I live in Australia and it may vary greatly depending on individual circumstances. However, in my opinion, Australia offers a good quality of life. If you have a stable job, you can enjoy a peaceful life without the daily struggles. There are no long queues, and issues like corruption and favoritism are minimal. With good employment, life here is generally problem-free. People are very honest, and the overall environment is positive. Of course, this is just my perspective, and others may have different opinions and viewpoints.
I am settled well in Australia as well. The decision to wrap up everything here and go back to India needs lots of courage.
Every kid has great opportunity to join Cricket clubs , football club, netball, basket ball etc in Australia. Australia not only has great infrastructure at every street and Suburb but its backed up by impeccable club level structure which is why it makes it one of the greatest sporting nations. I feel every parent must consider this aspect before moving back to India. It is just not possible in India (obviously bcos of population and lack of infrastructure ) for kids to get that exposure. Kids need to play sport in their growing ages, so it helps them in their overall development.
I am an Indian-Australian, currently living in Mauritius. I will say that Australia has contributed a lot to my life regarding money, education, and common knowledge. A few prerequisites are required to succeed in Australia, e.g., good English, and hands-on experience in the fields of mechanical engineering, medicine, machine operations, mining, etc. With due respect, Australia does not want people from the most white-collar jobs like finance, sales, and even IT, no matter how many degrees or how good experience these people have.

Yes they don't need white collar jobs thats true. Not much innovation and whatever there is filled with goras

Good decision - even a tier 3 town in India is better than living in Brisbane for your kids career and growth!

Hemant thanks for this initiative. I have slightly different circumstances but couldn't resist from commenting as I am also part of NRI Clan but I am very sure on one thing "SARE JAHAAN SE ACCHA HINDUSTAN HAMARA"
Myself living in Kuwait and realised that issues for NRIs are similar where ever we live ie. loneliness, limited social life, missing parents and relatives and craving for food and festivals and lastly no real purpose to keep moving ahead as we grow older.
I had to move to India twice by taking short careers breaks when parents needed me. But to my surprise kids adjust very well if you take care of small things like location of schools. Infact my son also feels that life is better in India as he has seen both sides of the world and currently in class 10 and studying in Kuwait.
Fortunately for the Gulf NRI the distance is not a problem as flights are 2 to 5 hours only and with affordable prices. Also we are lucky that we don't face any dilemma as we don't have any option of not returning as there is no "bondage" of any PR or citizenship.
But surely one thing we all in my family agree upon (even my son), have been witnessing the gradual positive shifts in infrastructure, connectivity (road, rail and flights), ease in banking and conveniences (Ola, Zomato, Amazon) attained by digitalisation of economy. LIFE IS INDIA HAS ITS OWN UNBEATABLE ADVANTAGES INSPITE OF ALL THE CONS. INDIA GIVE CHOICES TO MAINTAIN LIFESTYLE AS PER YOUR BUDGET. Medical expertise of doctors in India is worldclass !!!
Me and my family are eagerly waiting to return to India upon retirement. Surprisingly, my son wants to compete and complete his bachelors from India so that he will get fully accustomed to Indian circumstances and I am really surprised by his clarity of thought at this young age. Maybe kids too somehow are convinced that the opportunities will grow in India in coming decades. Thanks to youtube and social media that kids are able to make their own opinions today. ( Atleast social media too has some positive aspects.😂😂😂)

@@hemantaim I am placing long comment to share and express my own thoughts on this topic that might motivate a few aspring NRIs wanting to return to India but stuck in a dilemma of lifestyles issues and worrying too much for kids future.
Gone are the good olden days when just migrating abroad ensured a set life. Today people have to struggle and really work hard for successful careers everywhere due to large scale migration and inflation.
Trends are changing even for Gulf NRIs. Earlier people were simply dispatching kids to US, UK, Canada or Australia. But situation and circumstances are very much different today, each place has its own set of worries and struggle of unknown problems in unfamiliar sorroundings. So many uncertainties have the potential of leading to very scary and unpredictable outcomes.
Many parents are now slowly realizing that for Indians, perhaps India too is a very good option as support systems are much better in a familiar places.
Alien culture, cost of living , education loans, medical access, family value system and old age uncertainty are also important points to ponder apart from life style issues.
Conclusion : Time has come to realise that for Indians, India can be a very good option for a decent and balanced life.

@@hemantaim Certainly. One correction😂 I am not an NRI who didn't return but an NRI who has yet to return. But will surely return as one of my cousins in USA tried to highlight to me ki tere pass to India Jane ke siva koi option hi nahi hai. And I was thinking and laughing ki looks like tere pass to Lautne tak ka bhi option nahi hai😂😂😂😂.
On s serious note ....actually my point is that if one is really happy than why this comparisons during conversations on who has what option. Maybe it is a self assurance one tries to give oneself or perhaps there is some uncertainty looming in some corner of mind.....about future....
One piece of advice, coming from a NRI: If you have a PR in Australia, DONT ever choose to give it up and go back to India. You will be making the worst mistake.
Suggest you to first convert the PR into Aussie passport, get an OCI, then if you miss India, move there for a year or two, and see how things work for you.
Western passports are quite strong, so it gives you access to most parts of the world. So if you are smart, you can do a lot with it. Also, being Australian, you can have more than one passports. So, that can give you and your kids lot of advantages.
India is a struggle in itself. With the ever increasing population and the growing inter cultural animousity amongst indians, i only hope the country stays afloat.
Disagree! Australia, is in-fact, getting worse with time. Look at the legal system, police, jobs, taxation housing market - everything is a mess.
Take taxation into account for Australian passport. Even if you move to India, at some point in time - OZ govt would want a share of your taxes.

Australia's situation is currently bad. But doesnt mean its gonna be bad forever and turn itself into a 3rd world country. Eventually, their govt will realize the mistakes and will take steps to resolve them.
India is a ticking time bomb. Some of the problems are unsolvable by the country's design, and no govts can solve them. People are too cushioned by the fat salaries of their 'tech' jobs currently and dont think about the next 1 or 2 decades. Im pretty sure the parents can adjust, but they need to seriously think about their kids' future.
As for taxes, what benefit do you get in our current tax structure?
@@jeetlahkar894 Australia is any day better. Best Education in Public Schools @ no cost, Free Health care, Best Infrastructure, Law of the Land is for all, Low AQI as compared to India, secured future for the next generation.
Living in top Indian cities with good source of income, house help,service providers,easy availability of groceries and essential things at your doorstep with so many user friendly mobile apps,owning holiday home, relishing at multiple restaurants with local, national and international cuisines, homemakers run their cloud kitchen , impart tuitions offline and online bcoz of excellent and cheap internet facilities, best medical facilities, resorts,malls and entertainment all with UPI payment facility and most important family and connections easily available in India.Nowdays well to do ie (middle class onwards) Indians go abroad only for holidays and relaxation.
Only thing that bothers in India is lack of cleanliness in some areas disrespect for discipline on road,, crowded places,traffic jam, pollution in many areas.

I am in Melbourne for last 6 years and originally from Noida so I can very well relate to what all Gaurav is saying. Loneliness and robotic, monotonous life is definitely there, no matter how hard you try, you can't have a good social life and from that I mean, people with whom you can casually catch up, have a chat feel relaxed etc bcz everyone is so busy and like to keep things private. Only good thing is quality of life, pollution free environment, good universities for higher education, but as you age you do need a help at home, you do miss your culture, and luckily my kids are still an Indian at heart and love to visit India. We have decided we won't be spending our old age here, just waiting for kids to finish higher studies...

I appreciate your bold decision to come back to india. One point which you haven't discussed is the living standard, surely i feel Australian living standard is better than india

He is living in very good gated society so living standard is maintained but can't be compared as both countries has different geographical situations
I think another reason for coming back is a change in visa policy by the Aussies govt. All those who are 35 plus and have no PR, will be forced to leave Australia, they can't get admission in another course in any University from onshore. All these people have to re apply as a new candidate from offshore for further studies. A very big number of People are/will leaving/leave Australia because of the Govts.shrewd visa policy.

You didnt discussed about finance, and your job and work culture in india compare to australia.
Work culture sucks in India 💯. There is no doubt about it. So work culture wise Australia is better. But there is hidden racism to contend with which stops people from achieving there potential.
Can you also make a video or interview on moving logistics (shipping details, cost, risks pros and cons etc) like the things which NRI own and how to move these big stuffs to India from US, Aus or Canada etc.. for eg we all own a house here (what to do with that with running EMIs), sofa , dinning table and many other such things. The reason why I am asking this because this is also a big hassle for all of us to take a moving decision in addition of Jobs, kids etc...

Australia is very good for working and living . India is good for vacation for sure and not good for every day working and living imo. Just too much stress and mess.

Very good 👍, it's a growing economy once jewar airport in full completion it would be a city beyond comparison to rest of the world. You had made a smart decision.
The real struggle in india will start when kids will prepare for NEET or JEE and exam paper gets leaked.
It won’t stop here, kids will continue to struggle to find best university in India, and with the fortune that NRIs earned from overseas if able to gets able to get into good universities, then finding a job is hardest thing when India has huge unemployment rate. All the best for NRIs returns to India.
It’s still manageable than seeing your kids struggling with their gender and confused whether they are man or a woman
If we see most NRIs want to return for their parents and give cultural and family exposure to their kids. Once their kids grow then they might go back to the western world if they don’t find good opportunities in India. I think higher education which is very much behind the time and theory oriented and no scope for innovation and research plus other problems like high competition and reservation, it totally makes sense to study abroad.
the children gets freedom and they get spoiled and parents got no time to keep eye on childerens that is one of the main reason one should not move abroad
If you have money for private schooling coaching private Medicare high college fees , and unemployment even after that ...please stay here .

Same Income tax in India with absolutely no support for Education, Health, Old age pension, No law & order, No Judiciary. How good is the idea to move back to India.😂😂😅😅. One needs to integrate in society & culture to settle to any new place be it India or any where else in world. That culture & roots only sounds good on podcast we all know the Hard Truth of women treatment in india. Yes people are less competitive in Australia & society has its own problems like any other country but most of them are managed well.

Forget about any developed country, India don't even stand compare to Thailand, Malaysia & Indonesia for infra, child & women safety, Law & orders, Education & Health. Since last 5 yrs i work in different countries so i am very very sure about true pictures. Although I am from Delhi but most of the indians are hypocrites & moraly insolvent, spl ppl from North India. Even people from P & G states from india don't shy away from doing illegal stuff in Aus, NZ, USA, Canada etc.. what a shame .. ppl still vote on religion & cast, Helpless kids & Women get molested, No Judiciary for common man, Curruption every where. Not really, in that line are students who would never maje it in Indian corporate sector. For them it definitely makes sense to try something different and make a better life.

I lived for 15 years in UK, 9 years in Australia and worked as a doctor. I know the education system and the kind of young people this education is producing in the UK/ Australia..
Indian urban/ city schools are the worlds best and I know this as an insider..
As a doctor I know many things that other people might not be aware..
So, please come out of your delusional thinking that West is giving best education.
