I recall watching this GF in my parents' living room when I was 13, wearing my Richmond jumper with number 16 on the back. Back then, we had an old black n white TV, such a treat to watch it now in colour. Thanks for uploading.
Yes that's why I'm watching this game, because the modern version is so rubbish. I'd love to understand all the ways in which they've changed the rules over the years so that now we have players crashing into each other and jumping on top of the ball. It seems that holding the ball used to mean not getting rid of the ball immediately, where as now it seems like you can hold onto it without giving away a free kick, so long as you're on the ground with three other players on your back.

what a pleasure it is to watch the game the way it was designed to be played instead of the horrible scrambly rubbish played today

it was painful to sit through this game as a 16-year-old but Richmond just too good Hungry took us to the cleaners another Grand Final loss
Thank you.
My team wasn't in it, but some dead-set legends who deserve admiration.
I love these old broadcast. You've got the commentary on one side and the crowd on the other
thanks for this
Anytime is a good time to beat Collingwood
Isn't it good to see humans playing football and not robots
It's a shame the game became Netball where each team passes sideways to each other endlessly.
Thanks for the upload, do you have any other H&A games from 1980, they are as rare as hens teeth :)))
