Java has a way bigger moding community and had some advantages such as changing versions. But bedrock renders way better, allowing for a smoother gameplay. So both have their advantages and disadvantages. It's best just to accept both as what they are, and not which one is better than the other
I like Bedrock because it is more optimized and you can have play with other players on different devices. However, I also like Java because there are more features, there are less bugs (at least from what I’ve experienced), and Java looks and feels different than Bedrock even though they’re almost the same. This is all just my opinion.

Java focuses on single player, but if you want to play with some friends on Java you might as well throw your pc in the garbage. You need a server just to play together on Java, but bedrock doesn’t have a lot of the features Java has.

I never understood why people always disagree on which version is better. I play both and it is obvious that each version has its own pros and cons, I personally think that java is better for development (mods, commands, etc) while bedrock is available across many platforms which allows friends to play with each other. I just think that the mc player base shouldn't be divided just because of the platform they play on.

Well I have played both and in summary accounts Java is more technical, comfortable and above all more freedom in many, Bedrock is more physically realistic since it has more logic, more open to the public on several platforms and has a market for skins, packs, worlds etc so I go crazy with both.

I have shaders and it’s true but at the same time not true because some times my Minecraft LaGsS super bad and I have to wait for like three or two minutes and I go like at four FPS but it’s ok :)
That is true, and while java is superior in terms of community (mods, texture packs, shaders, all for free) bedrock will always be the good backup version for when you just want to play some Minecraft with friends without making custom servers and port forwarding.

Imo I hate that instead of creating a “master” version of Minecraft, they’re just letting Java and Bedrock compete with each other. Like they COULD have made it so that Bedrock can have free mods and texture packs like in Java, but they decided to have a marketplace instead, and they could’ve optimized the render distance and added native RTX to Java, but instead they made those features exclusive to Bedrock (though fortunately these can be replicated with mods). Imo they should have focused on making Bedrock the definitive version of Minecraft instead of a downgraded version since it can be ported across platforms and let Java remain as a legacy version of Minecraft, which would mean Java modders wouldn’t have to worry about future updates making their mod incompatible anymore.

Java's controls are much easier, Java has raytracing, Java has previous MC versions, easy-to-install mods, easy shaders, resource packs that are 3D, resource packs that completely change mobs, tonnes of extra features and controls not available on Bedrock, hacking clients, sodium/optifine clients, it's easier to make YT videos on Java, and so much more. The only things bedrock has are purchasable maps (which is not that good, as Planet Minecraft exists with lots of maps), better ability to cross play, some unique features Java doesn't have, and better optimization. If I missed features for either, let me know. Logically, Java is better. The only thing people argue about is their subjective views, which shouldn't be the base of an argument.

He himself had trolled Bedrock several times like "There is a floor at the bottom of the void in bedrock" and "There are just random small water holes in Bedrock where you just fall and almost 20-30 or more drowned zombies summon and try to kill you." I've also seen many players die to these glitches. (Edit : In their 7-8 months old Hardcore world)

@@lakshyagupta3060 No need of downloading RTX, if you're on PC Bedrock edition already has an in game setting called "Ray Tracing". It is in game so it wouldn't lag at all and you can only find that in the video settings... But you need to be in a realm or world.

Well I have played both and in summary accounts Java is more technical, comfortable and above all more freedom in many, Bedrock is more physically realistic since it has more logic, more open to the public on several platforms and has a market for skins, packs, worlds etc so I go crazy with both.

Mc bedrock runs super smooth even if you are playing with shaders or rtx because it uses c++ code and used c++ just mc runs smoothly on mobile devices because not many mobiles can handle Java code
I have shaders and it’s true but at the same time not true because some times my Minecraft LaGsS super bad and I have to wait for like three or two minutes and I go like at four FPS but it’s ok :)

Just fun fact: Java have more shader, recource packs including growing mods, maps and data pack creator, on the other hand, bedrock have a behaviour packs to match data packs, however maps are paid like "wtf i alredy pay with all my salary for minecraft" and mods are extremely hard to find and install, also some great feature like crawling and ducking didn't exist

Yes we do have free add-ons, yes we do have tons of creative resource packs, yes they are all free. Looks like some idiots decided to hop on to bedrock for half a second before writing that comment. Marketplace is just Microsoft's add-ons, not the community's. You can find completely free add-ons on MCPEDL. Crawling and ducking do exist, just get in the swimming position first.

Also, people seem to think that add-ons and servers are actually a valid point in their argument, and that is completely false. These are community created, not tied with the real game itself, so they should not be counted. It is like saying that something is better than something else, only because of an entirely different thing. The point that "since Java has more mods and servers, this means it is better to mod" is false as well. Java runs on the programming language java, which is simpler and easier to program with, so many modders will understand how to mod in it, while bedrock runs on C++, which is more complex and complicated, but is better overall.

Imo I hate that instead of creating a “master” version of Minecraft, they’re just letting Java and Bedrock compete with each other. Like they COULD have made it so that Bedrock can have free mods and texture packs like in Java, but they decided to have a marketplace instead, and they could’ve optimized the render distance and added native RTX to Java, but instead they made those features exclusive to Bedrock (though fortunately these can be replicated with mods). Imo they should have focused on making Bedrock the definitive version of Minecraft instead of a downgraded version since it can be ported across platforms and let Java remain as a legacy version of Minecraft, which would mean Java modders wouldn’t have to worry about future updates making their mod incompatible anymore.
Java and bedrock are too different to merge them, plus both version have pros and cons theres no "downgrade"
And about the market place they implemented, i guess it's dumb of them to try to get money for more updates, they should stop that.

You CAN get free mods and texture packs like in java. The only thing different is bedrock has the OPTION of using the marketplace.

Genuinely curious, why does this debate even exist? Java's controls are much easier, Java has raytracing, Java has previous MC versions, easy-to-install mods, easy shaders, resource packs that are 3D, resource packs that completely change mobs, tonnes of extra features and controls not available on Bedrock, hacking clients, sodium/optifine clients, it's easier to make YT videos on Java, and so much more.
The only things bedrock has are purchasable maps (which is not that good, as Planet Minecraft exists with lots of maps), better ability to cross play, some unique features Java doesn't have, and better optimization. If I missed features for either, let me know.
Logically, Java is better. The only thing people argue about is their subjective views, which shouldn't be the base of an argument.

I played bedrock, but never experienced any bugs. I play it on my tablet and switch, even though I am a teenager. Java players need to stop insulting Bedrock players.
