Good people attract others of the same caliber. You're one of the good ones, Jay...keep winning!
Great to meet you sir!! The wife is excited to fix the yard now lol
Well ! I’m just like that stubborn sprocket ! I don’t want to get out of bed till I warm up a little bit before I move too !! 😂😂😂😂
I typically work 7 12’s, happen to have today off (Sunday) I wrench on heavy equipment in Alaska and here I am, on my day off watching other people work on equipment.
Sounds like Dean is one awesome guy.
great stuff Jeff!! Sons and friends willing to help can't be bought! looking for more.
22mins of warm, then 1 tap, awesome.
Jeff, I'm glad you look at the sky and know what you're seeing. Let people believe what they want.
Nice to have friends like that!.. For a quick fix on the light plant, any commercial electrical supplier should have the lamps you need. In the long term, I would ditch the MH lamps. They are expensive and don't hold up to vibration. I would look into converting to LED. Instant on. They don't have to cool down to relight and they put out more light....
It allways amazes me just how different the UK construction industry is. Even our JCBs are quite different.
You guys say jcb and we say backhoe correct?
DP Mike changed his light tree over to LED's and is very happy with the result. Great video as always bro. Safe travels. Ken.
Yes, I agree, changing it over to LED is the way to go!
Looks like you had fun running that Cat never met Dean but his brothers are the best group of Men you can have as freinds thanks for the video
You got that right!
During this video, I saw a shot of Gallatin Valley and the Bridger Range. We have farmed and Ranched there for 5 Generations and still do. Stop in for a Beer next time! (or soda)
Well, let's see now. A new to You D11, a new trailer to haul it on set up for push-pull using Ol' Kenny and the Green Truck. Probably use the detachable neck to haul the blade. Going to have to have both the Galion cranes to pick that blade.... Aaah hell Jeff, this is starting to sound a little pricey !
I've been enjoying the track frame job alot more than some people i'd guess.
Thank You for Your content. Yes, Jeff always wins.
Best Wishes to everyone at Anderson Construction.
Well done Jeff ,you have some very good people helping and giving advice
Vapor trails.Jet engines create lots of heat and its cold up there...like -20 or more. hot air meets cold air and it vapors and freezes just like when you are breathing on a cold day. The only chemicals are Carbon Monoxide and water. Jet mechanic for 40 years.
There will always be those that claim it is the Gummint poisoning us with chemicals disguised as Contrails (Chemtrails).
No point In arguing. The dumb will always believe what they want. The last 10 years have been a psych experiment on the American people.

Yes. Jet pilot for 38 years.
I had Holt Cat come out to fix the seal in my D9H years ago. They brought a 50 ton and couldn't budge it. Came back the next day with a 100 ton and got it off.
50 ton for D7G.
@@sharonfieber6458 I figured they just wanted to charge double travel time :)
Always enjoy your videos, JPaydirt!
Lucky to have Dean Jeff
You’re right, rarely one person knows it all
Hence i say, real lucky to have Dean right there…All of a sudden ‘magic tricks’ come by, and timely so
Well done‼️🥂
Not your everyday story…but when it happens, it helps stacks with someone like Dean close by. Treasure him.
Wish you well with the rest of the process
Need a BUNCH of patience and careful workmanship
Somehow, ‘Jeff wins’ reverberates…❗️
REALLY enjoyed the video
Gotto get Dean a few cases of ice cold beer of good Californian wine‼️🥂

G'day Jeff,
Really cool vid ,
Bet lots of the faithful have been waiting to see that all come together for you .
So , another win for
Mr Paydirt.
Looking forward to all the upcoming jobs ,
So bring it on .
Respect....!
Glad you got a chance for a mental break. Sometimes you have to walk away from something. Then you come back to it and things start coming back together for you. One thing about the old Cats is unless you actually break the main structure it's not a a limit on rebuilding it. Always enjoy someone saving a great piece of equipment.
Hey Jeff, I just finished up my first level of apprenticeship here in canuckistan 🇨🇦
We learned all about calculating these types of situations
let’s take your hypothetical 5in piston on your tool
To get the area we’ll do
pi x radius squared
Radius= 5/2= 2.5in
3.14x2.5inx2.5in = 19.625in sq
Pressure x area=force generated
10,000psi x 19.625in sq.= 196,250lbs of force acting on that sprocket
A+
Hopefully Ol' Kenny will be the next project. I know a lot of us have been itching to see him make a comeback 😁
you live in beautiful country...I used to pick up potatoes there in B.F. back in the 80's
Great work Jeff I admire the way you deal with Kno Alls worldwide but Jeff wins LOL !!
Jeff,
this must be one of the very best postings you’ve done yet
Without good People, our Lives will have very little meaning or value…purpose, really
Great following your stories
Even with this ‘line boring’ Guy, you seem to dig out the most amazing people on the Planet : never say ‘no’ or ‘its tóó big’ or ‘tóó difficult’ or ‘too much of an effort, trouble!’
Also, the hours on that CAT D11 must truly be solid proof of how good CAT Equipment really is if you take good care of them and operate properly and with good sense and sensitivity
(like they (‘the machines’) are alive and have a Heartbeat of their own…kind of thing?)
Thank you again
• The other day i had a strange thing happen: i looked at massive US Potatoe growers and recognized their starage bunkers (‘cellars’)
I recall you did some site prep and levelling at a similar contract
I’m going to look up their detail again and see if perhaps, by coincidence, these are’nt the same people❓
• My world is a much better and more meaningful place, since i’ve met you and started following your channel and Mr Griff (😳‼️)
I’d like to underline that and thank you kindly for great influence and fun, impact
Love your dry sense of humour and excellent work ethics
You go well in the meantime…

You should be able to get the metal halide lamps at an electrical supply house such as Platt but you can also remove the ballast and hook power directly to the lamp socket and use a modern LED lamp in those nowadays.
Dirt perfect swapped out for the LED light panels on one of these
@@russellsmith3825 Yes, but you can also just get LED bulbs that screw in the same old socket, quick and easy
@@nspro931 pretty cool
@@nspro931 where?
@@stirlingfromla I use Platt electric supply, they have a good catalog for searching retrofits
Jeff you seem very humble and very wise Jeff wins through perseverance
Awesome show, thanks Jeff 🍻🇦🇺
Great video Jeff always enjoy watching you work on your D9. Glad with some helpful tips to get that sprocket off. Looking forward to your next video stay safe Jeff.
Ran a carrydozer once….highlight of my life…hit a loose fill with a 11r and let er eat and looked Jason k on there to the moon franky vid….nothin like the 11…575 but only saw 1 round here and wasn’t on a job we worked on
Jeff and the hammer man, that sprocket never had a chance !
Great video as usual. Good work noting the people that help you along the way
Awesome video Jeff. Awesome content. Glad you had a good trip. 👍
Mr dirt thank you for the videos and all the time you spend editing glad you had some time off with friends ,hoping for you and yours a good year and as always i enjoy the sounds and smells be well and take care
With good friends helping, much success should come your way.
That's the way to do it! Ave sent me here.
Be nice to see Jeff running that 11 with a blade on it. Just think of the holes he could dig. Old Kenny would need a few more kitties under the hood to move it though
He could bury like two years of the animal shelter products.
Love that country up there where you live. Spend 4 months capping a mountain near soda springs, Daggerson mine I believe. Would love to live up there. The trout fishing is spectacular!!❤️
Those 9gs are good running dozers, you have a good dozer operator on one they'll move go s of dirt
parked behind your building. The orange lawn tractor with the orange soft cabin and snow blower. It looks like a AC 720 or Simplicity 9020 with optional rear drive tires. Simplicity manufactured it and hung different tin with different color paint to be sold under different names. Allis Chalmers purchased the company for a while before the employees bought it back. The Briggs and Stratton bought it along with Snapper brand. They pulled the plug on both companies recently.
It's my youngest son's, it's branded a Case 😂
we ran 40.000 PSI of metal pressure on our DCM machines for aluminum squeeze which required 2500 tons of clamping pressure to hold the die halves together....but I done forgot bout all that....psi is a diff animal when u get up in the digits and dangerous...Great Vid
239,000 hours is a long time!
It's nearly 28 years working 24/7 365 days a year!
D11 introduced in 1984 so Dean's must be an early model.
He'd have been a young guy when he started working on it.
Amazing longevity, guess that's why people buy Cat.
Not longevity, the ability to rebuild and parts available
Definitely enjoyed thx Jeff keep the videos coming
Always heat from the outside in, if you heat the inside the metal fights to expand against the cooler metal outside causing the inner bore to contract.
Different altitudes! You conspiracy guys!
Light plant bulbs can be purchased at most any electrical supply, take the old one with you to match it up. I would guess 400 watt metal halide or high pressure sodium.
Heating by the outside diameter allows more metal surface to expand,so letting more room for the inner diameter to go towards the outside diameter.
Great video 👍 Great to see paydirt have fun in someone else's sand pit 😅
Great Video thank you for making them 👍😊
You do awesome work Jeff!
It is just something about running big equipment. There is nothing like it!!!!!!!!!
Great video MR JEFF.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Led lights on the plant, and she be lighting up the moon
Less fuel cost as well because of the reduced load! Bulb cost will probably be higher though!
Holy shit take the nut off? where did they learn that? Damn them sprockets can get on there. I have never done a D9 of any variety. A bunch of smaller tractors and a few 8's. and a 983 which is a big assed hunk of iron. . All I remember about the 983 (it was 30+years ago) the stuff was heavy and it took all of the 100 ton service press and a few well placed blows from a 20 pounder to get the sprocket hub to let go. The old timers always told me to and I believe the service manual will tell you splines go back together dry. Yer gettin ''er Jeff one bite at a time.
Big job! Need to send a td15 your way lol
Kyle Fisher is an awesome young man, he could probably machine the parts you need to reinstall the gear! Too bad its 120 miles down here to Tree Town..
Awesome video Jeff!
Great video 👍🏻🇺🇲
Thanks 👍
When you use that Hydraulic Cylinder in the pull function, you have to subtract the area of the rod from the area of the piston to calculate the force of 10KPSI applied to the system. The oil pressure can't get applied to the piston under the rod in the pull direction, for those that missed Hydraulics class. You do use the full area of the piston in the extension direction.
Yes
We use those light plant the ones with bulbs are crazy expensive the guys in the shop are switching them out to LED they are better and cheaper
I guess there's some science in not just heating the centre. If you do tha the bulk on the outside doesn't expand and in effect the centre can only move inwards and so tightens the grip rather than loosening it.
You're right about leaving the nut on. I saw a video of a small traxcavator sprocket flying several feet when it finally let go.
Jeff wins anyway!!
Thanks for sharing 👍🏼
Well not all contrails/chemtrails are coming from the engine exhaust. Some planrs have the fixed nozzles on the wings. The trail is wider and turns to a cloud rather than dissappear like contrails.
So? ... paper towels... 🤔 humm, how can I say this without getting into trouble 🤔
🤬 I can't ... so here ' goes.... the wife stole a case of my shop towels. After one of my surgeries the wife broke into my parts room, looking for something, and found my SHOP towels. Lets skip forward till a few weeks ago. She asked where I got the BLUE paper towels because they worked much better than the white ones for her projects. Then she informed me that SHE had ran out and WE needed more. 🤯
🤦😶😒😣😫😫🤬 and that's all I'm going to say about that.
You might be able to buy a direct wire LED bulb to replace the Metal Halide, either will be available at a good electrical supply house near you. Take the bulb in, don't touch the new bulb with your skin or get any oils on it, causes them to burn out faster; LED don't care about that so much. Check the voltage the machine is supplying to the lights if you want to change to direct wire; not sure if that is 3 phase, 1 phase 110 or 220volt but that will tell them the right bulb to order if you want to change it over. or just look at a whole new light head $$. The bulbs wont be so bad, new head cost quite a bit more but getting better all the time, or inflation is just making it seem like it isn't so bad. one of those.
Mr Dirt no disrespect just don't you want to replace the Gears or Cogs on the Drive Wheel while it's Off ?? Great work I've learned a lot watching you ! ☮ 🍁
I thought he'd said that would be happening along with the new tracks
I didn't see any metal when I drained it
@@Jpaydirt hey up mate I think he is talking about the drive sprocket
ohh the sprocket segments, yes I have new ones
You are pretty tough for an old guy!

Git-R-Dun Jeff!
Nothing like the mic clipping of a d11 at full chooch!!
ChatGPT is great for simple applied physics, got me through college 🤓. Cloud seeding has been around for hundreds of years. We are now doing chemtrails, aka crop dusting, with drones 😂. I know because I do it😅
5" bore @10,000 psi would be 98 tons 5.25 is 108.
maaaaan thats big iron whew ! i saw the gear jump! nice! are ya doing the other side ?
thank ya for the video Jeff
Just an fyi, those planes are thousands of feet apart vertically, they are both in extremely different temperatures, and both creating vastly different amounts of horsepower AKA heat..
Those special stands you are using with the D9. Are there D10 or D11 certified or did they need maybe another decade of development?
They can also double as a heat source. Though that would be a one time use, without a high BTU output due to their composition.
Awesome dozer. Did you ever operate a LeTourneau loader? There pretty sweet too❤
Jeff I work for an electrical supply house and we can’t get then. Check with the folks that sell or rent the light towers. If I am not mistaken is 690 0r 940 what MH lamp
Chemtrails huh... I lost one spray emitter the other day at TOD going into PHNL, there's no MEL relief and MX couldn't fix it so YSSY cxld. The worst part is the airline isn't getting paid for spraying that leg and since its international thats even more $$$... bummer 😮
I'm sure you know this, but don't touch those lights with oily hands. They won't last long.
Would love to see you own that D11 brother
I can’t wait for fire season and ran the fire dozer it’s been too long!
Can those old bulbs be converted to LED?

How does this work? Spend your time working on equipment old equpiment, or running newer equipment to break even?
aweson cat d11r is a monster dozer
I think dirt perfect change his light bar over to let's. Kind think u won't find arc lights? If u do I suspect it will cost a lot
So where do you park a D10/11 any where you want!😂😂👍🏻
WOW Jeff, you sure got the tin foil hat crowd stirred up. My advice to you is to buy some in stock Reynolds and Duct tape, prices will be going up.

It’s another prime example of the Dunning-Kruger effect, wherein people are actually so ignorant that they don’t realize that they’re ignorant, thus even w/ out having any significant expertise in a particular subject matter, they still believe that what little they may think that they know actually allows them to opine across a broader set of topics/subjects… it’s the core principle at work when attempting to educate these same simpletons - they can’t even comprehend that they’re not as knowledgeable as they’ve come to think they are….
