As a former teacher who worked with Trans kids your concern is getting them an education not whether or not they want to use a different name or pronoun. If I understand this correctly, they said "identity change", this means if a kid tells a teacher about having gender dysphoria, the teacher can't rat out the kid to its parents, kind of like a therapist, I suspect the idea is to encourage honesty and communication about topics commonly avoided with parents.

To me, this law isn't bad. If a kid was born a boy but now identifies as a girl, they just want their privacy respected. This law is basically an anti-bullying law (at least the way I see it) and won't have teachers going around saying, "Yeah, she used to be a boy", because we all know that will lead to the kid being targeted.

As far as im aware children in texas can be trans, they just cant legally fly it under the parents radar, which is a good thing. So let’s say the parents are abusing the child, should the school inform the parents instead of the police? You need to remember there is never an absolute, there are always exceptions. Doing what is right for the child should always be the priority.

Trans people are targeted for being who they are. They are at a much higher risk than the general population to commit suicide because of how they are treated by others. Outing such vulnerable people to their parents without their consent is like outing Jews to Nazis. In matters related to personal safety, trans kids can decide for themselves if it is safe to tell their parents. There is probably a massive safety reason why trans kids or adults may not be telling their parents or acquaintences of their identity.

As for the question of whether I still vote blue or red:
I've spent 1/3 of my life in Asia and another 1/3 in Canada. Got to be involved with many idealogies and I never consider myself left or right leaning. Both sides have huge flaws but both sides genuinely want to do good for the country. This reflect on all the people I meet on different states as I love road tripping. I don't see horns on people just because they side with one group or another. Very few times do I come across extremists, and it doesn't matter which side they're on by that point. Being old means I got to study history a lot, and the bad actors in leadership were never exclusive to one side of the aisle.
Having said all that, I firmly believe that I'm not indoctrinated just as you are not indoctrinated, and most of us here aren't. We have an opinion but we have to assume that others aren't speaking out of malice, and it's better to see similarities between us so that we can work together to rid of the systemic issues of our government. They're setting up a game for us to criticize each other so that they can exercise corruption in broad daylight. We fiercely say "my color is the right one" to the point where we are willing to omit the terrible issues our side is doing.
Which side is right? The side that isn't running up a deficit to the point of bankrupting the country, for starters. We're in bigger trouble than we think, and we gotta go back to having proper primary elections where we don't get to choose our presidential candidates from each side of the aisle, or have the strength in numbers to bring a third party into the system. Hey I don't have the solution, I'm just here to rant. :)

Intense indoctrination in public schools leads to naive children making choices they regret as adults. Parents have a right to know before they are convinced into irreversible operations. Parents need to know in order to help their child from being manipulated into decisions they will regret.
Newsom tries to turn it around and claim he is the one protecting the children from the parents. But remember Newsom is the one who made it a crime for doctors to speak freely with their patients about their health.
If you really care for your children, you'll get out of California before they begin school. We don't put up with that BS in Florida, and you're welcome here as long as you don't bring any liberal politics with you.
