I agree. Some of those Bond No 9 bottles looks like they were given to a 7 year old girl with access to a plethora of glitter, sequins, bows and a penchant towards My Little Pony rainbow colour schemes to be the creative director.

I hated the Bond No.9 bottles too and am the same way with fragrances 😆 I have to like the packaging or I'm going to have a hard time being interested. But Greenwich Village is BEAUTIFUL!! One of my absolute favorites ❤

Definitely agree about the importance of packaging! If I love a fragrance but hate the bottle, that’s when it’s an easy choice to just get the 10ml 🤣

I've been eyeing the 7th virtue. I smelled it at Sephora & couldn't quit smelling it on my wrist. I thought I would not like the sandalwood. But there's something I really like about it.
I agree about bottles, there’s a few where I love the juice so much that it is what it is. Kilian princess, I hate the bottle so much but the juice is so amazing

Whew, I’m late to the comments here! I really want to try Idole Aura, I never would have guessed something from Idole line would be appealing but it sounds lovely. Olympea did something crazy on my skin, I think it could have been the combination of the salt and green mandarine. Also love Greenwich Village and TriBeCa. Maybe I can find a decent Black Friday deal 🤞🏼

Idole Aura is more interesting and flirty, then Idole, and this is normally not my cup of tea type of fragrances. But its quite lovely actually 🌞

You should try lattafa ana abiyedh rouge. It’s more similar to baccarat rouge 540 extrait but I’m pretty sure you’ll enjoy it.

I have been saying the SAME THING about Santal Vanille!!! It is SO GOOD! And better than Vanilla Woods
Have you ever smelled TF Santal Blush? I had it but decluttered it a few months ago as I was going deeper and deeper into the rabbit hole of sandalwood forward frag discovery. That one was my first and I thought it was beautiful. Fast forward a few years, and after exposure to scents like Afinessence Santal Basmati or Atelier Materi Santal Blond, I suddenly felt like TF version was a bit too dry for me and also to my nose it was just straight forward sandalwood with no additional nuances. If you have smelled the TF frag, how would you compare it to the Santal Vanille by 7 Virtues?
if you think bourbon smells like spirituese, majestic woods from juicy couture also smells good. I LOVE bourbon and you're right, so perfect for layering!
Oh my gosh I haven’t tried that one, but out of the whole Juicy Couture line, that one looks the most intriguing! 👀👀

Have you tried vanilla woods from 7 virtues? How does santal vanille compare?
I have! They really don't compare at all, totally different! Vanilla Woods is a very sweet, feminine, powdery vanilla scent. It's good! There's no wood listed in the notes, but I get a slightly dirty wood note for the first 2 hours (which is why it's not full bottle worthy for me personally). I haven't heard anyone else mention that though and people really rave about it.
What is the performance on greenich village for you ? I can smell it on me , but I feel like it doesnt project like Tribeca at all ! Its almost like a skin scent
It's actually really good on me! It lasts all day and it has a nice sillage on my skin!

I feel your pain... What's worse is that moment when you realise the roller ball is not even rolling back 360 degrees to dip into the fragrance and back again to deliver it to your skin, but is instead making these futile, half-hearted, pathetic half revolutions that gives you the HOPE of fragrance delivery.

I'm so shocked that you think Santal 33 is more masculine! I'm a woman who wears it and I get sooo many compliments. My bf finds it so sexy on me. He says I'm not allowed to wear it when he isn't around cause he thinks men will be drawn to it.

yeah! If we're talking more beginner friendly fragrances, I'd recommend Kayali Vanilla 28 if you love vanilla, Prada La Femme for a classy, warm, slightly sweet option, Chanel Coco Mademoiselle Intense for something timeless, elegant, and warm, Chloe Nomade/Absolu (either one) for a classy, citrus, woody option, and Guerlain's Mon Guerlain for a feminine floral, lightly sweet signature scent ... to name a couple ;)

Bro I am so confused on why no one talks about Idole aura. I finally got it and it’s amazing but there’s almost no reviews on it and the fragrantica rating is rough I don’t get it

Can someone give me some perfume recommendations? I do not like floral scents. I prefer "food" or "sweet" scents. I've been trying for find some and have bought over 30 different samples and really only " liked" a couple. I also like coconut scents. The samples that I've kinda liked are Viva La Juicy Noir,Ariana Grande Sweet Like Candy, SOL Cheirosa ’62 Eau de Parfum. I also kinda liked Beyonce's Heat.I have yet to find a scent I LOVE. I have a budget of nothing over $100. I'm obviously not good at describing scents. I guess I tend to like "teen girl scents" if that makes sense.
I’m late answering but it sounds like you may have similar tastes to mine. All of the Ariana Grande fragrances, Idole Nectar, Cheirosa 62 Perfume, Replica Coffee Break, Kilian Princess, Kilian Angel’s Share, Kilian Apple Brandy, DKNY Be Delicious Fragrances… those are some of my thoughts… get lots of samples and try lots of scents in small sizes (microperfumes, scent box, etc) check out other fragrance channels for some that have similar tastes (if you haven’t found them yet maybe check out Ksenja and BohoGuru. I think they may be close to what you’re looking for
