Hi everyone! We're so excited about our new aria project! We've already released three videos on our other channel, Brooklyn Classical, but we wanted to share this one with you here. If you enjoyed watching, please head over to Brooklyn Classical (ua-cam.com/users/brooklynclassical) and subscribe there to be notified of more classical releases. And, if you're a cellist or pianist, we've published our arrangements for all of the arias. The sheet music is available here: bit.ly/2NwdFPa
Great to hear about the aria project... Wondering if you had considered performing the timeless classic by Erich von Korngold: "Glück das mir verblieb" from "Die Tote Stadt"... Would be lovely to hear it in a Piano-Cello duet...
hello. Im trying to purchase the sheet music. And every time I go to pay after putting my information in it says "something went wrong, please try again. I have tried 3 times now and it kept saying the same thing. I do not have a PayPal account and I said that while purchasing. I hope each time this showed up it did not charge my card. If it did that is $60 dollars gone. Please let me know another way I may purchase this. In particular, I'm only looking for the sheet music for Nessun Dorma, I do not need the others. Thank you
Totally agree and especially his final performance at the Opening Ceremony of the Torino 2006 Winter Olympics (does not matter that it was pre-recorded due to his illness).
Marnie & Patrick you are the personification of Love. We can see how you both are experts in playing your instruments in your facial expressions and body movements . All this is mirrored in each piece you play. Marvellous
I can remember being about 6 years old the first time I can remember hearing this song performed , it was on PBS program called "The Three Tenors" and the wonderful and super vocally powerful Luciano Pavarotti was performing this, and I remember seeing my mother get up and turn the volume up on his magnificent performance. So high in fact that she actually blew one of the tv speakers, and it has been my favorite operatic song since then. I have probably heard it performed a thousand times, both vocally and by instrumentalists such as you. And I can say now that your performance was spectacular! Thank you so very very much for sharing this with the world.
Bravo. The way the two of you communicate your passion for the music and each other makes this aria even more special. May that passion be with you both for the rest of your days.
Praise The Lord for the wonderful gifts that you have. You played this piece magnificently. It was breathtaking especially when the choir( Marnie) sings before the tenor or soprano (Patrick) comes back in. It is one of the most magnificent moments in music and then the ending reminded me of a symphony many years ago with Zhuben Meta conducting and the pianist ending exactly together like you two did. You took my breath. Hallelujah!
this is OUTSTANDING... I have never heard this piece done other than being sung. The dynamics you two expressed throughout this performance are simply incredible - I became overwhelmed... A standing ovation without a doubt. Simply incredible xoxo
Music school allows me to appreciate Patrick's intonation so much more than I even used to. It's not the easiest thing in the world, but he sure makes it look like it is!
Bravo Marnie & Patrick. A lovely arrangement of this favourite aria; you both really evoked the tenderness and the powerfulness at the core of this piece. Many thanks and all best wishes to the four of you :) Love from Mary, Dublin, Ireland
I am so very glad to have found your channel. I love how you two make these instruments speak to me. I am looking forward to more from Brooklyn Duo. Duets, solos, and small orchestrations. You both make a beautiful couple and family which helps to enhance my listening pleasure.
Amei amei estas duas versoes italianas nas mãos e do coração do duo Broonklyn. Os acordes finais de Nessun Dorma devem ter feito Pavorotti sorrir. Abraços.

Question is this in the original key?
There's such joy in them when they play. It's beautiful to see people who found what they were meant to do in life.
I feel that too!
It is indeed. They are so wonderful together
"Where words fail, music speaks."
And you made those instruments speak with that delightful sound.
I completely agree!
- Hans Christian Andersen
Each time I listen to this aria, Pavarotti's voice came to my mind
RIP Pavarotti...
It IS his song. And for the bar he set on his performance, he will be remembered for decades or centuries
Nessum Dorma is Pavarotti's signature.
same
