As an Orix fan, I can assure you that even though Miyagi had more losses than wins, many of the fans know that it’s because of no run support. The Orix nonexistent offence this year was so ridiculous. When the last match got cancelled midway causing Miyagi to be unable to meet the minimum innings pitched, I honestly cried for him. The Orix batters were so bad during the season, often becoming out in just a few pitches but of all days, they decided to keep fouling pitches on that day in the hope of getting on base which caused the game to progress very slowly and it was raining and eventually the match was cancelled midway because of rain. Tbh after Orix had a large lead early on in the game and it’s Miyagi pitching, I think the batters should have prioritised progressing the game faster because it was raining and there’s a high chance the match will get cancelled midway because of rain and they knew Miyagi needed to get more outs in order to meet the minimum innings pitched to get the ERA title. It was revealed afterwards that one of the coaches had told the players “since it’s the last match, could you at least try and prolong your at bat and get on base”. It’s ironic that of all days, they decided to work harder on the one day where Miyagi needed them to be quick outs rather than give him more run support.
The Orix offense made the team so unwatchable in 2024. Massive disappointment for fans. The bats need to step up this upcoming season if they want to keep fan morale up
@ I happened to look up Orix’s past pennant positions and noticed that most of the years they were in the bottom three except for the years when they had good batters so I think until the next good batter(s) appear, it’s gonna be difficult for Orix to be in the top 3 positions. When I started watching them in 2021, I immediately noticed their offence was very lacking compared to other teams.
One inning. One inning more and he would have won the ERA title. Their pitching looks like it's going to be absolutely filthy across the board next season, but the hitting was so inconsistent you could never figure out whether they were contenders or not. After the Yokohama series during interleague, they were untouchable, but after the all-star break they forgot how to hit until the end of August. If the hitters can be more consistent this season, they'll definitely be contenders.
Where is Daichi Ohsera? He made a great comeback this season and was Sugano's level... Also no Tokoda, no Morishita, what's your problem with the Carp? They were leading the league until their disastrous september, and their starters were a big part of it.

As a swallows fan this was very painful to watch
As a carp fan this was also very painful to watch
@Nationals2029 as a fellow nationals fan watching all my teams play is very painful to watch

I’m a pacific league watcher, but I appreciate Carps from central league. I was hoping for them to win this year :(
Osera has a much worse xFIP and K-BB% than Sugano.
That makes Ohsera more clutch in his groundballs...
