Hey and thanks for your comment. Yes of course. The method of how unmanaged vs mamaged has moved to the assignment section after creating the policy. You must now use a filter to assign the policy to either unmanaged, managed or both.
      Hope that helps.

    Hi, I have a question
I have created app configuration policy which I only want to send to BYOD devices, but how can I make Intune distinguish between managed and unmanaged IOS devices?

Hi @amanakhauri4536. To target App Configuration at BYOD devices (devices which are NOT enrolled to Intune) please choose 'Managed Apps' when creating an App Configuration policy.
Depending on Operating System, it may be necessary to add a configuration key within the policy.
Feel free to email me directly for more info.

@@uemauthority Thanks for the explanation. I have the strange issue, that when I create a App protection policy for MAM, the "Device Types" is geyed out, no matter if I set "Target to apps on all device types" to Yes or No. I did a lot of research, but couldn't find any solution. Can you help me out here?

Microsoft recently changed how App Protection polices are targeted to device types.
You must use a filter at the assignment stage to determine whether the policy targets managed, unmanaged or both.
      Hope this helps
