Coolie Plum Tree (Excerpt)

Here is an excerpt from the exclusive, never before seen, interview documentary of the legendary Neville Livingston, better known as Bunny Wailer. Wailer was an original founding member of the pioneering Reggae Band, the Wailers, featuring Bob Marley, Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer. The original documentary was recorded in Kingston, Jamaica in 1994 and was filmed, produced, and directed by Malcolm W. Adams for Totown Digital Media. This sneak preview is being released as a dedication to the late Robert Nesta Marley on the occasion of the 67th anniversary of his birth. Marley died of cancer in 1981 at the age of 36.

Bunny also threatened Beverley Kong for releasing the "Best of The Wailers" record (circa 1970). Beverley Kong died of a heart attack shortly after being threatened.

@Inakablues There has been bad blood between the two from the very beginning. Bunny was not pleased with the contract between the Wailers and Island Records which is why he eventually did not tour with Bob under that arrangement. He and Peter subsequently launched solo careers. Bunny is an astute businessman and was apparently not happy with rights, royalties and percentages issues.

Blackwell did a hell of a lot for Jamaica? He made a hell of a lot of money for himself das fe sho. You can bow down to the Bayblon Shitstem and the White Knight in shining armor Chris Whiteworst but not I. To his credit, he has admitted that he thought Peter Tosh was too black and Bob was half white and more marketable to white rock audiences. He also admitted it his fault for breaking up the Wailers.
