Great Video very informative on various tactics and how they worked on the day, enjoyed it very much, thanks for sharing your knowledge of a great fishery..
Always enjoy your videos, great content and always well explained methods which is great for us beginners. You fish some stunning locations, looking forward to seeing some great new contenet - Thanks
Awesome stuff mate glad ur back, not been in stillwaters much myself this year either but lots of river fishing considering one is right next to my house :)
@@TheTroutFlyFisherman its great fun mate, was on my local river leven today where I shoot the few videos I have and even caught my first ever sea trout. Actually need to focus on stillwaters as signed up for burnhouse new charity competition lol just an excuse to fish it really
@@TheTroutFlyFisherman its a great spot, and definitely looks bigger than 2 acres, my first comp was there a few months ago I came in joint 6th place with 4 people lol was also last on the water as I hooked bow that took me to my backing 3 times and nearly emptied my reel.
Great video Chris, lots of smaller waters allow anchors, the Lake and Carron reservoir don’t. If you are on when it’s blowing a gale it’s not pleasant, especially as some anglers don’t care about cutting up your drift.
Yeah, It’s fun and games at menteith in the wind that’s for sure! I still can’t believe sometimes how bad people are when the lakes are so vast. Just a joke sometimes!!
Great couple of days at Menteith by the looks of it Chris. That 12” fast int. tip you used with the buzzers, do you count it down like a typical sinking line and then retrieve it slowly (obviously allowing for the drift of the boat?) Thanks again, great to see your vlogs back up on UA-cam
It was mate, really enjoyable! I was just keeping in touch with the line, so not counting down, just letting it get down as far as possible. It was calm, so we weren’t moving much at all which helped fish in this way. Thanks mate, appreciate it 👍🏻
Great video you are one of the few people who explain exactly what your doing. That makes your videos worth watching ,keep them coming
Cheers Michael - glad you enjoyed it. I’ve always tried to make it informative as I thought that was missing a lot too 👍🏻🎣

I definitely need to put it on the list to visit! I like the deer too!
Excellent, been waiting on a new video. 👍👌👌
Yeah it’s been a while, but the channel is back up and running now! 👍🏻🎣
@@TheTroutFlyFisherman Fantastic! Got my first fish on a washing line last week thanks to your video on it. 👌
👍🏻👍🏻 nice one, it’s a deadly technique and one I always fish with confidence!!
@@TheTroutFlyFisherman care to explain the stuffed Dinosaur in your box? 🤔🤔
Haha - that was my lucky mascot from my 3 year old boy!! It’s become a ritual when I go fishing, and can cause serious space issues in the box! 😂

About time 😂
Great video mate with loads of information.. would you use similar tactics on wild brownies?
Cheers mate. Yes if they were deep I’d use very similar tactics, but go with a smaller version of the humungous 👍🏻🎣
What rod are you using in this video please
Hi mate - was using both my vision onki rods (6 weight 9ft 6 and 7 weight 10ft) 👍🏻🎣

What make of rod were you using
Vision onki - use both a 6 weight and 7 weight of this rod in the video 👍🏻🎣
Great informative video as ever 👍 what brand of rod / reel combo do you use in this video ? Cheers .
Cheers Davy. I’m using 2 vision onki rods (a 6 weight and a 7 weight) with a hardy ultralite asr on each of them 👍🏻
@@TheTroutFlyFisherman cheers for replying , I wondered if it was a Sage or Vision rod , someday I’ll have me a Hardy reel 😁 all the best .
Finally back 😂 top video again. When we getting you to harelaw ?
Cheers Toby! Hope you are well. I know mate, it’s definitely on the to do list, just been mental busy. It WILL happen! 👍🏻🎣

Great venue shame about the boats
