Both you can sometimes hear him switch between auto (on flat surface) and manual (when climbing a hill) mode. I highly recomend manual mode because if the car shifts while driving your f****d
Hi! Have you tried toyota prado 2003-2008 here in the dunes? I am considering to buy a used one, or is the pajero better offroad? I used to drive my cherokee 92 here with my father’s LC almost 2 decades ago. I wanted to feel the adrenaline rush again 😁
Amazing video. May I ask, which 4WD settings did you use? 4H, 4HLc, or 4LLc? Diff-Lock ON/OFF? Automatic (D), or Sport-matic and which gear did you use?
Bro, hands down i am now in 4LLC ALL OF THE TIME with traction control fully killed....and usually at 10 PSI rear tyres and 12 PSI front two tyres. I always start in second gear low range and drive in mostly third gear low range and second gear low range. I have also used 1st gear low range extensively when climbing big dunes and when the car is fully loaded with camping gear
Must trim front bumpers..and get a rear bash plate....do it at Radical Dubai...give me your whats app number i will add you onto the UAE pajero tech talk group
Hello man, I'm totally new on offloading, I'm about to get and offroad car but confused between pajero 2D or xterra, I need it for desert and fun, any advice?
Hey bro, pajero is a very good starting car for new offroaders and great value for money. Having said that, as your offroading career develops you will realize that the paj has its quirks and can be improved with a few modifications. I had the 3.5 liter petrol 5 door and should have bought the 3.8 liter mivec engine instead since it had more horsepower and torque. For going up tall dunes, you really need that torque. Between a nissan xterra and pajero , I highly suggest you test drive both of them. Ease also note that the xterra has been discontinued and as a result resale value will plummet post purchase. Best of luck in your choice
Hey buddy. I had my pajero for two and a half years and bought it brand new. Through those 2.5 years, I bashed it on sand dunes in the desert heat and not once did it let me down. I went camping with the car fully loaded with camping gear on the roof and inside the car. I took it up fully loaded on the dunes of Liwa desert 🐪 and never faced a problem. I had the 3.5 liter V6 which is slightly underpowered for tall dune climbs, but once you get used to the Low range gearing you can make this car purr like a kitten. Now for the things which you need to pay attention to. This car is generally reliable but has its own quirks like all vehicles. One quirk i found is that after two years and heavy dune bashing, the crank seal leaks because of the monocoque body design i am guessing, and that crank seal needs to be replaced which requires the removal of the gear box in its entirely. Having said that, there were a few of Pajero UAE club colleagues who faced this issue including myself. The second major issue which i have spotted is that the Mitsubishi super select 4wd system works with some Vaccum tubes which are sometimes finicky and need attention to engage the 4wd system. I personally never faced this problem but my car was purchased brand new. In closing i suggest that you google “pajero (insert model number here) common problems” and see the results for yourself. Overall, i was very happy with the value for money which I received from owning my pajero for the time which i did. Hope that helps.

Bro I have Yokohama geolander all terrains and on newbie drives I go down to 10 psi in rear tyre and 12 in front tyre....on drives in liwa or hameem when sand is really soft I would go down to 8 psi in rear and 10 in front
What a sweet sounding V6
Are you using the manual transmission for driving?
