There's always that "elite-metalheads" that actually say that this art right here is mainstream and shit.
@Thomas There is no world where i actually would believe, songs like pump it, hurrikan, tekkno train, spaceman, mindreader would be considered mainstream. They have 1 or 2 songs that MAYBE could be played on a radio station, but the rest is innovative, fun and just crazy.
but i guess mainstream today is just not heavy metalcore stuff.

I usually listen to Metalcore for the riffs and the breakdowns, but this band makes me look forward to the choruses. Nico’s voice is so beautiful!!

I just found out about Electric Callboy a few weeks ago. Already looking into going to one of their upcoming shows. Band is fucking sick!
I did exactly the same. Was hooked from the start and tried to get tickets to the Hypa Hypa tour but couldn't.
Seeing them in a couple of weeks now though!
Saw them tour with attila a few years back, blew attila out of the water, really great band and really nice guys as well
I saw them at Resurrection Fest and they were amazing.
I'm seeing them in Nottingham in 2 days
I'm sad they had to cancel their US tour with Attack! Attack!. Would of been a party.
You can really tell that this new album is made for hearing live, especially the festival circuit.
Yeah, they were at slam dunk in the UK this year and were amazing, when they finished everyone was singing the do do do do bit from hypa, great time!

Changing singers was propably the best move. The band now performs SO well with the setup, and the old singer can do what he wanted more, feels like a win-win.
Somehow many songs since Hypa Hypa felt like they went into truth or dare, got a dare to combine music styles and just went with it. Because Hate/Love wasn't like most of the other stuff - it is a great song in my opinion, what then followed though? Fun, funny, great music. And that's all that is needed from music to be honest.
I wish there was more choo choo chunks!😂 I hope live they just repeat this choo choo after the last chorus one to ten more times to destroy the whole place 😂
Right? I wish the song would end on another „choo-choo-choo-choo“, but that‘s just me. The song still slaps.
It needs a build up from insane slow to full choo-choo-choo and the outro should be a slow down from choo-choo-choo to CHOOOO! 💣

"Parasite" reminds me of "Bury Me In Vegas" era...I think this album will be one of the top this year.I can't wait to revisit this album in a year from now & let that nostalgia hit! This is the best (Where I can play the entire thing) album since "Crystals".
Same. I expected every song to have the style of We Got The Moves or Spaceman but some songs sound kinda like old Eskimo Callboy. It's so cool that theres something for fans of every EC era on that album
Parasite is very Crossfaith to me.
The robotic vocals, electronic elements and C H O N K really remind me of old Crossfaith

@@DerKomischeTyp I felt the same...I'm glad the album is very diverse in the sound & doesn't all sound COMPLETELY THE SAME...This album really is a full-experience.This is what I think the guys have been trying to make for years but,the band kinda took a more serious direction around Crystals & never really went back to the goofy-silliness of the first couple of albums.😐 Even though I like some songs on those later albums I didn't connect with them as much as the first 2.(including the EP).
I agree. I listened to Rehab only once. Didn't really enjoy album as whole. The Scene was fine but mediocre. Like, way more radio friendly one which comes to musical direction. Crystals is very good in my opinion, probably better than We Are The Mess, which is good as well. Bury Me In Vegas is their best album, imo. Tekkno didn't top it, but Tekkno is definitely better than Rehab or The Scene.
You know why I love this band? Because this has been the first time IN YEARS that I can turn on a metal band and be sure that most, if not all people in my friends group can get behind it. It's amazing. Hyped for next year, already bought tickets!

Great song, too. As always from EC. The announcer is especially funny for Germans, as the trains here are famous for being late (around 25% of the long-distance trains are late at least 5 Minutes or more). Some announcers in the real world have a habit of making fun of themselves, so you might indeed find yourself on a train where the staff excuses for being early.

Tekkno Train is probably my favourite of the previously unheard songs on the record. It's silly, but it slaps

They definitely saved the best for last, because "Mindreader" and "Neon" are the best songs on the album, and that's a lot because most of the singles are so fucking good.

Yapp. Neon and Mindreader are the two best new songs. Neon has heavy 'To the Rats and Wolves' Vibes (Nico's old band).
I always worry when bands have the bulk of their singles at the start of the album, because bands often do that when the quality dips as the album goes on. Thankfully, this entire album is great front to back.
Tekkno Train is, atm, my favourite song on the album, followed closely by Mindreader and Hurrikan, which is insane because I replayed the shit out of Pump It and WGTM for months.

I never thought there'd be a day when TDWP would drop a new record and it wouldn't be what I was most excited about. EC absolutely killed it with this one, they've grown way bigger than I thought they would back when I discovered them in 2012. So fucking dope
Exactly my thoughts. I love TDWP, but this album has a lot of slow tracks. EC had something special in EVERY track, it’s great!

Tekkno Train is probably my favorite song on the album, either that or Pump It. I wish the album was longer than 30 minutes though. It's a solid record, I'm not sure if it tops Crystals, We Are the Mess, or The Scene though.
i think ive enjoyed all of their albums, even the 2010 ep lol. crystals gotta be my favorite though definitely their best work by far

This album is really good, and surprising given that its 2022 and synth/techno metalcore is still alive and kicking.
Also if you can, please check out a band called Dreamwake. Their new album Virtual Reality is also electronic infused metalcore. Think Shrezzers/Novelists/early The Color Morale with synthwave and saxophone solos! Its a really good 80s vibe, and sick modern guitar work! Night RIder is an insane banger.
