toolbox. We can't all travel to exotic places and see interesting things and people to draw. I take photographs on my travels off the beaten track and get infintesimal milage out of them for months when I get home. There is no right or wrong. Do what you like. Drawing from life is much more challenging and rewarding, but not such fun when you can't travel and you get tired of drawing the same old places close to home! Interesting that he denounces using photographs for reference material here, while he actively uses them on his Domestika course - a curious inconsistency. Also curious that he laughs so lightly about spitting onto his pictures, while later talking very seriously (if possibly misinformed and inaccurately) about health matters. Surely he would consider that spitting onto pictures would constitute a potentially lethal biohazard for his customers - remember The Name of the Rose?
I looove Felix’ art, even his personality. And I like this interview and channel. But I think it could use a better quality microphone for higher quality sound. A waste, that we (or is it just me?) hear only half the story, literally.
Love your interviews but please please Please can you get a decent microphone. Your channel has the worst sound quality on UA-cam. Sorry but someone needs to say it. It’s not a pleasant listening experience. Thank you.
Hi Iain, thank you for your feedback. Is the sound quality problem happening when I am speaking or when my guest is speaking or both times? Is there a brand of microphone that you would recommend?
@@Studio56forCreatives , hi there, It’s mainly your sound, but depends on your guests set up too. The interview with Felix was very echoey on your side and slightly less from his side. Sounds like you are using the mic on your computer. Can’t really recommend a brand but any external mic would probably sound better. Sorry if I came across as rude, not my intention. It’s just difficult to listen all the way through sometimes, which is a shame because it’s awesome content. X
Hi @@iaincraig4871 , no worries. I had a mic attached to my headset but it is entirely possible that I forgot to turn it on! I'm going to pay more attention to sound quality in my next video, I promise. Thanks for speaking up :)
finally somebody speaking some good, plain english and not those horrible american or british accents ;) I love Felix books. Felix and Danny Gregorys books helped me to start drawing again, more or less. Still struggling a little bit.

LOVED this interview. Felix, your art is so fun and vibrant. And your laughter and "I SPIT on it!" was my favorite part of the video.

Felix's work is so fun and happy! So expressive.

Went to Berlin for the first time in February and saw Berlinerdom! Love your interpretation
Thanks Felix. I've always been afraid to make a mess. I'm learning not to worry, and people say they like it!!! I'm shocked and having fun too. Thanks for opening up the way.
Love the energy Felix has! Definitely going to buy his book ❤️
I really loved your book, Dare to Sketch! It helped me to start when I was afraid!
Thank you 🙏
I'm sure @FelixScheinberger would be really happy to hear that :)
Your are extremely skilled at this. He stood there infront of your viewers more real than the people in his drawings.
This was fantastic!!! Thanks for bringing it to us!!!

Yes, please!🤞
I LOVE this guy! So much!
He is amazing! We love him too!
The Moscow sketch is of two young women who went to the church and asked to be married, and the priest saw them off the premises :)
So inspiring !!
Love Felix!! 💜
I had to like this video the moment he said he spits on his art! 😄
